Ever since a recent patch, the other team has been subhuman Peruvians. Sure I get matched against them pretty much 100% of the time, but at least my teammates are English pretty much every game.

I play this game with sound off while listening to podcasts.
It's getting dull though. What's a good mindless game that doesn't need sound?

being Australian sucks cos it really limits who you can play with. if you have decent internet, you can get like 50-100 ping in SEA servers, but that's about it

the battlecups are split up into different levels depending on your MMR anyway, so it doesn't really matter what MMR you are at currently.

on the topic of local tournaments, it really depends heavily. i remember a few of my friends (who are about 5k average) played at some anime and gaming con in my local city and absolutely trashed everyone. thing with tournaments is anyone can sign up, and they basically played against a bunch of 2-3ks the whole way through.

there are a lot of local tournaments with decent players though; just depends where you live, i guess

true, i have an extremely good connection to most gameservers, below 50ms, once i switch to a region that has ~100ms I instantly feel the difference and fuck up timings... and then there are braindead monkey on Sup Forums who are trying to tell me that anything under 150ms is playable without noticeable difference, my ass
