How's that backlog coming along, Sup Forums?
How's that backlog coming along, Sup Forums?
I bit off more than I could chew and ended up dropping Persona 3 and Dark Souls 3. The worst part is that I keep wanting to go back to games I've already played and have to sort of force myself go through something new. I've just finished Liberty City Stories for the third time and I'm in the middle of my third Skyrim playthrough (atleast I this time I intent to play the DLCs too, so that's something new at least). I recently picked up Horizon Zero Dawn and started up Rune Classic, so it's not all bad though.
Finally got a good smartphone and started playing vice city again, since it's one of my favourite games and the PC port is riddled with issues.
On PC shit's huge and keeps getting bigger, no only that working on a restaurant in the summer literally fucks you up, and so when I get home I just got time for some sleep.
I'm playing through it slowly but surely. The problem is - it might be growing faster than that.
Hell is real.
What is a backlog? I only play videogames
what is this?
Backloggery or w/e it's called. Like MAL for video games.
gotcha, thanks
Stuck on the stasis giants in persona 3 fes. On hard. Its pretty retarded how you need a specific immunity to slash damage to win this fight. My options are limited to leveling my Chernobog or replacing my already awesome Thor with one that has the ability.
If i could control my entire party id probably be able to win but this retarded game only lets you control the lead character. Absolutely fucking stupid. Fun game so far tho
I own hundreds upon hundreds of games that I will never play
>tfw no backlog
Are there really people who force themselves to finish games and stuff? Just play whatever you feel like playing.
If you buy games, you should probably give them a good go
I buy a lot of games when I find them for cheap. Sometimes it takes ages before I get to try them. For instance, I bought a brand new copy of Bayonetta 2 for like 7 Yurobucks almost a year ago and still haven't given it a try.
since summer started I completed
>pokemon gold
>call of cthulhu dcote
>shinobido
>prinny
>diablo
>vagrant story
mostly games I played around release date but never finished, don't know why since they're all great.
felt like a huge weight being released from my mind once I shelved those. Still have shitload of dropped rpgs and grindfests to pickup back though.
Good luck
Watched a streamer instead of playing last night.. my time on earth is becoming less and less significant :/
Nope.
I'm just tired by the time I'm off work and kids are in bed. Being an adult sucks sometimes.
>over 20 games in the past 3 year untouched
Time is a cunt
fug
jesus christ, what happened to this man
Are these only the games that you currently own, or did you include games that you've sold off etc. in it as well?
Why do you guys keep track of stuff like this? Why not just play the games you want to play without having to show the world that you played it?
All but three are games I own. There's definitely more games to be added into that unfinished section, but fug.
Because I like it.
This generation is rotton, user. There are kids that won't play games unless it has an achievement system, so that everyone else can see what they "achieved" in the game... Sad times.
Installed horizon zero dawn and didn't play it yet, and just got the new Hitman
>added into that unfinished section
I was asking because of the low "completed" numbers. Seems strangely low to me.
I don't know which one to play honestly. Help?
It's not about showing the world. I honestly lose track of my Steam games I've played or not played and it also feels good to cross them off the "list" if you will.
Soma if you're into spooky walking sims
Just play them all in any order.
Except Devil Daggers, Fallout 4 and LA Noire.
Never have more than 3 games on the go at any one time. Don't turn vidya into a job.
Oh, I just don't 100% a lot of games.
I don't. I always keep very little games installed.
really good these past few weeks, managed to play multiple hours each day and complete games reasonably but now I want to get into a multiplayer game again
Why do you adding that they're doing it for you rather than just posting a screenshot from a tool they use to keep track of their games?
I've played
>alan wake & AN
repetitive but has a gorgeous world, kind of a meh story but enjoyable on a meta level about writer's block
>alien isolation
drags on a bit without introducing anything new but it's the best game ever made about alien and feels very authentic to the first movie aka the best one
>fallout 4
removes a lot of the rpg but the open world looting is alright
>nier tomato
it's obviously got heart, and it's a good game but I'd slap a low 7/10 sticker on it. don't go in with expectations in the clouds like I did
>teefs
dark project has some sweet tomb raiding and metal age some sweet theafan, both are excellent
>witcher 2 & 3
I didn't care for 2 too much but 3 is one of the best written modern wrpgs dialogue wise
The only one there I've played is Deus Ex, which is a solid 10/10.
Growing, as it should.
Finally beat FFXV last night. Disappointing t b h but I still started Episode Gladiolus for the hell of it. Castlevania 3 is my next "must beat." I started Nier Automata months ago but I returned to it and have no idea where to go so may have to restart it.
Thanks guys
I have over 1500 games and find it really hard to limit what I'm playing at any one time
Any recommendations?
Resi 4 I've played lots before but it's my first pro-mode playthrough/cleaning up 100%
Some others I've played before too like Cave Story, Braid, ~30 hours of Warband
It will never end.
PLAYING:
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
BACKLOG:
Kingdom Hearts (Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, II Final Mix, BBS, Re:coded)
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Final Fantasy XV
Splatoon 2
Dying Light
Tales of Zestria
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Valkyria Chronicles
Fortnite
What is that? HLTB?
It might take a while but you could always put it into a list and then random a game.
>Zelda: Breath of the Wild
How far are you into the game? I'm finally almost done. Just found the last shrine that I was missing.
About how long will it take me to complete Morrowind, Oblivion, Disgaea 1&2, Trails in the Sky trilogy, Divinity Original Sin, Baldur's Gate 2 and Dragon Quest 8&9?
About a thousand hours.
Having a backlog honestly just holds you back. Play what you enjoy and go back to revisit something you haven't finished before if you find it fun at the moment. I understand wanting to finish all your old games before buying new ones, but gaming starts feeling like a job if you're so strict about not being able to play something until you clear "X" number of games out of your backlog
I gave up a long time ago. It's impossible unless some rich relative shows up so I could play vidya all day every day without working or anything. It's only getting bigger.
fug
Yes, is my How Long to Beat profile.
Just checked off Alan Wake, only took me all of yesterday and some of today to complete it
22 games left lads... I'm fucking doing it
I've got about 35 shrines completed, 2 divine beasts done (working on Vah Rudania at the moment) and found about half the Zelda memories. So probably no very far.
That's like a third of a year. Just spend a third of everyday playing and you'll be done in a year.
Doesn't hold me back. I random a game out of it and play that when I'm looking for something to play. Any game I really want to play I play regardless.
>tfw tight time schedule every day
>tfw my backlog contains heavy as shit jrpgs which will take A LOT of time to complete (SaGa franchise for example)
Maybe if I break my legs I might be able to make some progress while getting better
>just spend 8 hours per day
Wew.
I threw away my backlog. Fuck that shit I only play games I REALLY want to play now instead of average 7-8/10 games that I kinda want to play but don't have time for.
pls more suggestions
F.E.A.R. is fun, it took me 9 hours for the main game and 5 hours for Extraction Point
Perseus Mandate is dogshit so you can skip that
it will never be finished due to buying agrahest: generations of war, no I can't be arsed to look up how to spell it.
Prey
Uncharted 4
Nier
Dragon's Dogma
Salt and Sanct
Resident Evil 7
Fuck man. The shills are so effective on here. They deserve their salary.
>I honestly lose track of my Steam games I've played or not played
Oh I have a system for tracking this too, it's called memory
41 games left in my Steam backlog. Slowly getting there.
As for my GOG backlog filled with ancient games I keep buying for dirt cheap sale prices... I don't even wanna know right now.
Currently playing through Persona 2, not sure if I'll move on to P3, Nocturne or Raidou 1 after that.
I mostly gave up on my Steam account since it's 90% shit I bought and will never play, it just turns me off when I open it up
Got a PS4 and making sure to beat every game I get before getting another one, I like it
Epic
Who here /getting there/
I'm 66 hours into New Vegas and 17 into Thief so I'll probably get those done next
0. Finished my backlog for the second time last month. I normally hovered around 10 unfinished games for the second go-around. The first time was going down from 40 or so.
It's nice to know that there is someone who actually made it
Gives me hope, good on you user
Just about done with FF3. It was okay.
No, the idea of having a backlog is ridiculous in itself. Play what you find fun. Stop buying games just because it was on sale, too.
Of all my various backlogs my video game backlog is the worse. I finished my tv show backlog last month and it feels good. My anime backlog is the next closest to finishing at around 20 shows.
Honestly if you can't remember playing a game maybe it's time to replay it or just remember that it's trash
If you don't remember playing a game and then see you put a check mark next to it do you go "oh ok i played this, no need to remember SHIT as long as I did it at one point in history". What's the point?
You're being very reductive.
I'm finally in the last dungeon of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. I really hope I'm strong enough for the final boss because I don't want to do the entire quest cycle for a third time.
I've also started my first Shogun 2:TW campaign and I found out I'm bad at battle tactics so I wonder how far I will go.
I am having so much sex and promotions and success in life and many friends I have no time for video games all of the night and sleep all of the day ha ha :D
Beat the final boss of P5 and now just have to sit through the epilogue, moving on to Danganronpa 2 before V3 comes out and playing Sonic Mania on the side.
>playing GTA on smartphone
enjoy your garbage controls
Alien Isolation, but only at night.
I don't even know if I enjoy video games anymore.
>download game
>play it for 30 minutes
>get bored and quit
>browse Sup Forums for a few hours
>repeat
How do start having fun again?
Stop browsing Sup Forums. Get rid of other distractions too.
Me, but I get hooked into it for about an hour or so, then next touch it again.
pretty well actually
grinding out a lot of games on ps4
>Come back to it years later
>It's fucking amazing
It's a horrible curse
>using your backlog as a checklist of games you need to beat
>not using it for a backup in case there isnt anything new to play
i almost finished my backlog during 2014-2016
17 Hours into Thief? It's not that long is it? Or are you doing multiple playthroughs
>still get bored of it after a couple of hours
>Backlog
Oh, well I mean I made a list at least. On backloggery, a few years ago.
I've completed maybe 2 games since then?
The solution to your problem is right there. STOP BROWSING Sup Forums.
Backloggery, it's like MAL but not as good, there are a few other options but it's the best one, they're all kinda crap if you care about sharing/etc compared to MAL though
Going through MGS series before Danganronpa comes out. Just got to The End boss fight in Snake Eater. Also playing some Dragon's Crown on the side.
After finally breaking up with annoying ass gf recently
Persona 5
SMT3 Nocturne
Bloodbourne
Got to work on my Path of Exile character
pretty nice
Is such a thing possible?
Playing - Rune Factory 4
Immediate backlog
Rune Factory Tides of Destiny
Nier Automata
Bioshock 2
Digital Devil Saga 2
Shadow Hearts Covenant
Radiata Stories
Xenosaga 2
Xenosaga 3
Final Fantasy 12 Zodiac Age
I could go on, but those are next at bat.
And then do what?
Sup Forums is pretty all i do on the internet.
