ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!
WHAT THE FUCK BLIZZARD
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!
WHAT THE FUCK BLIZZARD
S
Poorfags everyone
Is that SC:Remastered?
I can run SC2 on max yet I can't run SC1 on max
THANKS BLIZZARD. Can't even get a refund
>my ancient graphics card doesn't have enough rams to run games on ultra
Yes higher quality graphics generally require more demanding hardware.
>my ancient graphics card doesn't have enough rams to run ANCIENT games on ultra
Even a low end toaster like 1050 Ti has 4GB, what's your fucking problem?
>things that never happened for 500 alex
You can get pretty cheap 4GB cards now, user.
>only 2.2GB
even piece of shit entry level cards have 4gb vram now, you dumb poorfag
what the fuck uses realtime lighting in that game lol
>even piece of shit entry level cards have 4gb vram now
I remember my first GPU had 125mb of vram.
you playin on a macbook or somethin, mate?
>not still using a 7870
Why are you such consumerist dickwavers
>I remember my first GPU had 125mb of vram.
NEWFAG
All these apologist for blizzard
How fucking sad
>tfw you fell for the 1060 3gb meme
How can it require 2.2 gb of videoram? it's literally a 2d game how can it be harder to run than a fully 3d game? a lot of old games can look a lot better than starcraft remastered with half the amount of videoram sc:r requires wtf
It's a pc exclusive too so there's no reason not to optimize the game
>ancient
>remastered
>it's not that old engine anymore
Real-time lighting exists in the free version too. I don't know why, but it does. I have it checked right now.
>mfw can run sc2 on ultra but cant run sc1 on max
It takes real power to run pure ludo like BW
What the fuck does that mean
>He didn't upgrade his 7870 to a Hawaii 290 way back when
That's because SC1 is much more complex. SC2 was heavily watered down for casuals.
He's calling you a liar, user.
Is real-time lighting that VRAM intensive? I always figured it'd be CPU intensive.
Is he implying that SC2, a game from 2012 requires a NASA computer to run? My card is also from 2012, 2gb were the norm back then.
I'd imagine it's the other way around.
REMASTERED DOESN'T EVEN WORK OFFLINE.
>you want HD graphics, better stay online like a good goyim
>2017
>having leas than 4gb VRAM
Lad, I...
>no reason not to optimize the game
That doesn't sound very profitable, goy
>real time lighting in fucking starcraft 1
>it needs 2 gb of vram
I'm not complaining because 4 GB graphics cards are dirt cheap nowadays but how is that even possible?
this game was made for the Koreans.
what is their usual hardware? also are they known for going for ultra or lower settings?
Why are they clapping? They're not burgers.
and yet, SC2 STILL died because it wasn't casual enough. 1v1's place too much pressure on them.
Really makes you think.
the recommended specifications lists an 8800 GT or HD 4850, but neither has anywhere near 2.2 GB of VRAM. Why do they do this?
No, 4GB was the standard back then.
2GB was for low end cards.
>yfw 970 owner
>be a nu-blizz dev
>make a 20 year old game remaster for some quick cash
>say fuck optimizing this shit, I'll just shitpost on reddit
and there we are.
>2017
>Not having over 2gb of Vram
Even my fucking 660 from 5 years ago has 3gb and that card is
>NICE SEXU!
Dumb question, is SC remasted always online DRM? You can't just buy it and install it, right?
>Playing the remaster shitty hd content instead of classic graphic with widescreen option.
Casuals.
The gtx 680 shipped with 2gb
Stop fucking making shit up
There were 4gb versions but they were considered overkill
SC2 died because it aimed at PROS ("we have to force this shit as an eSport!") in the worst way by increasing the overall play speed to a nonsensical fast rate (whereas BroodWar was slower in a variety of ways) and emphasizing stupid shit like APM.
Nobody found it fun.
I wish it aimed itself at "casuals", it would have been good then.
>Yes higher quality graphics generally require more demanding hardware.
But where is the dynamic lightning? There are no effects, no time passing light effects, i keep turning on and off and i just see just a slightly brigther texture on the buildings, nothing else. The game spend 2gb of vram just for painting the textures?
>not having at least 4gb VRAM
dumb ass
>not having atleast 8gb of vram
I have 22GB of VRAM
Can't you just force it by tinkering with some user.ini file?
Bullshit. My computer is from 2013 and it has a GTX 690 card with 4GB Vram. That card was fucking hugh end back then and it atill holds up really well. The 680 which was the mid tier card that most people used had 2GB VRAM except for some editions.
>tfw only have a 7870 and a 660
>playing remastered instead of 1.16.1
stay pleb, vee
>fuck optimizing this shit
>runs at 300 FPS cap at 4K
My old 2013 gpu had 4gb of vram and can run most shit on ultra, what's your problem OP?
Time to upgrade your fucking toaster?
>Starcraft 2 emphasized APM
>As if 1 wasn't 10% strategy, 90% APM
you do realize that sc2 is a fucking joke mechanically compared to broodwar, right???????
>Fucking Starcraft 1 takes as much as Total War
what in the actual everliving Fuck
>SC2 died because it...stupid shit like APM.
No, SC2 is less popular (still far from being dead) than 1 because of custom games and the lack thereof, instead of it having an even more advanced custom game implementation than WC3, which was already great.
The sorry excuse for a browser to find and play those existing custom maps is a wet fart in the open mouth of their fans.
it's because of retards like this that optimization is nearly nonexistent now
4K textures, dumbass
VRAM's primary abstracted purpose in vidya is to hold textures
