Why is modern media apparently so afraid of six-limbed (four legs and wings on their back) dragons? Harry Potter, Skyrim, Game of Thrones and now The Hobbit (HP and Hobbit notably changing dragons that in fact were six limbed in their respective books) It's true that there has never once been a hexapodal vertebrate on planet earth, but that's why dragons and fantasy are so fun: they show us the impossible.
