Games do have better quality control now. Shit like this doesn't often slip through the cracks, and even then with games like Ride to hell I get the impression the devs/publisher knew how bad it was but predicted its ironic appeal.

You could count just about anything that made it through steam greenlight but excluding that this user hit the nail on the head OP said exclude games you don't like, Undertale and LoL aren't fundamentally broken and unplayable.

It definitely does, as anyone with a computer can easily make a game today and distribute it for free. The thing is that game publishers are a lot more careful with what they release, although they still slip up.

If you go to any site that hosts games made by amateurs/random indies, I assure you that you will find tons of unplayable, horrendously buggy trash.
