Yes. It's not too difficult, but it needs to at least be in your library for you to be able to download it again. If you never got it then I don't think there's any way to get it now.

Ah, yeah, that's right. You could have still "purchased" it way before you got a PS4 though. That's what I did.

There are a bunch of guides on Youtube. I can't find the one I originally saw and can't vouch for these new uploads, but you'll find a ton just by searching stuff like "how to download PT" or whatever. Tons of results

Same. I downloaded it from the PSN site when they said it was being deleted. I just got a PS4 a few months ago and I downloaded it onto there.

Someone managed to rip the soundtrack a while ago. Still probably the best horror game OST of all time.

I added it to my account as soon as I heard it was getting removed. I didn't even own a PS4 then. Then when I did, then upgraded the HD I downloaded it from a proxy server.
idk if there is a way I can back it up though.

if you know someone who has it tied to their account you can ask them to login on your PS4 and then do the workaround to download it onto your PS4
