>And this is our son's room...
And this is our son's room
i will never EVER understand collectors
not gonna lie, but when I was 6 I would have killed for a mario brick ramp/flagpole toy thing. All the amiibo not so much, but I was a big smb fag when I was a kid.
Your son has good taste, just get rid of all those amiibos except for like 4 and unessecary crap on the wall and 5 stars.
huh, it alright
I could albums but I also have use for them and I'm not a virgin.
In fact I dont even come to this board anymore
At least it looks neat and organized
the son is a 27 year old jobless neet for more context
How could anyone have their head so far up Nintendo's ass to dedicate an entire room to their toys?
>trying to force your shitty meme this hard
try reddit, it won't work here
>things still in boxes
>games stacked sideways
the shelf is pretty damn organized though so it's alright
>Ah, a bright lad! He has some quality taste- I enjoyed many of these when I was young also!
>And th-this... ah... This must be the black sheep of the family?
Yeah if you use them I understand but the concept of
>I spent 1000 dollars to have all of these things just to say I have em all
makes no sense to me
You dont need to understand user, no one has ever hurt anyone by having a collection of anything
The irony is that even though they're all placed carefully on shelves, there's so many of them it just looks disorganized and a bigger mess.
>pretending you are better than reddit
Teehee.
Its alright
Buyfag thread?
>W-WAhoo!
>also has PS4 vidya
At least he is not a full blown Nintendownie, so he is still ok in my book.
There literally nothing wrong with either of these people
They're just collecting something they love
My Uncle collects vintage Batman cars while sell for hundreds just because he can and he enjoys it
If it's your money you are free to spend it however you like on whatever you like since at the end of the day you are still using that money and giving back to society
never understood the appeal of buy premade figures
half the fun is building them like weeb lego and painting them up and shit
makes it feel more like an actually hobby instead of a money sink
Milhouse
The difference is Batman is universally accepted by society as being cool. Collecting anime waifu toys is looked down upon by everyone.
>half the fun is building them
Actually, this is true. I don't like Gundam, but the first time I went to Japan I bought two cheap gunplas to give it a try. It's extremely fun to build them, even tho I don't have any interest in Gundam.
>An adult man lives in this space.
>not doing something that you enjoy, that harms literally no one, simply because other people think its dumb, or gay, or weebshit
how petty your life must be
Should it be though?
I'd think it wasn't always that way since he is collecting something that had a impact on him when he was young so some people might say he's childish for having that kind of attachment to toys
Again I think people are free to enjoy whatever they want and collect whatever they want since part of the joy is knowing you're a misfit for doing it
>he's an internet millionaire entrepenaur though, so i guess it's okay if he collects toys
>i just wish he'd get a girlfriend
You can enjoy it all want, but if you're plastering posters of little anime girls all over your room you have a problem. Would you go on a date, and afterward invite them in and show them that?
collecting is just a hobby.
at some point its hoarding though and you have to really have think if what you're collecting is with it or even possible to complete.
its like looking back and seeing you spent $2k on happy meal toys worth nothing.
My parents got me that flagpole thing for my birthday and I fucking hate it. It genuinely feels and looks like a playset you'd get a toddler. They also got me half of my amiibos, All I wanted were the Pokemon, Mother and Sonic ones but I have half the fucking roster on my shelf because they kept buying them for Birthdays and Christmas. I mean I'm grateful, it's just I have no space.
>Someone built lighted shelves to show off their power level.
...
...
Each of those fucking statues is like 15 bucks, how does a NEET afford that?
...
In some countries the government pays you for literally doing nothing because of your "disability".
Cool but too much green.
>but if you're plastering posters of little anime girls all over your room you have a problem.
Says who?
>Would you go on a date, and afterward invite them in and show them that?
I wouldn't, but that's because i don't decorate my room that way. And even if i did, if i were to bring someone over and they were to judge me based om some shit like that then i wouldn't want to hang out with that person again.
easily
I buy $100+ figures once or twice a month
I'd date a girl that does that herself and enjoys it.
Checkmate, dipshit
...
Trade your good boy points into your mother for some dosh
They wouldn't take anyone home (A)
(B) If they somehow managed to get a whale into their home and the 'collection' was seen. "W-wow, user. That's... a lot of cute dolls. Do you have a daughter?"
And the collector would immediately be assumed to be a 30-year-old pedophile.
The best part is that the assumption isn't far from the truth.
>caring this much about someones private affairs
truly mind blowing
>Minecraft
EVERY FUCKING TIME
I bet all he plays is minecraft, COD, battlefield, and more recently PUBG
I didn't either until I find a series I couldn't get enough of with plenty of merch to buy. Once you fall down the slippery slope you literally can't stop and it extends outside of the series you originally were into.
Why would I date a girl who hates it? It's clear that I did something wrong by choosing someone like her.
absolutely pathetic
I think you might be retarded. While I don't like any of the content of the photo, arguing that it isn't well organized, especially given the the quantity is stupid
>needing two (2) 1080s to play Minecraft
>calling someone pathetic on a Filipino orange peeling forum
absolutely pathetic
this this this
People like to model all kinds of stuff they like in real life. If you think gigantic Japanese stompy robots are rad, model some. Bonus points if you do stuff like that pic and make dioramas that depict a moment in time like a battle or whatever. That takes a LOT of skill and hard work, and then it's basically a fucking 3-D painting.
Buying anime figures and fucking AMIBOS and then displaying them on the walls is so cringe worthy..
It's too busy and cluttered. You gotta space your figures out more or it's just overwhelming. Look at any home decor magazine, stuff on tables is kept to a minimum and spread throughout the house, not jammed all together on a single wall.
It's my fucking room, not yours, lad
How isn't any different than a for decoration China cabinet? Or doll (real not weeb) cabinet? Those are often quite dense and look perfectly fine.
People would be right to judge a grown man who has a bunch of posters and merchandise of little girls everywhere. Especially when some of those them are half-naked.
How could he not have the bottom-right three?
My gamestop had several of those g&w+duck hunt+rob 3 amiibo packs.
Disposable income.
what only works if you are not complete shit at art stuff or physically unable to do it.
I have parkinson's so doing that myself and making it look actually presentable is impossible
>caring about someones personal affairs
I bet you watch the kardashians and E network
as long as none of them have any children who cares about what they do. They'll just die alone with nothing to leave behind anyways.
All of the rooms above are my ex-bf's room
I miss the autistic fuck
>i watch moe shit
>i defend people who collect moe shit
>borderline pedophile
thanks. please, never talk to me again
Must be 18 to post here
Faggot.
>the basketball that his dad got him in a last, vain attempt to make him normal
>See what Japan has become since they went beyond beta.
>Not concerned about the state of your generation.
I bet you voted for a B-list celebrity because of internet memes and dayquil.
What if I also collect CDs?
Too little, too late. The dad should have got him into team sports when he was 5 instead of waiting until he was 25 when he'd already been corrupted by the internet.
this
I bet he only plays minecraft and roblox...
Social security.
I've got about $150 to spend on random things every month after paying my share of the bills. I don't spend it on amiibo, though.
Too bad SLI is a meme.
most games are poorly optimized for SLI or crossfire.
I do none of these things, but i defend another anons right to whatever the fuck he wants as long as it doesnt hurt anybody
i voted for bernie and then hillary my man
>that many shortcuts on his desktop
Faggot.
>people spend thousands of bucks on kids toys because they are "collectable"
>they could be using that money to travel the world and experience life to the fullest
SAD
That is my alcohol budget. Neetbux is about the dumbest meme spouted on this website. Get a job. Unless you have ms or something serious you are wasting your life.
>someone has their shit together enough to afford a home, a large collection of weebshit and an elaborate display area, while I'm stuck here shitposting on an online Taiwanese basket weaving exchange
Ftfy
What if I do both things? I travel and I buy those things way cheaper overseas. I bought pretty much everything in Japan for almost nothing.
Have you ever had a job? You can't just pack up and travel the world on a whim.
You could argue that's what makes them happier. I don't know how but yeah.
>used to play football (as in not American football)
>did judo as well
>parents buy me a PlayStation 1
>slowly loose interest in sports
>by the age of 14 stopped playing sports all together
>now 21 and play vidya all the time
Is video game addiction actually not a meme?
>Im a filthy weeb and I take regular trips to japan to buy kids dolls
you just know airport personnel have a sad nickname for this user
>what is a holiday?
excuses for being a loser
Im not saying that its not true, Im just saying that its sad as fuck
All that means is that sports were something you just didn't actually like doing, but something your parents made you do to keep you active, as long as vidya doesn't negatively effect your life you're good
>getting things as a kid on any day other than christmas & birthday
recipe for disaster
>someone elses happiness is sad somehow
This is actually the worst ive ever seen on this board, holy fuck
Maybe you are a lonely sad person who can't affor anything.
its true it turned me into autistic tard for a long time... Didn't start recovering until my mid 20s
>A good-sized, well-organized collection for something their son is clearly passionate about. He clearly put a lot of time, effort, and probably money (requiring good spending/saving practices) into this hobby. I could use someone with this sort of drive and commitment in my organization.
This was literally how I got my first job in high school from my Dad's friend. He referenced seeing how neat and clean my room and collections were when over for dinner with my parents. He said something like "someone who takes such good care of their personal space, yada..." I don't recall the rest, it wasn't very profound and this was over a decade ago.
So was your point that someone in the situation you presented should be embarrassed about the collection or its content? Video games and their associated hobbies don't carry the same stigma they had in the 20th century. The size and organization of the collection in your pic is best described as "impressive" and most people (of course not all) will see it that way.
Are you an asshole to your son that room looks way too tidy? I think your a cunt.
same as hoarding, but way cleaner.
everyone in high school were horrible people, specially those into sports, videogames kept me alive desu
>giving a fuck what bitches think
If a girl is in your room she probably already likes you.
Nah, you just didn't like those sports that much if vidya replaced them in your life.
I played baseball growing up, and always played video games too. Literally every other guy who played baseball liked video games just as much as me. Besides who do you think half the people who buy MLB games are? They're people who are into the sport.
Of course now I'm an out of shape guy in his 30s with a bad back who hasn't touched a ball in years. But that has nothing to do with video games. I blame fatherhood and my wife's cooking for that. Video games are still fun though and they're what take up most of my free time not spent with my kids.
>>what is a holiday?
>implying people can't afford to do both
poorfags need not apply desu
Old enough to appreciate gen one mario, but a splatoon poster... hmmm...
why does this little subhuman need a webcam?
