It's very top heavy and the idea of playing 12 hours of the same every day doesn't sound very fun. It must be hell for the tier 2 teams trying to break into the tier 1 competition.

Fucking retards. Pro gamers earn like 30-40k euro a month, and if you play counterstrike and makes it to a major you can easily earn 100k euro for yourself in sticker money. you play the game for 7 hours a day with your team paccing and maybe 2-3 hours by yourself being comfy.

If you're one of the best in the game you're playing why wouldn't you want to go pro? You earn a shit ton of money

I am. It's fucking hard, but it's actually a really rewarding experience. The constant improvement mindset required for it has actually helped me work out a lot of personal issues and insecurities, and it's genuinely rewarding to improve at something that you enjoy doing.
