Uh, Resident Evil 3.

Fuck your stupid thread.

Trick question?

CVX is shit. RE3 might re-use tons of assets from RE2, but Nemesis more than makes up for it. Perfect blend of action and horror, especially since each playthrough is randomized in spots.

CVX just has a shit story, nearly ruins Claire and Chris, it's backtrack heaven and most of guns and everything just don't feel good. Bandernatches also really don't fit the mood of RE to that point, although they are probably the highlight enemy. Plus is started all the horrible tropes in RE, like Wesker being god.

imagine being this retarded

>Plus is started all the horrible tropes in RE, like Wesker being god
That was the best fucking part of Code Veronica, Resident Evil finally had an Iconic villain.

CV is factually the shittest RE game. Disagreeing just to be contrarian isnt cool.

>out dated at release
>back track everything
>all enemies respawn
>several unannounced unkillable boss sections that will kill you first time every time
>have to stand still and wait to kill alexia
>scrappy doo steve

I wanna try all the RE games. Which ones on the PS4 should I play?

I already have REmake and RE4 on it

>Disagreeing just to be contrarian isnt cool.
This is Sup Forums so it is

You have all the good ones for PS4 then. Well, maybe besides Rev2 and 7. It's worth a play, at the very least.

I don't know if it's available for PS4, but you can download basically the whole series on your PS3. I replayed 2, 3 and CVX all off the psn store.

RE0, RE2, RE3 and Code Veronica HD.

Some people enjoy the classic spin-offs like Gun Survivor and Outbreak too.

RE5 is when the series start to be really bad, RE6 is terrible, but RE Revelations 1 and 2 are ok games.

Never played RE7.

Code:Veronica and revelations aren't any good?

CV isn't on PS4 as far as I know. Rev is okay.

CV had great ost. Thats it. The rest is crap.

But one thing is certain. CV was more re4, than what re4 ended being

CV being bad is just a meme, its one of the best RE games. It only looks outdated because its an early Dreamcast game.

Oh yeah, you're right. I keep forgetting that the fucking PS Store just shoves all of it's platforms together

Where is this CV vs RE3 coming from?

Why would you say "backtrack heaven" when "backtrack hell" perfectly express the same idea but with the negative connotation you used your whole post?

>Nemesis more than makes up for it. Perfect blend of action and horror

the "action" of 3 is the biggest problem, fucking dodge move is ridiculous

Speaking of RE, has there been any hint of where REmake 2 is at? I haven't heard shit since the initial announcement

Who cares? Non-numbered titles are canon all the same. Nemesis was labeled 3 to keep the titles consistent for PS players.

Nope. The only RE2 related news is this.

But Nemesis is literally a side story of RE2

I threw up a little

Resident Evil 2.

Hmm...
>The one with freakishly long legged Claire?
>The one where the twist is literally that trannies exist?
>The one with the lamest fucking uninspired soundtrack?
>The one with the insufferable canadian sidekick who crashes a plane because he was staring at Claires ass?

or

>The one where we get to see what off-duty Jill looks like?
>The one with the most iconic RE villain to date?
>The one in which you finally get to explore Raccoon City?
>The one with the smallest semblance of branching paths we'll get in an RE game?

I dunno, it's a toss up

Give 7 a go if you like old RE.
Its not perfect but Its one of my favourite games this year.

Code Veronica is more relevant to the overall story of Resident Evil, but the story of Resident Evil is literally worthless and the game itself is trash so RE3.

RE4 saved the series, love or hate it
Shit like Code veronica killed it

Voth is for __________.

Unlocking your heart

>that penis shadow on her chest

>Saved the series
>Sold worse than previous entries
>Ruined the survival horror aspect of the series
>Brought in a bunch of retarded cod kiddies
>Split the fanbase down the middle
>Has a rabid following of fanboys that claim it's perfect and "saved the series"

No user, you're so far up your own ass you see shit as being good.

It was a travesty to the series. It ruined it singlehandedly.
It's a great game, but it's a pathetic attempt at a resident evil game. Literally has nothing to do with the series except leon, ada (who died) and wesker. It's a fucking fanfiction tier laughable excuse of a resident evil "entry"

It killed off Umbrella in the first cutscene and then 5 retconned that realising how retarded that idea was.
RE2 sold more on the PS1 alone than RE4 did on the Gamecube, and it's PS2/Wii ports (which came later) put together.
The fact that it STILL hasn't sold more than 5 has even with 13 fucking ports shows just how much it "saved" the series.

Well 3 feels more like a spin-off or side story, since that's what it was intended to be. CV is the real 3, as it was intended to be the next numbered installment after 2.

...

By that logic Devil May Cry is more worthy of being called Resident Evil 4 than Resident Evil 4.

RE5 is one of the best co-op games ever made though

+1 I've been saying this for years.

Seriously, people can't dodge things in real life. I can't stand it when games are so fantastical.

The one that has the 3 in the title dipshit, this is the easiest question anyone has ever asked.

Not to mention RE3 is a fun as fuck game with a good straightforward no bullshit no drama story. And Code Veronica is a fucking shit, ugly and stuff mess of a game with a melodramatic story with a cast of fucking faggots straight out of a shonen anime.

Hoping for TGS

>a horror series needs an iconic villain

No it doesn't dipshit. Thanks for ruining a good survival horror game and making it into top 10 anime rivalries material.

5 star post my dude

It's on PS4 as a PS2 on PS4 game. Too bad they didn't port the PS3 version instead

Kill yourself

Devil May Cry came out of developing RE4, but it is nothing like a Resident Evil game aside from moving room to room solving puzzles and fighting enemies.
