>Haha KOF looks like shit >LOL look at how simplified KI is for new people >Injustice is just catering to the shitty movie fans with the roster.
On MvCI
>Whoa ok they said they're working on the graphics >The simplified controls mean that new people can play this easier >The roster was chosen so as to give newer characters a chance to shine. The MCU similarities is just a coincidence >Why is the community being so hostile to this game? We're just trying to have fun remember?
I actively want infinite to flop, its clinical and fucking lazy and I hope idiots keep note of all FGC cucks that are shilling this travesty
William Ramirez
>The roster was chosen so as to give newer characters a chance to shine. The MCU similarities is just a coincidence >to give newer characters a chance to shine
Nigga, 90% of the roster are from UMVC3. Also, you can do the same thing if you compare stuff KOF lovers say and stuff MVCI haters say. But I'll take the opportunity to have a MVCI thread.
Benjamin White
I just want to play the game because the roster makes me happy and I like having fun with friends, and I won't knock other games for other reasons. I don't believe in a hostile rivalry with DBF excites because that game looks fun too, I just want the roster to stand out from Budokai safety picks, and I'll actively play other fightan besides Guilty Gear because I couldn't get into the gameplay nor was I interested in maining any characters. Can't we all just get along?
Christian Stewart
The amount of people that are looking forward to the game despite being openly critical about it is way too short if compared to shills saying the only thing that matters is the gameplay, and haters who will find any excuse to hate the game, comparing it to DBFZ when they won't even touch it. I really want to see how the meta will develop, and I really want a character from a franchise I love to make it, but I just can't bring myself to say the roster, graphics and dlc decisions are fine.
Jackson Jackson
Present Capcom sucks dick
Colton Kelly
oh look r/kappa shills are spouting off again
everyone who has ACTUALLY PLAYED says its the best of the series. and it has the most depth of the series, infinity stones add a shit ton of creativity
meanwile hyou reddit r/kappacucks keep on about dbfz but ive played that and it has NO DEPTH whatsoever
Austin Williams
oh wow r/kappa fags saying stupid shit again people who played this at EVO says the game is great. All those assholes who posted pictures of the line being short is wrong. The line was the same size as DBZ and we had more stations.
you reddit fucks are shilling for shitty ass DBZ, who even watches that anymore?
Austin Fisher
>KOF added shading and little updates that make it far better then MVCI infinite Well maybe not far but i think characters like Geese look better then ones in MVCI. But fuck Terrys win face is still Ken levels of bad.
KOF14 is also a genuinely fucking great game so its easy to look past its graphics its not quite 2k2UM/98 but it follows their formulas and its less about 13s execution of the gods.
Landon Fisher
>Being a shill Also >DBFZ has no depth hahahahha its funny because people find more shit each build and the game has more true neutral then THROW OUT SUPER TAG IN BEHIND IT LMAO infinite.
Asher Lewis
i was kind of disappointed in the reveal initially because it looked bad visually compared to umvc3 and i was afraid of the dumbing down aspect due to removal of assists and 3 v 3 format
but its looking promising from a game play stand point, the active switch thing is fucking nuts
Samuel Bennett
r/kappa fags are even more cancerous then your typical redditor. just ignore report and sage
Luke Hernandez
I would like it to be good but since I know that it won't I want it to flop.
There seems to be about enough in it that is appealing that I want to play it but enough that is disgusting that I want the numbers to be horrible, probably going to pick it up used or g2a
Christian Garcia
-NikkiKnacks :)
Ryder Butler
sick and creative post
Ryan Kelly
Game looks fun so I bought it
Austin Butler
got it preordered. capcom deserves a lot of credit for listening to there community, fixing issues (blown out of proportion) but still doing. and then new fan favorites like jedah that nobody was expecting is hype as fuck. yipes and champs reaction at evo said it all
Jordan Thomas
>Game actually does look fun >but only characters that interest me are Dante, Jedah, Ultron, and Black Panther (who is DLC) >rest of roster is utter garbo especially considering its 80% reused characters and they still fail to bring back most of the good characters, especially true of the capcom side
I kind of want it but at the same time I dont want to support Capcom and make them think this is acceptable. I guess I'll just buy it used after a couple weeks.
Daniel Torres
Listem, you retarded motherfucker. No one is saying the gameplay is bad. Most people agree that the gameplay is pretty good. The problem is that the gameplay is the ONLY good thing about this shitshow, and gameplay alone doesn't make a game a good product worth 60 bucks. You being able to do high/lows during Dante's super doesn't make Sigma free.
Brandon Rodriguez
oh so suddenly gameplay isnt important for a FIGHTING GAME?
fuck off back to r/kappa kid, you gotta be 18 to post here
Noah Baker
I dunno. I thought SFV gameplay was good in the beta, when everyone was actually trying to play footsies and not jump/dash/mash sporadically, until everyone understood how to actually play the game midway through season 1. I wouldn't be surprised if MvCI eventually devolved into raw supers into tags and raw infinity bursts and more tags. Everyone says the game allows for creativity but I'm really skeptical about that considering how controlled and streamlined SFV's gameplay was for the sake of e-sports.
Cameron Cook
Add DBZ & Arika to the list.
Colton Sanchez
Actually, I'm "fine" with the roster picks. I always wondered about how Arthur and Nemesis would fare without some limitations UMVC3 had. The problem is that they chose the worse middle ground. If they decided to reuse a lot of UMVC3 assets, the roster should easily hit 40, or if they wanted a smaller roster like 30, the game should have at least almost 50% newcomers. Instead, they made the base roster pretty small, 90% are from UMVC3, and they left out the best characters from that game like Modok, V. Joe and Amaterasu. Sigma, half of the main villain, along 5 others newcomers being DLC is the worst offender with such a shitty roster.
Evan King
i play tekken. kof is a good game, KI is an awesome game and severely underrated, injustice is cool for what it is, sfv isnt my game but w/e.
infinite is fun and has at least as much depth as 3, i've played it. and not the shitty story demo, but the actual demo
Thomas Morales
I'm not saying it's not important. But the problem is that "FGC" people like you act like the gameplay excuses the horrendous base roster, awful dlc practices, graphics, voice acting and PR in general. We all want the game to SUCCEED. The aspect I care the most in MVC are the characters, and I'm worried Marvel will just pull the plug again if the game bombs before I get a character I always wanted.
Jonathan Jones
You should add: >Arika's Gougi System & Gameplay was received positively so far at EVO LOL Delusional Arikuks
>MvCi's Infinite Stones & Gameplay was received positively so far as well Capcom does it again! It's all about the gameplay. DBZ can't compete!
I don't even have to say what's already been said about DBZ. I honestly don't care about the pissing competition but the situation IS rather obnoxious. I already know what I'm gonna buy anyway.
Benjamin Torres
Crossover games are all about fanservice. Not mechanics.
The fact that infinite is failing at both is really telling.
Robert Mitchell
FGC people don't even care about the gameplay either. Look at the current state of SFV. Tons of people still supporting their scenes and tournies for the game even when half the playerbase thinks the game is ass. Big names saying that MvCI is a technical goldmine with all of the depth in the world even though the game isn't even out yet and people haven't discovered anything.
The FGC cares about furthering their community's (and their own if you're a big name) influence in the e-sports realm first and their genre/games second. You could get half of these people into Clayfighter if you could get it on ESPN and Disney XD, especially if there's a protour and a pot bonus.
The abstract idea of a deep game with a large playerbase and a competitive climate where the best players show off their different playstyles and what they can do with their characters is dying. No more character specialists or execution wizards allowed because it's contradictory to the self-interest of Capcom and the FGC where they want to shove as many people into the e-sports machine as possible. Can't do that with a game that has a high skill ceiling because making one that is also accessible is too difficult and it's easier to just over simplify everything and restrict what people can and can't do with their characters. Capcom sold out with their direction for SFV and I doubt they'll change it for MvCI, and the FGC doesn't care because their needs are being met with the pro tours and the sponsor support.
In the end, the only losers are the ones like us that just want Capcom to make good fighting games and see what the best and brightest can do in them. Maybe even become one of the best and brightest ourselves. But now that the games are being made only to benefit the ones who are already competing, the appeal is lost.
Anthony Thomas
It's all about money. That's the only reason why people are pretending to care about SFV
Colton Long
back to r/kappa you fucking idiot
Josiah Cooper
>10 bison dollars have been deposited into your account
Kayden Martinez
MVCI has (or had) the power to make the community grow. If someone that ain't into fightans watch MVCI on tv and decide to try it out, he can play the arcade and story mode, and even if he gets his ass handed to him online, he will have a positive mind about the game just because of the fun he had doing single player content, and might tune in to watch tournaments and stuff. Now with SFV, if someone watch it on tv and want to try it out, they will buy the game, hop online, lose a lot, and walk away from fightans.
Andrew White
>everyone who disagrees with me is a shill yep, definitely a kid from r/kappa. go back okay?
Juan Collins
The damage has been done and its already too late. This game wont be successful by focusing on casuals just like SFV and other big names couldn't with this amount of bad PR. Just try and screencap this capcumfaggots I look forward to seeing this game flop and pathetically forced in the FGC
Oliver Peterson
It's sad how money talks now. Every pro who is saying they love the game will drop it for SFV if Capcom don't pump money into it.
Hudson Martinez
not to mention capcom has internal plans to capitalize off of these players and push e-sports even harder for their games. While the leaked video was a proposal and we still arent sure if it will happen that way or not, it is pretty shitty to know this is how they think of us.
Tyler Watson
If everyone only played their favourite game ever rather than caring about competition and prestige fighting games would be completely dead because none of them would have a useful number of players. Playing Jive for CPT isn't much different than when guys went hardcore for Vampire because there was a Japanese national tournament.
Half the playerbase thought SFIV was ass and even now MvC3 has a horrible reputation compared to MvC2
William Cruz
They deserve it for selling out, honestly. Once they decided that they care more about their "career" out of games more than the genre or their favorite game, they stopped being fighting game fans. Even calling them the FGC is too good of a word for them. I realize that this isn't how a lot of people in the FGC are, but for a lot of them this is indeed the case. And what's wrong with being "dead?" Shouldn't the satisfaction of competing in your favorite game and being the best be enough? If you would rather play a game you don't like so you can make more money and be recognized by more people, you deserve Capcom's Capcock in your faggot Capass.
James Ortiz
>Be sure to preorder the Pro Tour pass!
Anthony Perry
I think fighting games are failing hard with the casual consumer base. They're doing great in gaining viewers, but they aren't what they used to be for their average playerbases.
James Peterson
Funny how seasoned players are dominant even on Fantasy Strike. Fighting games will never be big simply by the nature of it. Very few can handle the fact that only you are responsable for your losses.
Nathaniel Johnson
>numerous players have said the game is mechanically garbage >but they keep playing
Logan Powell
How the fuck did we get here? How did Capcom go from one of the greatest devs in the world with teams capable of the most memorable fighting and action games in gaming history, with fluid and memorable art work still praised decades later, to... to where they are now?
What the fuck happened?
Mason King
Change in people working for them, company goals, and culture that they exist in. Expecting everything to remain the same forever is foolhardy.
Jason Campbell
*75%
Justin Hall
>gameplay alone doesn't make it worth $60
It does for me, but I have a few gripes about the game from the demo. Gameplay alone is what makes or breaks me buying game. If you want to convince me utterly trash the game you find some bullshit in the core gameplay
Landon Gutierrez
But I guess you don't use the gameplay as an argument when people complain about pic related.
Christopher Taylor
Niggercom death when?
Jason Miller
The worst thing is that mvci won't even be fun in an esports sense cause the current cast isn't fun to spectate or commentate so capcom is falling flat even there.
Its also easy to see which characters are going to be most used and easily top for most. There's almost no gameplay available without gamora or stryder if not both cause its plain as day that they're stupid strong and versatile and that others like x and america won't serve much in the meta.
>lol how can you tell you're not a pro and the games not out yet
Cause its the same shit that always happens. People swore nash was only a beta meme character that won't be as strong on release and yet he was most used til season 2 from the very first beta.
Ian Rivera
Nobody can argue about the gameplay aside from the very few who have actually gotten to play it yet. And even then there's no telling where the game will go when it's actually released. I am definitely concerned after the direction SFV went in though, and rightfully so. I'll pirate the game first and if the gameplay does turn out to be good and I want to play online, I'll buy it.
Austin Evans
I think if a company were to stop trying to treat fighting games like traditional AAA releases and concentrate on a release aimed towards the FGC, it could sell well, and by well I mean in the millions with a tidy profit and a lot of opportunity to make money through officially funded tournaments and of course DLC.
They can be big by their own standards, fighting games will never be like other games and that's all I want companies to realise.
Tyler Turner
Literally what Capcom did for SFV and you see how shit that was
Evan Moore
>everyone hating on nu-capcom is a r/kappa user
every fucking time with this guy
Brandon Cox
stop existing
Ian Jones
>the 4 people who played this at evo says it's great >yipes, combofiend, left behind and fchimp
Ayden Brooks
What's your agenda, John D?
Noah Gonzalez
Well, the big problem with SFV is it's not very good mechanically, looks ugly, was buggy as shit, and had little to no content. Release strategies don't mean fuck when the game's bad.
Asher Campbell
Sfv is proof that you can't market to both which is what it tried to do. It didn't specifically target the fgc, it targeted casuals too but roped in neither.
Tekken is the closest thats ever come to doing that and even then i wouldn't call that a success but more of a lukewarm response.
Andrew Roberts
>that guy that always talks about whatever the fuck r/kappa is in every MvCi thread
Kayden Phillips
Imagine being so deluded that you think everything negative said about Capcom is part of some smear campaign, and not just because they're a shitty company that pissed away the goodwill of their fans.
Adam Long
Homogenous Fighterz does look really bland though, the same combos keep being used ove and over. Once people get over the honeymoon phase of a DBZ fighting game, people will get bored and stop playing. I mean look at this, despite being a 128 hit combo, it's still the same boring abc combo into dragon rush loop ending in a super and dhc and every extended combo follows that pattern. No creativity, no variation in movement either it's all just homing dash galore.
>Combofiend shows off a "combo" in new marvel >It's literally a ABC launch ABC Fly ABC cancel into super combo
I have no doubt it'll be balanced like SFV, where all the week 1 tech is still viable even with all the balance changes it went through. Arcsys games have been very creative, even their really shitty ones.
Blake Bennett
are you actually quoting yourself? that's really sad man
