If Sega came back into the hardware industry would you support them, Sup Forums?

i will buy as many consoles from them as i do from microsoft, sony, and nintendo
Sure, healthy competition is good for the vidya industry. Plus their god-tier slogans would come back
i buy the things i deem worthy of spending money on
i dont support businesses because i feel they 'deserve it' or something
No, their software's not good enough to carry a console anymore.
No, they messed up so many times after the Megadrive They mismanaged so much I could literally spend an entire thread explaining how they fucked up so much. Sega had their time and decided to fuck it up.
>I could literally spend an entire thread explaining how they fucked up so much
I bet you can't write 3 paragraphs about it.
given a sentence or two a post, that's about a thread
lol fuck no
As long as it has exclusive Nep games on it.
There's all but a guarantee that SEGA would just job again and make the console end up doing complete shit.
No.
SEGA isnt the same company they were back then. they have way less studios now. if they were to add more studios and pull something like the dreamcast where they had each of their top guys managing one studio and pump out as much exclusive content possible, i would buy one in a heart beat.
>Sega owns Atlus
Unwillingly.
what makes u say that?
No. At this point it would mean about as much as if Atari came out with another console (which is nothing).
Nintendo is what Genesisn't
true
Realistically, probably not. Unless they give some more of their DC-age series (Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5) and more fun Superstars games.
Only if they brought treasure back and do Aliensoldier 2 and Gunstar Heroes 2
I'd have to buy a console only for EO, that's basically a game every 18 or so months.
Hell no. Modern sega is cancer of the worst kind, and plagued with poorly trained/skilled programmers on top of it. It'd be a worse mess than the 3d0
Maybe. If it was just Genesis classic $60 emulator box BS, no. If it was an actual console I'd buy one, Sega has more than enough titles to make it work in theory and even if their performance is inconsistent there'd be enough games on it to make it worthwhile.
Blame ATGames for us never getting a good one.
one thing i like about sega consoles is that it had a lot of new ips from sega themselves
If it was good and had good games
>would you support them, Sup Forums?
I loved Genesis, Saturn (sort of), and Dreamcast but it will take more than just them simply making a new console. I need to know what it would be like, what demographics they want to go for, are they just going to put out a DRM or Onlive type machine for example, and so much other variables.
I'd love to see them do what Nintendo is doing with their NES and SNES mini but even better. Give us the Genesis and Saturn mini. They can start small here before making more consoles.
Now if Sega coming back into hardware means getting rid of Microsoft or perhaps the two working as partners then it sounds pretty damn good to me. If the Xbox brand somehow outlasts Sony then Sega wouldn't really stand much of a chance against such a juggernaut.
So basically I would be in favor of one of these three scenarios:
>Sega vs Sony vs Nintendo
or
>Sega/Microsoft vs Sony vs Nintendo
or
>They don't choose to compete with the other three but instead release specialty kind of consoles. Such as mini's of their old consoles.
Even then I still would want to know what Sega's goals and motives truly are. Their exclusives don't hold the same power that they did in the 90's. They would need so truly great AAA games to really sell a new console that could compete.
