The edgier console is always more popular in the hood.
The Wii is the exception, due to how cheap it was and the gimmick amazed them, and the media made them eat it up.
Zelda and Mario doesn't appeal to blacks, so owning a Gamecube was almost a waste in the ghetto. But those who did own it, did get a lot of mileage out of Double Dash, Resident Evils, Melee and any Sonic games.
