for me, it's "telegraphed"

makes my goddamn blood boil

Telegraphed means "Signals what he's about to do."
It's a legitimate word.
...
It absolutely is a buzzword and is used by shitters when they don't know what the fuck they're talking about or use it to piss me off when they know damn well hitboxes are shit or suddenly without warning does an unavoidable attack
Fun.

This. Enemies literally have have a wind up that tells you what move is coming.
"It's just a game"
literally, genuinely, what do you mean by this?
>boss is large man with sword
>pulls arm all the way back, visibly winding up a swing
>then swings
him pulling his arm back is a 'telegraph' for the attack that is about to come out
It's a boxing term, why are you being retarded
Souless
literally what the fuck does that even mean
i like video games
>wind up
stop this meme
enemies don't grab a baseball and autistically wind up their arm and rotate it before throwing the ball at you, it's more like instantaneously attacking without a tell
heh.. south american....
Now this is a buzzword.
>What does it mean
It's the latest adjective kiddies are using to try to shit on video games. I've seen it a lot with BOTW.
Fun fact, it's actually used by people with functioning eyes and brains. That's why they can beat the easy boss easily and you are in fact the shitter. That's why you're losing and getting mad, see?
means it's a game without soulslike elements
I think that could be applicable for certain games, but I do agree that some people may use it incorrectly and a buzzword.
It's not like Dark Souls.
>it's more like instantaneously attack without a tell
You may actually be mentally retarded. Go get yourself checked out.
youtube.com
I'm fairly confident you're baiting but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. The section about godhand does a great job pointing out some telegraphing. If you can't react in about a third of a second then you just might not be cut out for action games.
>telegraphed
>unavoidable attack
????
It means that you deduced that the people working on the game had no passion for it.
...
I don't hate buzzwords, I hate that I haven't been able to tell for sure what's satirical or isn't or if someone is retarded or just pretending on this site for a very long time.

>What is Ocarina of Time?
"Skill" when it's used as a synonym for "twitch-based" never fails to piss me off. I.E "RPGs take no skill because you can't dodge attacks"
fun is though
"comfy"
ironically i was going to post "autist" as a buzzword i'm tired of seeing
expand your vocabulary you fuck
I've literally NEVER heard this ever
>literally
But Mario RPGs and Soulsborne give you the ability to dodge, counter, or guard against attacks through timing.
People who say grinding in turn-based RPGs means you aren't good at playing.
It's a game about numbers, bitch..
People usually mean mechanical skill when they say that and 99% of rpgs don't require any. They require planning and other sorts of skills.
Not just about numbers, it's also about strategy to utilize those numbers most effectively.
Shill.
I think this one is valid. People who outlevel content instead of formulating a strategy are kind of bad. Skim a speedrun and watch how easily they clear content while heavily underleveled.

You fuckers are parrots sometimes.
>don't pay attention, don't understand game mechanics, or have bad reaction time
>get hit by enemy because of one of those reasons
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW I WAS SUPPOSES TO PLAY THE GAME TO BEAT IT???
This game is too video gamey
people that use buzzword just because they don't like a word
You're a retard. You should probably kill yourself now.
>Somtimes
Are you new to 4chin sir?
buzzword triggers me.
Yeah that typo took me back, back to the past.
>TELEGRAPHED STOP A TERM TO DESCRIBE WHEN EVENTS ARE OBSERVABLY FORETOLD BY SOME DETAIL STOP IN CASE OF BOSS FIGHTS THIS WILL OFTEN BE A PARTICULAR ANIMATION SUCH AS A WINDUP OR LINE OF DIALOGUE STOP
>watching someone play a game
>skips through tutorials or doesn't pay attention to them because they're too busy shilling their donations/subs
>a little while later spends 30+ minutes trying over and over to do something, gradually complaining more and more overtly about how the game is "bullshit"
>chat telling them how to do it and that they're dumb for not realising they've had a tutorial on it
>refuses to even acknowledge it was their fault when they finally get it done
THE TUTORIALS ARE THERE FOR A REASON YOU FUCKWIT MAYBE PAY ATTENTION INSTEAD OF SHOUTING OUT ALL THE FUCKING GOYS DUMB ENOUGH TO PAY YOU FOR BEING RETARDED AT VIDEOGAMES
I hate that I have to sit through mandatory tutorials because of these stupid cunts.
"anime"
what the fuck does this even mean? The most prominent example would be with the newer MH games (X, Gen, XX and now World). People arbitrarily throwing the word around then when someone points something out that has been in the games forever they counter with how it (something they like) isn't really "anime" when something else (something they don't like) is because [insert completely subjective totally arbitrary categories here].
Buzzword is a buzzword. So is "trigger".
When another similar game come the soulless game just become obsolete.
Floaty is the only one with any meaning to me. The rest are just people poorly describing games, or using buzzwords to perpetuate a bias without stating reasoning.
>that part during the HL2 episode commentaries where they talk about why the antlion chase section is some basic bitch shit
>"Some guy walked in a circle for like an hour so we had to take all the complicated parts out."
if you're too dumb to not realise you're walking in a circle for over half an hour maybe video games aren't for you?
...
for me souless is used when a company shits out a game for profit over actually wanting to make a video game.
Ex.MvCI is souless because capcom decided to neglect the gameplay, character designs, and charge 30 dollars for shit on launch.
>Telegraphed
>Unavoidable
Do you have eyes or do you just dictate to a handler?
#EA
Yeah I dunno man. I was always the kid that read the whole manual before playing the game. And at some point the game started forcing me to play through the manual in game because everyone else can't be bothered.
I remember the demos for Nioh were fairly eye opening to me because the complaints and questions on here indicated to me that people did not try out all the buttons to see what they did, they did not read the tutorial hints, and they did not check their menu. In summation they were dumb.
How will OP ever recover?
>I don't like game
>why
>it's Reddit
To play the shitty games that suck ass?
Theres no passion or creativity put into it?
Are you retarded?
It means "I don't like it"
WHAT A BUNCH OF COCK A DOOKEY BUMBLE FUCKS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS.
...
clunky is when the controls or mechanics feel way too stiff.
wonky and janky are when the game has unreliable mechanics, or can be used to describe a buggy underpolished game.
floaty is self-explanatory and the most obvious one on that list. Everybody who plays platformers eventually experiences a game with shitty floaty controls.
Agreed.
...
>poorly aged
GAMES DON'T AGE YOU INSUFFERABLE CUNT, THE ONES AND ZEROS IN THE CODE ARE THE EXACT FUCKING SAME. YOUR OPINIONS ON THE GAME CHANGE, NOT THE GAME ITSELF
its a figure of speech you autist
Why is there so much toxicity on this site?
How can you genuinely gauge if something has no passion or creativity? How many people need to have passion for the game for it to not be souless? 1? 50? 90% of them?
...
>you can tell what the enemy is about to do and respond accordingly
>somehow this is too easy and not fun
I just don't know.
>Sup Forums buzzwords that unironically trigger you
Reddit
>someone produces any form of OC
>its called Reddit
>meanwhile Sup Forums and Sup Forums memes up the ass (the boards that are actual Reddit colonies)
...
It's shorthand for saying a game's mechanics or design choices have over time become incredibly dated or made outright obsolete compared to further advancements down the line.
A good case for this is JRPGs, just fucking play any 80's JRPG filled out the ass with grinding with generic Dragon Quest style battle systems then play something like Chrono Trigger or Radiant Historia.
it is now fag
It's a perfectly valid figure of speech and you drank the Sup Forums koolaid at some point.
That's what happens when something demonstrably incorrect is stated
Cashgrab/uninspired.
>"immersion"
>"Aged poorly"
>"Comfy"

>non-retarded people tell op he's retarded and that boss telegraphs the ability really clearly
>op cries on Sup Forums about the word "telegraphing"
>op gets called a dumbass by dozens of people
>l-lol i was just pretending, guys
haha eat a dick
Because you're a complete fucking retard if you think telegraphed/telegraphing is a buzzword.
I mean fuck, YAR'S GODDAMN REVENGE ON ATARI 2600 FROM 1982 HAD TELEGRAPHED ATTACKS
Off yourself
>generic Tolkien-esque fantasy
>>Immersion
>>It's a bad X game but still a good game
Legitimate complaints or compliments.
>Its trial and error so its bad
"This game hasn't aged well" is a concise and simple way of saying "Standards have evolved and this game is well below these new standards, making it a way less enjoyable experience nowadays, when you have a larger catalog of video games to play with a ton of them being better than this game in what it's trying to do"
Hope this helps
