I TRIED to get into Saturn when the Mednafen core first came out. I can see the appeal but I just found nothing for me. Only game I ended up liking on it was Elevator Action. Maybe Bomberman but I didn't have anyone to play with. I don't think Super Tempo worked at the time so maybe I should check if it does now, that game looked interesting.

So this is why autists two favourite stuff includes sega nostalgia and shitty overated eva huh ? Really deactivates my diamond.

What would your ideal Evangelion game be?
I think adapting the original story correctly would be almost impossible but I don't know.
Maybe just have it be you play as Kensuke in an alternate universe where he becomes a pilot and just fuckin fight angels with good mech fighting mechanics while whole-heartedly enjoying yourself and the game doesn't take itself seriously at all.

Also, if you're interested in JRPGs, try out the Dragon Force series (SRPGs kinda like Ogre Battle. The second game was Japan-exclusive, but it has a translation patch), the Shining games (Holy Ark is a dungeon crawl, Wisdom is a top-down ARPG a la Zelda, Force 3 is an SRPG like Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem), Albert Odyssey, Magic Knight Rayearth, or Panzer Dragoon Saga.

The Saturn had tons of other RPGs which look interesting that have yet to be translated, such as Wachenroder, some of the later Langrisser games, and the Sakura Wars series.
