Don't know about 6, but yeah, 5 was fun in coop, and mercenaries mode was fantastic. But it wasn't a RE game. RE4 isn't a real RE game either, and went way too far, but at least it's a really solid game and a breath of fresh air in the franchise.
Totally forgot about CVX, and I don't even remember the game, not even sure if I played it.
But 0 on par with 4 and 7? Nah, I can't agree. 0 was fun but it can't compete with 4 and 7.
5 is one of the most underrated coop action games out there. I can't stand when people tell me it killed the horror aspect when that died with 3 and 4

3 was still horror. yeah it wasn't as scary as 1 and 2, but that's just because the third time isn't as scary. But it was still resident evil.
Then came RE4, and turned the series into baby's first third person action game with infinite ammo, no zombies, a trillion cutscenes, the longest escort mission EVER, and QTE up the ass, pretty much EVERYTHING wrong with modern gaming put together. At least it did it right, and there were still a couple intense moments, plus just like gears of war it set a standard for TPS shooters. And I like the game, bought a gamecube to play it at release, but I'm still really pissed. And I'm even more pissed when people say RE4 is totally a RE game but RE7 isn't.
The demo was a walking simulator. Outlast had more gameplay than that.
I mean, the atmosphere was pretty good, but are you really saying you would have preferred to play a full-sized game like the demo?
