I'm planning on trying them all. I'm looking forward to Holosmith because I hate how engi plays and Holosmith might be the turning point. Weaver is going to be ele on steroids so I'm pretty hyped for that, too. Scourge and Mirage look interesting, and I've waited years for a ranger that's not hammered down by the pets' crappy AI. Renegade and Deadeye look promising, too. I guess I'm not very hyped for Spellbreaker or Firebrand but I'll check them out, too, just in case.

It often feels like the developers almost stumble on a good idea, then go the wrong way with it.

Raptor was fucking amazing, if the other mounts are just as good I'll get the expac on day one.

On a side note, won't the skimmer make gliding obsolete?

I'm testing spellbreaker right now
looks like there's some good opportunities to use increased crit damage to heal yourself
also the skill icons look like gw1 style icons so that's pretty cool

Not really, no. By all appearances it works more like a hovercraft than a glider. That said, apparently they were saying ther are no expansion areas that REQUIRE glider, so I guess it's a moot point. Pic related, on the other hand...

What I'd like to know is how they're gong to implement the mount choices after you have multiple - obviously you'll acquire mounts as you need them in the maps, but what happens afterward? If it's something like "Springer only in this zone, raptor only here, manta here" or whatever, how will the multiple mounts be implemented in core zones? (And they will be, since they have glidng AND mount suppression in core JPs already - if it wasnt going to be a thing it stands to reason it wouldnt be excluded.)

I had issues with authentication emails not being delivered to the email I gave (not in spam, web-based email, they just werent showing up for some reason), Try with a different email (responses might not be coming through, explain that to them and CC your other email), and ask to see if they can escalate it since it's been days with no response.

that's part of why testing in pvp is a bad idea. We don't know for certain how well these specs will function in a pve setting. For example, spellbreaker is crazy good in pvp but most enemies don't place boons on themselves in pve so it's not likely to reach full potential there. holosmith and soulbeast seem like they could be really good in a pve setting rather than pvp

Soulbest imo is meh. The mechanics are nice, and I absolutely love the new pets. But damn it's a hard no in pvp for me. For them, I don't see the meta shifting at all.
Holosmith is fun, and it'll get some usage. If you enjoyed scrapper's survivability, you'll hate Holo.
That elite skill though is way too much fucking fun.

But yeah as I said, testing in pvp is really awful. I get why they did it, but fuck way too many guys going full current meta instead of experimenting which skewers shit because they've had weeks to play, and ofc beta testers only have two hours-ish.

It's good in PvP as a resbot with the func gyro and WvW zergs due to the nice quickness uptime and good defense.

Exactly what it looks like, user. A griffon mount. This image was leaked with the rest of the stuff a few months ago, but has oddly not been mentioned whatsoever by Anet. It's likely either going to be a new mount released with a living story update (more likely, since it's a completely different archetype and not just a reskin of something we have), a gemstore item that serves as a skin (less likely but still possible, because muh shekels), or cut content (least likely, but still possible (I'm looking at you, school uniforms.))

Mount skins are coming to gemstore though.

Deadeye maximum fun, really garbage in pvp unless you have a spellbreaker

They'd be fools NOT to offer mount skins, especially with how many glider skins they put out.

Thing with the griffon is, though, it doesnt really feel like a skin - it doesnt really match the theme of the other mounts, and seems to be it's own thing.

Also, thought I remembered one so I went and checked - there's leaked mastery images that explicitly mention a griffon, so I guess change the above to either cut or future content.

I was always a fan of the toy golem. Such a simple design, but still somehow better than the standard rounded lump golems by far.

Thoughts of the new armor and weapon skins coming with PoF? More annoyingly stupid waistcoat and tailflaps for medium and heavy. Some nice looking weapons, at least.
