I saw that Bloodborne was $20 so I picked it up. This game is fucking hard. What's the point of a fucking gun that's impossible to stun with? Are there just no shields? This game is hard and scary and I hate it.

It's easier than DaS2 and 3.

>What's the point of a fucking gun that's impossible to stun with?

Someone didn't pick the blunderbus

If you time the shot right, the gun will stun. In fact, it better than a stun. It's a straight up parry that lets you 100-0 anything that isn't a boss most of the time with one riposte.

Use the bigger gun, that one Does stun those faggots

More Dakka always wins

Go and get the blunderbuss

What's the best weapon to pick for a noob?

Ludwig's Meme Sword and the Blunderbuss.

Can't go wrong with a giant axe

Have you played Demon's/Dark Souls? Play the game, the atmosphere is great, isn't it? You'll eventually git gud, it's the best PS4 game and better than all of the Souls games

>I haven't played a layer 5 chalice dungeon with cursed and rotten defire, I also haven't touched the DLC

Transform that Hunter's Axe.

Hold the strong attack.

Destroy all mobs.

>chalice shit
And Laurence and Orphan are the only two truly hard bosses in the rest of the game.

What about Ludwig?

I've tried a few times to get through DS1. Only got as far as the Four Kings.

I've finished ALL souls games and I can't beat Amelia

You picked a good place to stop, everything after Four Kings is some of the worst stuff in the series if not the worst.

Check out some YouTube videos on riposte-ing. Use the giant guys with the rocks in the beginning for practice (not the dude with the axe, he's just there to fuck you up and doesn't give you anything good). You'll figure it out, you just have to hit them a little later than you'd expect. Everytime you get damage, you have 5 sec to get it back. If you riposte them at the same time they hit you and then go in for the visceral attack you'll get all your health back.

Then you haven't beaten all the games now have you?

well I meant DeS, DS, DS2 and DS3

You gotta bully her hard, user.

Practice getting super aggressive while watching for her tells and you'll beat her no worries.

Yeah, no.

>Try to maximize your damage output as much as you can, either by pumping your remaining Echoes into a stat or two, or upgrading your weapon, whichever is most important
>Pack 10 Molotovs and as many Fire Papers as you want
>Open the fight up hacking away at her legs, keep your ears perked up for when you get the visceral opener sound effect, run around, and poke that bitch in the eye
>When she gets to around 50% HP, lob every single molotov you have at her, keep running circles around her attacks, and keep a visual on her tells. Don't ever get into her melee range at this stage.
>When every Molotov is exhausted, she shouldn't be anywhere above 10%. Lay into her with a basic combo or two and she'll die
>Git Gud

>hard and scary and I hate it
Found the literal normie

What weapon(s) are you maining? Also what is your stat distribution?

If she tries to heal, throw one of those mist consumable items at her to stop it.

I'll just say
>play aggressively, you're weak but the game encourages offensive gameplay, at least comparatively to Dark Souls
>the gun is used to parry, but because of that you need to practice timing with it
>there are no shields, mostly because of my first point
>you'll be able to branch out into other playstyles as you go on
Keep at it. It's very weird starting off but once you get a grip it's a fun romp

If you got the Lordvessel, you played all of the content that's actually worth playing. The entire second half (apart from the DLC, that's okay) is fucking terrible.

pick an arm and hit it, when you break it you will do extra damage, doing this properly with fire paper can keep her stunlocked for entire fight

Beat him first try personally.

>>you'll be able to branch out into other playstyles as you go on
This is forever going to be my ultimate complaint about Bloodborne. I get the idea that they wanted most of the game to "feel" like a standard, regular series of hunts and battles until you start getting a grip on the setting's genuine insanity, but why the fuck can I not make anything resembling an Arcane build until I've killed numerous bosses where an Arcane build would be ideal in fighting them? Why the fuck can I not use anything relevant with high Bloodtinge until 50% off the game? Like, literally nothing? They couldn't have simply put a higher Bloodtinge variable on the Rifle Spear? They couldn't have dropped some mediocre Hunter's Tool earlier in the game? It just turns every experience into a ball of DPS and depriving yourself of levels until you hit a checkpoint.

I got the Tempering Blood Gemstone! Fuck you fat asshole! I got a gun!

Axe for sure.

you hate bloodborne? well i fucking hate you, you dumb faggot

This.

If you need help msg me @ daroth_arsona

This reminds me. Yesterday i beat the bloody ctow of cainhurst with a +6 cane. And didnt heal one. Is bloodborne actually hard?

Delete the game from your PS4, disable the internet for your PS4 and reinstall the game then do the duplicate glitch. The sewer in the beginning area (next to the two werewolf) has a cold blood that give you quite a bit of blood echoes. Duplicate that and level yourself to 70+ effortlessly. If you struggle with any bosses, just leave your PS4 on for 14 hours + so the memory leak basically mentally retarded the bosses for you to easily take him/her down.

>buying physical

nah, it is easy once you upgrade your weapons. The game literally gives you free blood vials. Still the best since Dark Souls 1.

>The game literally gives you free blood vials.
[citation needed]

Don't worry, OP. It's a shit game, it's only praised by 14 year olds because
>DUDE LOVECRAFT LMAO

>Bloodborne
>hard

You wot

This.

Seriously. It's the easiest in the series, by a fucking mile. And I was a complete turtle bitch when I played the DS games.
Once you learn BB's controls and mechanics, even just have a basic grasp, it's hilariously easy.

>Bloodborne is eas-

>This game is fucking hard

The normal Rom is ez but the chalice dungeon version is absolutely cancer.

I think that's surely a negative, tho I never personally felt it. Maybe they wanted people to replay the game with different weapons and playstyles since bb doesn't have as many weapons as the Previous games.

What about Rom? Don't lock on, play it slow and take out the spiderlings one by one, watch her at all times to know when she's doing her magic.
I have literally never not beaten story Rom on my first try, even at up to NG+3.

You can make Four Kings a penultimate boss you know
Couldn't beat him so I decided to watch a full playthrough on youtube. I mean, I was tired as fuck of playing this game, didn't have any motivation to continue. It's one of my favorite games though

>You can make Four Kings a penultimate boss you know
How? The credits don't roll until Gwyn is dead.

>penultimate
Do you know what this word means, user?

As far as I remember penultimate doesn't mean last

>he didn't pick it up for $10 at Frys
>lets you 100-0 anything that isn't a boss
Wrong.
Any gun can do the visceral attack

It's actually quite easy.

Just remember to put most of your levels into Vitality, and that positioning is way more important than i-frames or parry windows. The vast majority of Bloodborne's enemies can be trivialized just by dashing past them and slapping their ass with R1.

>If you got the Lordvessel, you played all of the content that's actually worth playing. The entire second half (apart from the DLC, that's okay) is fucking terrible.
What content is there even left if you got all the lord souls?

There's a difference between parrying and stunning. The blunderbuss and rifles have a later parry timing, but compensate for that by outright staggering more easily.
That generally makes the blunderbuss a better choice for first time players.

>Any gun
Cannon and Church Cannon can't.
Flamesprayer and Rosmarinus can't.

Gwyn fight

Personally I wish they just dropped player leveling entirely and just had you level weapons. It's a real bummer when you find a weapon you like late game but are totally unsuited to use it.

Can we all agree that Bloodborne>any Souls game?

Axe for starting wepaon, Whirling Saw later on (if you have DLC)

if you run a SKL build then Saw Spear and Beasthunter Saif

No.

pls b in London

I picked up the game on sale I couple months back, my ps4 broke the week after not sure why I posted this here but I just felt like it

>Rom
>hard
you must be clinically retarded

even Gascoign is more challenging

Bloodborne did twinking right

-y

What's that smell?

I'm reading this as "I got him stuck in the door jam and whipped him to death". He's hard like bullshit hard at low levels.

>called "rifles" in game
>shoot multiple tiny pellets with huge spread
what did From mean by this?

How do I unsubscribe to ur blog

PC Friend here, currently borrowing a friends PS4 to play through this game and it's DLC.

Just beat Vicar Amelia and i am enjoying myself so far. The only thing that's bothering me is that the Saw Cleaver seems to be best weapon so far, but also the least interesting.

It's weird that some bosses can be beaten in one try, but others can take hours, and which bosses those are is different for everyone.

man good blog dude i enjoyed reading it. tell us more about your personal experiences that add nothing to the discussion at hand

This, I downed Cleric Beast, Father Gascoigne and Bloodstarved Beast on my first tries, but Vicar Amelia took me a week

Yes. Ignore the nostalgiafags.

Preemptive fuck off to that one guy

Hit her left arm, to stun her. Stay close to her later on so she won't heal as often.

10 days

>BSB was a cakewalk
>Amelia was a nightmare that took 15 tries
>Ludwig's 1st phase was just BSB 2.0 but the second phase gave me the hardest time

>easier than das3
Completely wrong

>die 120 times to Gascoigne as payment for learning how to play
>first time clear every other mandatory and optional boss and don't even take damage from most of them until ebrietas
>my reliable strategy of hammering legs doesn't work on her, die endlessly for two days
>ask for help and get told a bunch of convoluted shit that doesn't work
>die another thirty trillion times to her
>get pissed off and decide to just face tank her charges with the cardboard shield and hammer her head nonstop
>beat her in under two minutes and only heal once
>never die to another boss in that playthrough
>friend tells me I didn't REALLY beat the game because I didn't want to pay 20 dollars for dlc or do chalice dungeons for 60 hours that are all just the same stone corridor repeated indefinitely
I eventually caved and replayed as a weeb build in the dlc. Swordfighting Maria using hunter's bone and without parry is the most anime shit in video games, especially if you match her blood and fire transforms with your own. 100/10 boss, literally cannot be topped.

*teleports behind you* nothing personnel kid

Can I play the DLC on ng+ if I'm level 105 and have a +10 saw?

>he uses the NTR blade which never should be used

>>mfw i spanked vicar Amelia in one try but father bsb eribitas margos nurse fucked my world up.

I first tried Amelia, Gascoigne, Ebrietas, Gehrman but Moon Presence and Wet Nurse raped me

Shut up edgelord
