I hate how a canon part of DR3 is exclusively an anime. Otherwise, the main games are excellent and I'm looking forward to playing the new game

One of the most mediocre game series of all time. They manage to do quite a lot right, but completely flub a bunch of things that leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The Good

>Monokuma and Monomi bants
>Kirigiri, Togami, Komaeda
>Both games fifth cases
>The "style"
>The events of the murders themselves are well written

The Bad

>The endings, dear God are they are terrible
>The actual writing for the cases themselves, things are not revealed in a proper way, often just handed the answer or left wondering what the fuck the writers wanted you to figure out
>The minigames are not that enjoyable, and contribute to the above problem, Logic Dive and Hangman are incredibly guilty of this
>The writing of the characters, nobody seems to give a shit that Komaeda is a fucking mad man, or that their best friend just died, or there's a fucking serial killer and Yakuza boss hanging around
>Music is acceptable but there needs to be more tracks

Honestly the games would be much better if they could properly write an ending and bothered to proof read their fucking writing and cases.

The new one comes out in a couple weeks, I guess people are just thinking about it.

Game is shitty and so are the people who like it. Also, the plot is bad, the characters are cookie-cutter archetype cut-outs, and the art style is atrocious. Sup Forums only pays attention to it for waifus, which is equally stupid because 90% of them are dead now.

They do though. They only figure out how much of a nutjob he is after case 1 and he pretty much stays a pariah for the rest of the game, despite his contributions to the investigations

Some of the 3D stuff and shadows are all blocky (the waterfall behind the muscle Monokuma statue looks like absolute shit) and none of the game is 60fps. The patches fixed the shitty sprites and voices it had at first and some of the performance like the loading and room transition screens being a second or so shorter but there are still parts that run below 30fps.

PS4 version runs at 60fps all the time, has like a 2-3 second room transition and looks a lot better.

I love hope man, the way everything always worked out for him in a twisted is such a interesting curse to have and the way he gushes over the main character, it was entertaining to watch and the way he died was fucking incredible, I was so glad and shocked that he wasn't murder by the others, and that feeling when you realize that his final act of luck was to get the "traitor"
to kill him made my heart sink, I loved and hated him for it, top tier insanity
