Well right after the first couple eletric shit there's a thunder shield to the left that should make this section a non-issue, if you don't have that then aim for the cockpit rats, if they're gone the electricity won't turn up anymore Or just re-start the level without sinking into the trash pit to go into Wing Fortress and don't have to deal with that

Try going into the door instead of hitting the top of it. You don't even need to use the poles, just jump there. Also, you don't need to time your jumps on the poles, just press the direction you want to go to.
