To be fair, Pokemon has largely been the same game for how long now? It can only be fresh for so long, and from what I've seen its only gotten easier and largely against the same pokemon.

Because ORAS and SM were the first time I honestly felt bored with the series, despite playing the games for almost two decades now. I have zero faith in mainstream Pokemon games anymore. Hopefully we get a new Mystery Dungeon eventually.

B&W was just such a disappointment I never picked up B&W2 because 1, fuck you make a good game the first time, and 2 that shit is jew-y as fuck. Gen 6 was alright but it made me realize Pokemon won't ever have what I want from it.
So I guess because fuck GF's jew-y bullshit and because I haven't enjoyed the series in years.

I'm getting back into it after like 10 years of not playing. Learning all the stuff I missed. Like weather and its effects. Sweepers, walls, and other stuff. Learning it at a leisurely pace though. Playing Emerald on my phone in between work. I'll probably change my team up again in the future.

I normally go full autism mode when I play a new Pokemon game. I exclusively use new Pokemon, and try to catch and raise everything new to at least around level 40. I'm not sure I particularly want to do a dusk form Lycanroc solo run of the new game.

I think they're done with Mega forms. Not a single new one in all of gen 7

I had a better time playing Y than playing Moon, I'm not totally sure why, I think all the cutscenes kind of killed it for me.

I guess. I mean I know I personally am not going to catch em all. I caught them all in Red and most of them in Silver. I'm content. But I guess if you wanted to catch all 750+ pokemon you'd find it annoying to need to find pokemon in a version you don't have.

Both have about the same amount of cutscenes, I think.

Usually they're all available one way or the other in each generation. In Sun and Moon there is no national dex so you don't need to catch 'em all for the first time, you only need to register the 300 available in the game.

Its not really about catching them all more like giving the player a wider selection to build a party
