Honestly this game came at the perfect time.
Overwatch being so fucking competitive and tryhardy, as well slowly dying, and TF2 being in the state it is, all casual shooter fans had nowehre to go.
Not to mention how dead casual shooters are on console.

Then they're also tapping into the, many times burned, 3-D survival game fans, and those who weren't burned over the years just always gladly buy the next big one anyway.
