Or does it?

Atleast it did, before I fucked everythang up.

WAAAAGHHHHH

youtube.com/watch?v=v5JqLwyI70w

What is it good for?

Literally only part of the game that wasn't uninspired, generic repetitive shit.

Of course it does, its war... unless it doesnt.

What is it good for?

serious sam is a good game

This

that

>all that shit they're improving in BFE for Fusion

Bamco and Gearbox would've requested 25$ for this.

Alright, is there any point in keeping installs of TSE HD and the original BFE release?

No. Once you own any SS HD/BFE game on your Steam account, you just need to install SS Fusion 2017 and nothing else.

no

Obviously better

These games had some fucking good OST

As for now, Fusion is still in beta and therefore has quite a lot of bugs like blood being rendered almost black on static geometry, some of the third person animations glitching and enemies reaching Sanic-speed when running around corners.
Some of the mods like BFE Enhanced also don't work with Fusion and would be too much work to port.

I fucking hate this metalcore trash.

youtube.com/watch?v=zmTVn9Y9igg

Just beat TFE on serious difficulty with a billion quick saves, what should I expect for TSE on serious difficulty?

...

the answer is no

Pure, undistilled rape.
TSE was made with crazy traps and unique environmental hazards in mind and tries to fuck you around every corner.

underrated

It is the lifeblood of this world

Mancubus

Spider Mastermind

>removal of ammo crates on Serious
That's fine i play on Mental anyway

I wonder if we'll get the remake of SS2 first or SS4. They said they're remaking SS2 with new assests and everything to work with Fusion.

best serious sam game ever

youtube.com/watch?v=2lhgbwoYZ-c
Is my favorite theme from it.

it was great to see different planets instead of [insert ancient civilization] but the humor was just too childish and Sam looked like shit

...Or maybe yes

>500K $ budget

still amazes me

For actually making a game that's probably average.

It's just that most AAA games which are like hundreds of millions are like 80% advertising funds.

That entire level was amazing, and that theme only made it better.

I did a Serious playthrough of BFE in Fusion recently, though the early levels are still as notorious as ever, the later ones benefited a shit ton from the changes. Its amazing how much they've actually improved on BFE instead of just leaving it as is, I was definitely not expecting this at all.
>all those Scrapjacks that can now lob bombs overhead from a distance so they're a threat even behind objects and cover while you're fighting other enemies

>improved weapons (the single shotgun is now viable as hell)
Oh, well now I really have to give BFE another go.

Are they going to put the secret weapons (like the laser gun) in the levels proper?

You're gonna get fucking raped in the gravity rooms
Kamikaze and Kleer bouncing unpredictably in every single direction at sanic speeds

>giving the enemies additional health on serious
no

i actually like it, it was a bit childish, but it had enough easter eggs, goofy design, and interesting environment's that it kinda hooked me. It was sure more appealing to look at than the barren landscapes of TFE.

Having sunk way too much time into BFE, Fusion has some amazing changes
>Scrapjacks have less health
>bulletproof enemies just take less damage instead of no damage
>enemies get another attack on Serious (and I think hard as well)
>that fucking shotgun
>getting the secret minigun in Silent Riddler isn't playing Russian Roulette with the sandwhale
>the use of lighting and shadows is much better, start of Under the Iron Cloud in particular looks great
>enemies react and open fire almost instantly instead of giving you a few seconds to quickly kill them made the first level of Legend of the Beast absolute hell, though. Fuck that shitty fucking level
>the fucking shotgun
I really hope TFE/TSE will get a similar treatment

What is the deal with the new shotgun? This thread seems to be positive about it wehich means it must've been SERIOUSLY (geddit? ha!) buffed given how horrible shit it is in vanilla SS3.

>tfw 32bit shitter

15 round mag, tight spread and better sounds. Feels much better to use and is actually worth crap in the later levels.

Every cpu in the last decade has had 64bit support.

I found TSE to be a lot easier than TFE for the most part.

Those gravity rooms will sodomize you, though.

What Serious Sam game should I play? I bought the whole collection a while back, is there some sort of order? I'm sorry if this gets asked alot.

youtube.com/watch?v=IASfzAP5Xbc

The First Encounter
The Second Encounter
Serious Sam 3: BFE
You can play all of these on Serious Sam Fusion. Just download Fusion.
Serious Sam 2 can be skipped, but if you really want to play it, play it after BFE. It's really odd.
Double D XXL is worth shot.
Everything else is worthless.

I don't ever want John J Dick to stop being awesome.

croteam always gave their best on the last level.
The entire game is worth just for the last level

soundcloud.com/johnjdick/sam-rant

first encounter is good

second encounter is good, but fuck too many reptilians every 5 steps

serious sam 2 is technically amazing but weird, expect a lot of shitty jokes and dumb kiddy humour that throws most people off and makes it feel like a chinese serious sam romhack

BFE is very similar to first encounter

play them in order, but be aware that 2 may be too cringy for you and you may want to skip it

You will miss great musics and great variety tho

>Everything else is worthless.

except Bogus Detour

>Fuck that shitty fucking level

Thankfully they've already announced that they'll rebalance the entire DLC and even add a weapon from the The Last Hope (hopefully the sword).

I didn't even see Fusion in my library up until now, I'll play the first three on that then, thanks anons. I'm excited!

Apparently I have their other game Hammerwatch, probably from some humble bundle, is it any good?

i loved it with friends

Thank god for that.

>Next Encounter
>worthless

>no "explosives only" enemies anymore
To be fair, they still receive minimal damage from non explosive damage sources, but yes, bringing down the first helicopter boss with just the shotgun was the shit.

On the subject of the helicopter
>can't destroy the one in the mosque because muh time paradox
>after making it possible to legitimately get the secret rocket launcher without using the C4

They should definitely take some hints from BFE Enhanced

>manage to destroy helicopter
>PARADOX SECRET FOUND!
>spawns SS2 T-Rex

That was Extended. Enhanced spawns a portal leading to a yard with Croteam heads and rockets.

The fucker who made Extended, Solais, was the one who justified making the heli invincible.

I don't trust that guy in the slightest.
He might work for Croteam now but there's quite a lot of bullshit he spews.
Like how he claimed that it's impossible to have the modified Witch Bride from Last Hope in BFE and yet there's a mod in the Steam Workshop for it or how the Mental flags won't be in Fusion because they are too performance intensive.
Seriously?
Animated flags are too performance intensive for PCs in 20 fucking 17 ?!
That shit is in the Enhanced and the only issue is that they tend to clip through walls.

I'm just hoping they're keeping him away from level design or at the very least teaching him how to do it proper. HD Extended's custom levels were absolutely terrible (the puzzle in the level after Metropolis still haunts my dreams) and stuff like the locks shouldn't fucking exist.

...

Also, that Witch Bride mod is such a vast improvement, it's borderline essential.
