I just bought and installed Dragon's Dogma for PC.

> What am I in for?

Also, should I install any mods for my first playthrough?

I was thinking in getting Nexus' "Great mod compilation" light edition (it apparently doesn't mess with anything mechanic related).

Any other recommendations? Is there any specially fun build?

>I can't figure shit out for myself: the post

2H sword build is the funnest I had with the game.
If you're playing a melee character use a gamepad.

You don't need mods, just play whoever looks like the most fun.

don't worry too much, the innkeeper has a chest with a bunch of OP DLC items that will make your playthrough easier

any class is fine

Warrior is a shit class, don't actually play it except to level up and get HP.

>increased RC rewards

That's mechanically related and a really dumb change. Just make a non-shit pawn and you'll be rolling in the dough.

Dude, how could I possibly know if the mods are any good?

>Don't play the funnest class in the game
Alright user

You could play the game on vanilla when it's the first time you're playing it and then see what you want to improve for yourself.

Thanks for the tips. I've been looking a bit and I think I'll end up with a Mystic Knight. They are supposed to be a fun class, right?

mild amusement from picking up and throwing people and then regret for having bought such a bland game with a bog standard world and shallow combat system that people laud as "comfy" in the same way they laud oblivion for being uninteresting as shit

or at least that was my experience

Don't worry about min-maxing stats and try out every class.
Don't make both you character and main pawn little girls or you won't be able to carry shit.
The best way to earn discipline points is defeating minor enemies like goblins.
Climb and throw enemies around.

>mild amusement from picking up and throwing people

You mean throwing other people's pawn into water isn't that amusing?

I know right

>shallow combat system
The combat system is deeper than that of your average ARPG.

It's a good game. Much better than Skyrim but with less side missions.

Provably will reinstall soon. Anyone has a character creation guide for a shota? I'm thinking in pairing a cute blonde shota with a buff tall brown elf main pawn

Thanks for the tips

If the game doesn't hook you in due to the relatively slow start try and bear with it as it gets much better once you hit gran soren since most of the world becomes available to adventure in, and you gain access to reclassing for any of the 9 jobs. If you ever do an NG+ run, I'd suggest going offline for the final battle.

All the hybrids are pretty fun classes, for MK in particular learning how to perfect block is kinda important to trigger your enchanted shield effects. MK is also pretty infamous though for raping framerates due to Great Cannon spam.

Warrior is only fun in DDON, relative to the other classes, besides mage, it's pretty fuckin bad in Dark Arisen/Vanilla.

>Don't worry about min-maxing stats

Sure, have fun doing shit for damage.

Inb4
>getting BBI gear offsets it

Have fun farming BBI gear with shit damage.

>Warrior is only fun in DDON
Speak for yourself min max autist

>the class gets more fun if you don't minmax

It doesn't. Ever seen anyone beating UR-Dragon as warrior?

>min/max
Warriors' problems in the original are its mechanics, nothing about its stats

>fun build
Assassin is the only build

look for a mod called "dont blind me" on nexus
thats it, just play the game
take it slow

Is there a mod for this game where you can hotkey items with your controller like you can with your keyboard?

cuck
>hur dur a vacation must be able to deal with every for
fuck off.pvp games might suit you more

Ranger is OP though

I bet you like warrior because le guts big sword.
Good luck playing your shitty class.

no
but you can just use both so why bother

t.edgy assasin

At least assassin can use more than 3 skills at once and doesn't take a billion years to charge attacks kek

bring throwblast, and the dragon weapons are enough for bbi, and they are piss easy to get

>No mod to restore INTO FREE back to the boss fight.
