I'm probably getting it. Not expecting much from the gameplay changes but Ptolemaic Egypt seems interesting enough as a setting. Although I would have preferred actual Ancient Egypt.

The artstyle and faces feel quite alien, basically in an uncanny valley. I'm reminded of that forge of empires commercial with the cartoon models, honestly. It's quite off-putting and looks pretty ugly given Assassins Creed's history of (at least) passable realism in terms of art and characters.

What the fuck happened to the skill they showed in Unity? It's one of the best looking games made to date. Is the hardware really such a problemt hat they can't fix the framerate issues and have to resort to downgrades to this extent.

Granted, it doesn't look as bad as the Syndicate downgrade, but still.

I hate ubisoft so much. I have been waiting for a story driven game set at the time period of the end of the roman republic for at least 10 years now. WHY on earth does it have to be a shitty asscreed game made by god damn ubisoft? I will have to play it for the setting alone but I already know that I will be so disapointed by everything. It looks pretty great so far, only problems I have with it right now are the wonky facial animations and shitty camera angles in conversations ala Andromeda.
