Le coin Jews stole all the good (read as AMD) GPUs.
I'm on a tight budget, will this do?
pcpartpicker.com
yes, that's a great budget build, however I would replace the 1 x 8gb ram for 2 x 4gb for better performence
Yeah the 1070 prices are still high on some sites, hence why it's showing as 1000+ $, one could probably get it for around 500-700CDN now if i had to guess
>Made the mistake of posting this while the half life shit is going on
fuck.
I am the retard trying to build 1st PC and got showed this like a few hours ago. rip.
g4560 isn't bad for a budget build, but why they paired it with a fucking 1070 is beyond me.
I'm building a "budget" pc whenever i get my refund check, gonna go with a ryzen 3 and 1050 ti until i can upgrade to a 1600x and 1060 a few months down the line. Just gonna get the basics, I'll add a ssd and more ram after i upgrade my cpu and gpu
pic is my build
the g4560+1050ti/570 is an optimal budget gaming machine
unless you can get a ryzen 3 cheaper
Bullshit. The mobo only has 2 slots for the RAMs so if in the future he needs to upgrade he would have to buy 2x8 GB instead of only one.
>intel in a budget build
>2 cores in 2017
>gtx 1070
Fair enough, though 2 x 4gb does get better performance
Just upgraded my shit from parts from 2008.
MSI 970A mobo
FX-8370 chip
GTX 1060 3GB OC'd
8GB DDR3-16000
500gig SSD
Ran me about 500 bucks. Running everything on Ultra now, shit looks cash money. Now to abuse the fuck out of this shit for a decade. Maybe another 8 gigs of ram on my next paycheck, the ram was going for like 60 bucks for 8 gigs.
all the good journalists post on Sup Forums and Sup Forums now and instead of covering pc gaming they cover the shady business practices of megatech, and donald trump happenings.
>275gb SSD and no normal hard drive
>1070
""""""""budget""""""""
Why not a fucking i3/5 and a 1060? Or are prices for that too inflated?
...
That cpu won't last you a decade it's already 5 years old with worse perf than 2010 phenoms. You should have bought a ryzen.
t. fell for the fx cpu meme
Wouldn't R5 1600 + GTX 1060 6gb be better? Or even an R3 1200/1300x + 1070
I had a Phenom II X3 2.4ghz anything was an upgrade, and the 8370 was balls cheap. If that one only lasts 5 years I'm okay.
Oh and also I have that same motherboard, it has garbage vrms so I hope you don't intend to overclock at any point.
I personally hate micro motherboards.
The chip OC's from 4.0ghz to 4.3, I wasn't planning on it. It's not really that big of a performance boost for the extra strain on the parts.
All things considered too, it ran me like 540 after tax and shit, and I upgraded from;
Biostar TA790 AM2+ mobo
Phenom II X3 2.4ghz
GTX 260 Super OC 1gb
Segate Blue 500gb hd (now is extra storage with new parts)
4GB DDR2
I put that setup together back in 2008, and it's served me till last week when I got the new shit.
It should be fine but you'll definitely notice the bad fps in cpu heavy stuff.
Also also, the difference between the 8370 avs a Ryzen 5 1400 was much bigger when running the 1080, but with the 1060 it's barely noticeable, for about 100 dollars less.
>pentium
Fucking stupid. Get a low end Ryzen at that price or go used.
>1070
Massive bottleneck with that Pentium, rather go for a 480 or 1060 depending on your brand loyalty, goyim.
>SSD
Waste of money. Go for a normal 1tb WD, Hitachi or Toshiba drive.
>case
It's alright but you can get an okay case for 15 bucks less.
>assrawk b250m
I don't know about that.
>GSkill "GAMER" ram
pointless, waste of money. Always go for the cheapest RAM at a decent speed.
>some budget PSU
Seems okay but you might want to go higher for a build like that.
I've been playing Fallout4 on Ultra 1080 and there was some rain when I was in a fire-fight vs like 15 enemies (Super Mutans Vs Raiders vs Institute vs me) that yeah I dropped to like 25fps at one point, I saw. Typically the game stays at like 53-60fps. The rain really fucked it up.
However Nier Automata I haven't seen drop below 40fps.
Ryzen is more expensive, even the cheapest.
there is no budget pc gaming. you shouldnt be in pc gaming if you cant afford a good rig.
>WHAT THE FUCK BRO MY 2GB 580 CANT RUN ANYTHING
But the Pentium is 5 years old and dual core. It's 2017 folks come on.
Whoopse, not sure why it didn't attach before.
>pentium with 1070
what the fuck
>>SSD
>Waste of money.
Stopped reading right there. Don't ever give "advice" to anyone.
It is a waste of money if you intend to go budget. If you have money to spend on your fast 0.80$ per gig shit then go right ahead but it's a waste of money if you intend to save it.
Holy shit, what's the deal with that 2core pentium?
if you're going for a "budget" build, SSDs aren't priority, and a 1TB HDD is better for storing more games, 7200rpm is also faster than most modern consoles hard drives
You might aswell use that for at least a year then upgrade to zen2 and volta 1160
The 1060 really doesn't require a lot out of the CPU, hence why I made the choices I made.
Probably on a non cpu intensive game
Something like bf1 the 2500k will run away
Hybberthreddin :D
What the ever living fuck is wrong with you people. I have like 7 games installed on my computer currently and I have 250 GB still available of my half-TB SSD. I mean do you keep like fucking 15 games installed at all times?
1050ti is fucking great, dont worry
Enjoy your stuttering corelet.
>I mean do you keep like fucking 15 games installed at all times?
Yes. I have about 30 games installed at this moment, granted a lot of them are older titles.
t. i don't know anything about computers
maybe it was generated
it really doesn't look like something someone put together even half-wittedly
Fuck outta here man. That's stupid AF. If I haven't played it in like two months, there's no reason for it to be on my computer.
I get stutters on a 6500, you need at least a 6600k
tbf it is a waste of money for a budget build, especially if you've never used one so you wouldnt know what you're missing. Just save up some money for a few months and then add a ssd
>t. intel shill
>want to play game again
>oops gotta wait 5 hours for it to download
But I'm not retarded enough to buy a SSD and my gigabytes cost about $0.06 and I have 350 gigs to spare.
I mean in general, christ. Even on my old system of non SSD I still only had 500gb and I never fucking filled it once.
Still better experience than a fucking Fx or pentium
2500k 4.8 here it runs smooth locked to 75fps, uncapped it stutters
6600k is not much faster than a 2500k
Like maybe 15% faster at the same clocks, and they both clock to near 5ghz
G4560 probably works just like the old i5, most games requires 4 threads and not 4 real cores
G4560+GTX1070 is the perfect budget build. It has no trouble with 4k gaming.
I might. This is my first build so i'm a noob at this stuff. I don't necessarily care about running every game on ultra at 60 fps cuz I've mostly been a console peasant until just a few years ago when I made the retarded decision to buy a prebuilt "gaming" pc. Pic related if you want to laugh at my ignorance.
Will the 1200 and 1050 ti be able to run most games at medium settings at 30+ fps for the foreseeable future?
With the size of games nowadays you can easily have a 60gb+ game which will take up a quarter of your SSD, large HDDs are pretty much necessary.
>pic related. my HDD games folder
Enjoy your bottleneck
Pairing a G4560 with a GTX1070 is still stupid, for 4k the GPU is the bottleneck and not the CPU
Can I get decent opinions on this?
My friend is giving me his since he just built his own PC and I'm not the best with these sort of things. Can I put a 1060/70/80 in this, and more importantly, will it run Minecraft?
I have ADD when it comes to gaming. I'm constantly switching from one game to the next. Then i have a bunch of games installed that I haven't finished and i feel obligated to keep them installed until i complete them.
I also have a lot of porn.
Is there a site that can check builds for bottleneck?
>Can I put a (graphics card) in this
If it's a desktop pc the answer is always yes, if it's a laptop the answer is always no. So yes, yes you can.
>Will it run minecraft
You need SLI titanXPs to run minecraft sorry
Congrats faggot, you're normal. Go update your facebook.
I will while I stream some Dragon Ball Super and play Clash Royale. :3
1: more then likely, yes, 1060/70/80 draw about as much power as a 770 IIRC
2: yes
If you CPU is much weaker or stronger than your GPU you will have a bottleneck
>7700 bottlenecking 1070 at 1440p
No
>2500k 4.8 here
Do you live in Antarctica?
Yeah, I know the definition, but measure of that "much" is vague.
I used to years ago, but then you rarely get round to playing anything. I went full autist and almost bought a 4tb HDD just so I could install my entire steam library.
Nowadays I only keep 5~ games installed. No point keeping a game installed because its good and you might play/replay it in a year or two
>not just browsing craigslist for a gaming rig some poorfag overspent on and needs to sell just to live
there are so many stupid kids who overspend on rigs and then need to sell them fast, at a major loss, to make due. take advantage of their stupidity, you're doing them a favor by teaching them a lesson in fiscal responsibility.
>1000 maplebucks
>bought the same GPU for 600 kiwibucks
what the fuck? I thought GPUs were expensive here.
Ryzen 1200 and 1050ti is fine for 1080p 60fps on medium/high on latest games easily.
If you do choose to go zen2 + 1160 (which will probably be around 1080 perf) you'll be able to max everything that comes out next year
Consider MSI 1050ti gaming x
a budget pc setup shouldn't have/need a monitor beyond 1080p, it's stupid go higher than 1060 6gb
a 1070 starts being worth it at 1440p
UK, its been at that speed since I got it in 2011 I just replace the thermal paste once every year.
Sandybridge doesnt use toothpaste like recent Intel cpus.
How how does it get?
it depends on the game. aside from obvious mismatches there is no way to determine this in a vacuum
about 65c max on air under 100% load in games like bf1/civilization 6, using hyper 212
What about stress tests?
Get 1x 8gb ram or a motherboard with more slots in case you need more ram
The one you picked only has 2 ram slots
That mother board seems expensive anyway. You can get better motherboards for 80-90$
not sure my man I dont run anything more stressful than gayming
sandybridge is known to be pretty cool though compared to ivybridge and forward, check some online benchmarks
>getting 1x ram
>ever
shut the fuck up
>a 1070 is $1070
LOVIN EVERY LAUGH
Craigslist can have some crazy deals. Here's one from my area going for $525
Specs:
>LPX Vengeance 16GB @3000MHz RAM KIT
>GTX 1060 6GB VR-Ready GPU
>MSI SLI PLUS X370 Motherboard
>Ryzen 5 1600 @3.7GHz
>EVGA 600w 80+ PSU
>120GB SSD
>1 TB HDD
>BRAND NEW BUILD
Some guy was selling an i7 7700k with 32 gb RAM and TWO 1080 ti's for just $1,000 a few months back. Apparently he was a pro csgo player and was moving into a team house that provided every team member a pc so he wanted to just get rid of his rig asap. Wish i would have had the money to buy it at the time. Could have sold one of the 1080's and paid basically next to nothing for it.
you can also get a mugging and a stab wound for free
what a deal
>Large HDDs are pretty much a necessity
Fuck load times. SSD is so much better, even if you only have 500GB it's so worth it to not deal with waiting.
>G4560 paired with a 1070
There's no fucking way that wasn't done for shits and giggles.
>buying this pc for
what for?
literally im wondering why are you spending money to buy 1070
list 5 games for me
>2nd hand parts
no thanks. only time I got a 2nd hand was my 980 and that's because it was free
Make sure to get the geek squad technical experts to wire it for you otherwise you could be electrocuted when you open the box.
"safety of mind has no price" is my motto.
2nd hand gpus are worth it with the current state of the market
970 will easily do 1080p comfortably until volta/navi for cheap
what?
But what if it doesn't bottleneck?
I'm new to building pcs so I just picked a random mobo with wifi that was compatible. I've heard bad things about only one stick of ram though but noone's actually ever explained why. I may just go 2x8
>2x8
That'll cost you an extra 40$, and 8gb 2x4 should be enough
One ram stick is bad because there's the chance of your ram going bad and then you're fucked and can't do anything until you get new ram whereas with two sticks if one goes bad you can still use the pc with the other good stick.
Name 5 recent games here the Pentium won't choke before the 1070 does.
