It's fucking garbage. Terrible gameplay, awful characters, embarrassing story, and bland ost. It's worth $4 max and you'll still feel like you want those $4 back.

Also most of the DLC is pretty garbage unless you're interested in banter with the sisters.
Two's is only one that helps explain some back story that's only hinted at in the main game.

I'd say no. It was very bland. Outside of some tracks and Accord's cutscenes there's nothing good.

"Numbered" DLCs are mandatory and, along with prequel stories from the official website, contain half of this game's story.

Overall, the best dialogues Taro has ever written and definitely the best jokes he's ever written. Shit's hysterical. Gameplay is pure junk though. Also, don't expect too much sense from the story. Part of the whole point of this game is "I, myself, don't know what I've meant by this game. It's a game about slaughtering gazillion dudes, how the fuck is it expected to be taken seriously, this shit's absurd, fuck off, go and search for your deeper meanings somewhere else."

It's a really bad game, but it's playable. $10 is fine. I don't recommend buying any of the story dlc. A friend talked me into buying it all, but it all sucked. If you really want to get to know maybe a little bit more about the characters you're better off reading up on them than playing the dlc. Or just watch that stuff on youtube.

Actually, I would really recommend just watching the entire thing on youtube. Everything not writing, voice-acting and music related is just pure crap.

Three's rant in the end of her DLC (it's activated when you leave just a sliver of HP on the last of two bosses, but DON'T kill the boss off - and yes, this is an obvious and deliberate trolling) is just outright epic.

No. Story is decent. Probably Taros weakest game. Gameplay and technical issues make it nearly unplayable, though. No joke, I'm surprised it came out in that state.

I had fun with D3 except for the fact that Dummy absolutely rapes the framerate whenever you summon him to do shit, like it was bad but it goes from 19 FPS to 4. The game isn't anything special but I don't regret buying it.

8-4 is a shitty localization company that butchers everything they touch.

Drakengard 1 was one of the best dark fantasy storylines and it still holds up. Gameplay was dynasty warriors lite and it wasn't perfect, but man, there's still some moments in the game that hold up. Drakengard 3 is waifu pandering with absolute abysmal writing. Honestly have no fucking clue what drugs Taro was on writing that script.

It's shallow incoherent mess.

It's an absurdist comedy. It's supposed to be absolutely nonsensical, like, "Man, I know that feel, I don't understand jack shit either, and I wrote that game" kind of style - and it's ultimately about people who just don't fucking understand each other - not that they make attempt to, which makes the end results not all that surprising either. It's intentional farce, that knows perfectly well, that it's farce. I mean, hell, as if those bossfights, devolving into LASER SHOWS AND FIREWORKS with shizophrenic chants on supermode activation weren't a BIG GIVEAWAY. Like, "How the hell could anyone think that regarding something THIS over the top anywhere NEAR seriously, would be a good idea?".

Anyway, I, personally, regard Drakengard 3 just as a big protracted DLC to NieR + Grimoire NieR (which, as a whole, I regard as Taro's Magnum Opus), and, well, I just judge it accordingly. As least, it's quite fucking inventive and entertaining, and doesn't consist purely of copypasta from the first NieR, as a certain Automata does. And YES, D3's humor, both verbal and non-verbal, is VERY much my cup of tea.
