Why are there so few drill sergeants in video games?

Why are there so few drill sergeants in video games?
Why do they in video games sound non-threatening, fake and like they're doing a bad impression of Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann from Full Metal Jacket?

johnson is more apone from aliens

Because you have to actually be there.

They get about 3 or 4 hours of sleep and are still balls to the wall. You don't have to worry about inspections, marching, drills,PT,tests etc.

No game could simulate having a God damn chair thrown at me in Great Lakes.

They are professional voice actors. They are the biggest bitches on the planet.

this

just having some digital nigger in a campaign hat yell at you through your headphones isnt going to convince anyone

>drill sergeant
>pic is of a drill instructor

>guy on the left with no shower shoes

It's time for bulkhead/line for the rest of the platoon until he finds them then!

Foot's in bandages

I heard the Marines got PC recently because recruits keep getting their poor feewings hurt. Is that true.

MoH Pacific Assault has pretty much you covered in that area - doing that again would be boring

looks like he's on limited light duty or whatever the marine equivalent is.

...

>Tfw in Marines currently

>we had a talk about transgenders and women and how they need their own special treatment

CORPORAL SHEPHERD HUH?

...

youtube.com/watch?v=rLB_Ma8WoWk

I think they got cards they can hold out if they're under excessive social stress
Also, edge of the hat at closest, no physical contact, no direct insults or swearing

Don't be suprised if they 'overlook' a few of those ruled

40 men getting the utter dogshit smoked out of them on a concrete floor for 6 hours, butt ass naked after a shower drill, while 3 other grown men walk around yelling at them about how fucking worthless they are as human beings and that they should regret that their mothers didn't swallow them, because 1 guy didn't shower in under 30 seconds.

It's not something a video game can replicate.

Yeah, this is what I was talking about. Newer generations of recruits bitching to their CO about everything.

youtube.com/watch?v=-LksYTLJpVE

I heard they mostly ignore those rules with all men groups and nobody has the nuts to complain anyways.

Video games are mostly about power fantasies and real life interaction with drill sergeants is the complete opposite of that.

Because people will get their feelings hurt :'(

theyre going to get their poor bodies killed and maimed if they arent prepared for stressful situations and the realities of war
its fucked up people can even make those changes

That "no physical contact" law has been around since the 80's. But "baaaw don't cuss at me" is retarded.

youtube.com/watch?v=Bkt1vAX0MRM

Unless you've actually been to boot camp you'll never know what it's like.

Nostalgic.

The best drill sarge ever.

You see, faggot. That's a fucking DI, a DRILL INSTRUCTOR, not some faggot ass Army Drill Seargent. Get it right. Don't EVER besmirch my beloved Marine Corps. Piece of shit.

I imagine the bullets fired from the guys on the right must be so much more effective than the guys on the left.

Hey Marine user, is this true:

>"no physical contact" law
Is it taken seriously?
We have this law in my country too, but it turns out there's plenty of ways to punch someone without leaving bruises and our sergeant seemed to know them all.
I'm from Russia, if you couldn't guess

Americans are embarrassing

>Drill instructor got chewed out by his superiors for calling one of the transdudes a faggot

yes it's true user

>MPs
>doing anything other than hiding in the tree line pulling people over on post for going .0000001 miles an hour over the speed limit

Gay acceptance was a mistake.

>Americans are embarrassing

Not as embarrassing as having your country ruled by muslims and being in constant fear of the next terrorist attack.

I just came back from the shooting range. You know why I can do that? Because I'm fucking free. So suck my big red white and blue shaft you fucking lime.

Not American here. What is even the point of this? Why demotivate and shit on people who willingly joined the army to protect their country? Seems counterproductive and pointless. Is this by design or are those drill guys just assholes that nobody can do anything about?

I reiterate: Americans are embarrassing.

>tfw drill Sgt gets pissed and yell out the guy before you
>tfw your next not knowing if its your turn
>Cpt´n walks into the barrack

I'm gonna fuck your girl when the taliban shoots your dick off, crayon eater

I'd assume the idea is to instill discipline. Really it's only needed if you've got a bunch of shits you need to get into line.

To simulate stress and fatigue that you will experience in a war zone?

If you cry from having being yelled at then imagine how you'll react to your friend getting blown to pieces.

At one point the transgender dude needed a timeout to "dilate" and got excused during intense physical training.

...

DIs are a miracle of the universe

if it's really like in the movies then that's a bad way of instill discipline

this makes kinda sense

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU BOYS THINK THAT THIS IS ? FUCKING FAIRY LAND ? PULLING ON YOUR WEEWEES LIKE A PACK OF FUCKING FRUITS ?

if they break from just that, then they are useless in real combat
also to instill dicipline on any lazy fucktard that just think they can fuck around

> sergeants
> threatening

It's a shit rank.

Discipline. A soldier exists to complete orders from his superiors as quickly and efficiently and possible. Also builds up resistance to fatigue in ability to act in stressful conditions.
Also it builds a sense of camaraderie among the soldiers, since if someone fucks up everyone gets punished.
I'm not American, just someone who served in the army.

>Best drill sarge
>Not jamjars
You dun goof'ed famalam
youtube.com/watch?v=ZoNwvwK6vHI

Someone make a webm of the MoH Pacific Assault DI

You know which one I mean

...

>Why demotivate and shit on people who willingly joined the army to protect their country?

It's to make you into a disciplined and team oriented individual. If you think you should get golden blowjobs for signing up to join the military and get all butthurt all of a sudden when a scary black guy with a funny hat calls you names, you should reconsider why you signed up.

If you can't handle being called a fuckface when you make a mistake, you won't be able to handle bullets whizzing by you or the stress of military life, let alone a PT run.

That being said, it's in my opinion that striking recruits/privates in bootcamp is counterproductive and there are more effective ways to correct one's behavior that does not involve hitting them. At the same time, I think you shouldn't cry when you get gutpunched for sleeping on fire watch.

Not being able to zero your rifle shouldn't result in a PT smoking session and yelling until you get it right but unfortunately, this is a reality.

...

They're the funniest guys I have been around.

My RDCs were funny af when we were hitting graduation. You really come to respect those guys

...

>american drill instructors
what a fucking joke
THIS is how you train men
youtube.com/watch?v=M0w2C9HWuUQ

They'd have to get an actual drill sergeant for it to sound good. The actor for Hartmann was a actual drill sergeant. He didn't even need to act.

>Is this by design or are those drill guys just assholes that nobody can do anything about?

It's suppose to be stressful by design. You are being groomed to react a certain way under extreme stress, but civilian oversight of the Army is trying to break that design.

As the Army continues to get more soft on how new recruits can be treated, the quality of new privates we receive drops.

New privates do things I would have never dreamed of doing when I was a private, talking back to team leaders, squad leaders and platoon sergeants, not saluting officers, standing around playing on their phones when there is work to be done.

t. buttmad chair force faggot

What people think being a drill sergeant is about
>yelling at people
What being a drill sergeant is actually about
>sending the entire unit out on an all-day hike and using the time to move all their bunks, lockers, trunks, and cupboards out onto the parade ground set up in perfect order as if they were still inside the barracks

>3 or 4 hours of sleep
Thats just asking for trouble, how do these people know what day it is.

That'll be why Russia has such a high amount of deserters and the lowest troop morale of any army.

>dipshit next to you magdumps harmlessly over hajji's head as he shoots a rocket at you both

Funny, it's the first time I see a nigger writing anything else than "muh dick" and yet, the message is the same.

Is boot camp actually like it is in the movies?
I want to hear more stories.

It's literally filtering.

When I was in ((european)) Police Academy, the first 4 months were a hell time, more cardio than an Ethiopian could survive with the instructors telling you every moment, especially at your weakest with your face on the ground that you are not Police material and that nobody wants you there and that you should quit.

The goal is to only keep those who actually want to be there and don't quit.

Those aren't professional sergeants, just senior conscripts who did that during wilder years after USSR's fall. Nowadays stuff like that gets you into real deep shit. There was a guy during my service who tried stuff like that and he got 4 years.

How does one become a drill instructor? Not just land the job, but physically become one, dictionary full of insults and all.

Do they choose the loudest motherfuckers in the corps and make them take courses in advanced swearing?

Thats just dumb and is nothing more than a couple of drunk Lance Corporal equivalents hazing the boots. Also why the ruskies have such shit morale and desert in droves.
youtu.be/6y-RSdUgbVk?t=1m17s

Shit ton of caffeine.

Those guys were arrested.

What game are these from?

>MTI's routinely recycle flights in the 8th week to meet demand for low-desirability jobs
>Happened to over half of the people I know in the AF after I left

Man I'm fucking proud of my ELS; what a crock of shit.

Vietcong.
It's the tutorial level.

...

>flip-flops

What is this, a holiday camp?

>have two diffrent sergeants
>comfy Sgt and Fuck me up Sgt
>comfy sgt: if you guys do this quick, i´ll let you rest for an 30min before lunch
>Fuck me up Sgt: ARE YOU FUCKERS TIRED!? IF YOU CAN COMPLAIN YOU STILL HAVE LIFE IN YOU!!! LAST GROUP TO MAKE IT TO POINT B AND BACK WILL DO 100 PUSHUPS BEFORE YOU GET ANY LUNCH, AND I I DONT CARE IF YOU DONT GET ANY LUNCH AT ALL, SO MOVEMOVEMOVE!

It's a lot less fun when it's happening to you, pretty terrifying actually, but in retrospect, like a few months after you're done with it, you have find memories of it and all the abuse you took

just a bunch of pussies from america's army, or marines, who knows ? nobody cares about these meatsacks

I wonder if they switch the personalities when the next batch of recruits comes in. Good cop - bad cop style.

In the AF at least, it's a special duty that you have to do after so many years of service, it's either that or recruiter or other oddball jobs. The big wigs choose people at random to become loud, not ones that are loud already, it's a lot more of a learned thing than most people think

>Corporal Shepard?
>Looks more like Corporal Dogmeat to me!

No.
I wish it was, but because of PC rules, you'd think it got easier right?
Some of the instructors are getting very, very clever with their punishments. They know how to really compress your soul into nothing.

>now I have to kill you cause you're inside me

>tfw the HECU was a fictional unit

Or is it

You learn the shit from your instructors, who learned it form their instructors, and so on.

If this man could be a drill instructor, then anyone can.

>Doctor Freeman, I'm SGT.

>War, long periods of excessive stress
>Can't let training prepare them for it

every single DI, DS, MTI, whatever not only went through basic themselves, but went to a training course to become an instructor where they were treated like recruits again. it provides psychological insight into how people are affected.
every angry face who is worth a shit at his or her job actually cares about preparing recruits for a successful military career

>YOU ARE OUT OF UNIFORM, SOLDIER! WHERE IS YOUR POWER ARMOR?!

Why coddle people who could well be thrown into situations that demand that they be able to cope with extreme stress?

Or is that too bigoted for you? Waaaah, waaaaaaah.

Uh...me not have.

Kind of, it's not as harsh as it use to be. It's actually pretty fucking dumb when you look back on it after but it's stressful when you are there.

You do a lot of dumb shit that won't really make sense to you until later in your career, and then you will do a lot of dumb shit that will never make sense ever.

When we did our STXs one of our drill sergeants blew up a rattlesnake with an M80, then he made us all strip into our underwear, paint our bodies with warpaint and do an Indian rain dance for 9 hours around the carcass because the ammo guys fucked up and we didn't have any ammo for the first day. 6 people passed out because it was 105 fucking degrees out in south Georgia humidity.
