>Full 3D stages >Only one gameplay style, just high speed platforming action and getting to the goal ring >Story takes a backseat so the gameplay:cutscene ratio is much better and the level motifs flourish as they aren't restricted by a coherent narrative >Gorgeously rich and vidid art direction and a fantastic soundtrack, both of these aspects are still the best in the series
Yeah it is still a flawed game. The fact that you have to play it with every team to get the real ending sucks and the boss battles except Egg Emperor are lousy and so is the PS2 port. But it's still better than the Adventure games and is the best non-boost 3D Sonic game. The good mostly manages to outweigh the bad.
>Gorgeously rich and vidid art direction come on man, also the gameplay isn't fun
Colton Scott
I looked around in it with free camera. Before that I always thought this room had a central skeleton with many arms, but it turned out that wasn't the case.

>not egg fleet It's objectively the best level

Whenever I ask people what makes Sonic Heroes bad on a single playthrough basis their only argument is "durr controls too slippery". Having to do four playthroughs for the final boss is admittedly dumb, but if you just do one Team Sonic/Dark playthrough it's a good game.
Nathan Carter
>slippery physics >good >bad character design >good >forced to play as all three characters at one time >good >bulletsponge >good Eat shit
Christopher Thomas
People like to exaggerate about the controls and while they aren't ideal they really aren't that bad either. They shouldn't take as much getting used to as some people say.

Heroes has my favourite stage music out of every sonic game as well. youtu.be/sGB2guFRmuI 2nd would be any version of planet wisp 3rd is angel island act1 from sonic advance.
Aaron Edwards
Even Generation's Planet Wisp act 1?

Team dark is the worst team next to chaotix and the combat is garbage with all those enemies they throw at you and so are the bosses, the pinball level is also trash
Logan Williams
Yeah I loved that too. Any version is great, cos they all use those 4 iconic notes that made planet wisp sound so good.
The levels are too long and incredibly repetitive, the bosses are all shit, the enemies are just damage sponges and only speed is fun to play while still being much worse than the Sonic Adventure games
It's garbage, I played it on release at a time I was still basically a Sega fanboy, loved the mega drive games, loved Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, and even I knew that Heroes was a massive step down in quality
Elijah Parker
I never played it. How's the PC version? Any links? please
