Which one is a better intro to its game...

Which one is a better intro to its game? IMO these are the two best segments of any MGS game at all barring maybe the fight with The End.

>Everything about the game itself being great
MGS2

>Everything about the trailers being great
GZ + MGSV

2's cause no one saw it coming.
The twist in MGSV's people saw coming years in advance.

The intro to MGS2 is also more akin to the rest of the game gameplay wise.

GZ is a more linear self contained game which TPP aint

I wouldn't have minded the open world in TPP if it had more bigger bases like camp omega

No one is talking about the twists, you stupid faggot.

if you play on PC, the problem is that you can play 2 and then you jump to V. You don't get to know the plot of 3, peace walker and portable ops. The only way to know about it is reading of it online or hearing the audios in V.

This shit kills the fans

MGS2's intro is better because it's at least consistent with the rest of the game, GZ and MGSV's intro are very different from the rest of the game both in gameplay and in story presentation.

Tanker Chapter is the height of the MGS series.

Can somebody explain the tanker meme to me please?

The mission literally takes 5 minutes, all you do is sneak inside of the boat.

I thought it was boring and I actually the liked the big shell better

but you can emulate all those games user

I would love to see a remake of MGS2 that included all the cut content, like the members of dead cell who "died", oldboy and chinaman

PS2 emulation is trash.

>You don't get to know the plot of 3, peace walker and portable ops

those fucking suck anyways

mgs1/2 are the best

>emulating MGS4
RPCS3 is fucking magic, but not that magic, It's a miracle the game ran on PS3 in the first place

Ground Zeroes was better than the entirety of TPP so thats an achievement i guess.

everything about MGS2 is better than MGSGZ/V aside from graphics obviously

No it's not.

Cool thing about RPCS3 is that when it runs MGS4 well, it will run at 60fps because there's no FPS cap in that game, just double buffered vsync.

what are you talking about? The fact that you play as snake not raiden in MGS2's opening is something you totally have to take into consideration you twat.

If you want to argue which self contained segment is better thats different, but which had a better introduction. Then you take these things into account.

OP here, I meant which was better as a self contained segment. You're the retard sorry.

>I fucked up
>youre the retard

nice

Notice that nobody has agreed with you

>filename
Aww shit, I got that reference.

I agree with him in every way, you're actually dumb.

>thread about two specific levels in MGS
>people end up arguing about twists and the games not being on PC
Classic MGS thread, all it needs is a theory about how Death Stranding is Chapter 3 of V and somebody who's only played Rising

Tanker was the best opening to any game period.

>This shit kills the fans

Fans don't skip 2 fucking games. No one cares about portable ops.

Literally what the fuck is your point? OP asked which intro, between 2/V was better? Both were nighttime infiltrations whilst rain pelted down.

I'd say that the Tanker Chapter is the better intro of the two. That shit got people hyped like you wouldn't believe.

you cannot follow a series if it doesn't release the whole saga for every platform they aim. How can you review a series if you don't have the whole experience? there is a reason why resident evil is more popular than MG. They launched for every platform they could, even late like 0 and REMAKE.

no that would be your PC.
