>and here's my virginity
At GFs place right now. Joke's on you.
Really nice my dude. A collection of quality titles among a variety of platforms. You definitely love video games and that alone puts you above most everyone here.
How was the Wii U's library compared to other consoles you own?
Is that croc for sega saturn?
it's almost 4am here and I'm curious, not trying to insult you. Do you live on your own? Do you get the "oh you play the computer huh?" when folk see it?
duuudeee
crocccccc
>Ys fan
I'm so sorry for your loss.
What's up? Did Lacrimosa of Dana turn out terrible?
You'll never know the pain, of the controls
the controls
I hear the echos in the night
When I sleep I hear them scream
"yeaow!"
"Squash!"
Not that good. Xenoblade X and Bayonetta 2 were the standout titles for me.
I dont get it
The game itself is great, but >NISA
I got a review copy, and the translation isn't good, as expected.
At least the PC version will get a patch.
Sure is. I've had that copy since I was 6 years old.
me either... me either
SQUASH
>no yakuza 0 business edition
XD
Can you smoke weed in yakuza?
I do have the business edition. The box, along with most of my collector's edition boxes are kept in a drawer.
>live in an apartment
>have 330+ physical games and they are just piling up on eachother now since there is no more space
Check these dubs
Damn.....well i dont see Kileak for PS1! XD
Climate controlled offsite storage my friend.
If you have extra cash and need to store more than just games.
bad day for you :DDD
Why are u so interested in game storage, friend? :0
>own 50+ physical Vita games
>buy an sd2vita for my separate henkaku system
>literally nothing I want to pirate that I don't already own, or isn't 3.61+
I buyfag'd too hard.
I dont see it
I have over 100 copies of henkaku. Choose one.
I really like the WiiU
If you dont see something in my collection chances are I have a downloaded copy
I'm not, its just that storage units are probably one of oossa's few growth industries. Theres always more shit to store here in burgerland.
And climate controlled is just a bit more expensive but worth it if you need to store valuable collectables. Vinyl, stamps, games you name it.
Sorry for the shitty camera.
...
>that lone copy of Rare Replay for Xbone
pretty much sums up my Xbone library too, though I got Ori physical I guess
Bookshelves 1 and 2.
Bookshelves 3 & 4.
I found an action set nes for $70 at a thrift store and bought it did I do good?
...
pretty sick dude
Shelves 1 & 2.
Damn. Got me beat. Very jelly of your Saturn & PS1 collection especially.
Blurry bookshelves #5.
And shelf #3. That's just most of what is not put away. I have a ton of other stuff.
Yeah, I literally can't think of another XB1 game I want. I have KI on digital and I was gonna get Scalebound, all my other XB1 games are the 360 ports. No point buying 3rd party when it runs better on PS4.
Fuck it.
>This thread
It sucks knowing that I'll have to spend a small fortune on new bookshelves.

>Play Arts
How much did that thing cost?
£35 from Amazon UK
It's like £200 now
Honest question: has anyone else had the experience of really caring about collecting physical media, then had to move ONCE and never wanted to touch physical media again?
I torrent everything but vidya which I use steam for and always have, however I still thought collecting games and movies I really really liked was really cool.
Then I moved out of my parents house and had a lot less space and immediately my love affair for physical media died. I have probably added maybe a dozen blurays and games to my collection in total since this and i still roll my eyes at myself as im about to move again and have like four boxes just filled with smaller boxes with little discs in them. They seem so pointless now.
Funny how fragile romanticism towards certain things you used to be all about can just fade away when your live changes a little
nice ps4 collection, which would you say are the stand out titles?
I think as you grow up you either go further down the rabbit hole or as you said lose the fragile romanticism.
My love for all my games and game consoles dwindled pretty quick when i moved out of home and had to pay rent etc.
I guess you just realise there is more important things in life then collecting things.
I love multiplats. As far as exclusives go, I'd say Yakuza 0 and Persona 5.
...
true, thats the simple answer. But then I wonder whats different about the way people that continue collecting value it in the first place versus people like us
At least you can always sell your collection if it becomes too much. Even if you don't break even you get something in the end and make some other collector happy
exactly my mindset on the matter. It's not like I still don't buy physical over digital games for that very reason, I also don't mind selling my older stuff (sold my n64 last week) because it's not like i'm playing it and I know someone else will have more fun with it then me.
...
is that literally every vita game or something?
It's only 517 Vita games. The Vita library is almost 3x as big and I stopped trying to get the entirety of it due to some games costing around $400 now.
No but I did sell a substantial portion of my collection once and regretted it in the years to come, so I rebuilt it at further expense and I'm glad I did.
user WHERE DO YOU LIVE! I NEED TO, uh I NEED TO TALK ABOUT VIDEOGAMES, YEA JUST TALK. WHAT"S YOUR ADDRESS?
How can the Vita have so many games without a single one I want to own
You're probably just not really looking or are relying on Sup Forums to tell you what to buy or what not to buy.
Everytime I see those online collection websites, that's exactly what I think of. Databases for criminals.
I refuse to pay for a digital "copy" of a game. I especially refuse to pay to digitally rent a game from Steam, which is exactly what happens when you pay for a game on Steam.
Games should only be sold physically with the entire games on the discs, with the ability to copy and paste to another disc or flash drive, and they shouldn't require some shitty "service" like Steam or GOG.
Digital only and games not being on the actual discs you buy them on is the exact reason games are sold unfinished, the reason DLC/microtransactions are a thing, and the reason early access (aka paying to test someone's game when devs used to have to pay to test their game) is a thing.
Steam is the new Blockbuster, but at least when you gave Blockbuster money they told you you were only renting the game.
Fuck Steam and any shitty service like it, and fuck anyone who actually gives them money. Steam and the people who support them are a cancer on PC gaming.
...
protip user, since the inception of software licencing, you've never actually "owned" your games, just the licence to play them and sell them, you can't make copies for financial gain, even if it's on a disc, you don't own it
fug copyright laws am i rite
Collection and collections as a general concept need re-examining by society. Usually, it is not healthy behavior. But it is condoned.
Years ago collectors were rightfully seen as eccentrics, and it was borderline taboo to be one. This is before the age of consumerism when only wealthy people could really be much of a collector.
What is a collection of 1000 video games? It's a huge object in your house you will never really use for what it was intended. You're never going to play all of those games. Instead its use becomes ornamental. You just like having and it looking at it.
"Well, what's wrong with that?" you ask.
What indeed?
1/2
2/2
>ports
>multiplats
>REMASTERS LOL
>all those non exclusives
kys
Is all I currently have not packed in a box. Starting to begin working on my PS1/PS2 collection as well. I have Wild Arms 1-4 coming in the mail and should be here some time next week.
I don't have actual pictures but I have an actual titles list. Still getting ideas what I'm missing so feel free to look around and find missing titles
Part of Nintendo collection. (can post close ups if wanted)
What Vita games cost $400+? I know some of the LRG get up to $200 but those are few and far between.
>greatest hits
>ports
>multiplats
>remasters
what the fuck are you even doing user. cant expect much from a stupid tripshitter
eloquently put
collecting doesn't bother me, but if you buy figurines, you are a moron and a sap
Part of Playstation collection and toys
Ar nosurge+ runs for around that much on eBay.
gib one Last Story
retro games 1/2
b-but it's one of my favourite wii games!
2/2 retro games. and for some reason I don't have pictures of my gamecube/xbox/360/dreamcast and handheld collection
I can't vouch for everyone, but I actually play a high majority of games from my collection and continue to replay games from time to time. likely i'm in the minority when it comes to collecting, but playing is just as great as owning.
if you dont have blacklabel you shouldnt even fucking bother. might as well not own the game if you have a greatest dhits version.
Honestly I'll give you a 6.8/10 or just 7 because you didn't fully trigger me. Your ps3 collection is very poor m8.
>no Street Fighter 2010, Zen Intergalactic Ninja or Werewolf
shit tier NES collection desu fampai
I'm not worried about my PS3 collection at the moment. I'm hunting for PS1/PS2 games along with what I buy for PS4, which this year has been alot.
>Street FIghter 2010 in a box
out-fuckin-skilled!
I don't think I've ever been interested in werewolf or zen, but I own SF2010 complete.
gib Lunar then, you have at least 5, it's not even multiplayer game, you can't play all these copies at once!
I actually played three of them at once so kind of close? Myself, fiance and nephew all did a simultaneous playthrough together of Lunar. Shit was crazy. Have also done it with pokemon red/blue, and Kingdom Hearts and working on KH2 at the moment.
Zen is truly a technological masterpiece on NES, does both 2D and 2.5D, offers fast paced action, parallel scrolling and unique levels. It's only downside is it's pretty short.
Werewolf offers unique atmosphere and a man that can transform into a werewolf. It's possible to beat levels with human, but certain areas demand using wolf. Graphics are great, catchy tunes too. Gets incredibly hard at level 4.
I'll check out Zen as I don't think I've ever played it. However, I definitely remember Werewolf being fucking unforgiving as a platformer... if that's the right game I'm remembering.
>Games are getting ridiculously expensive now
>Want to start collecting but can barely afford to do it let alone feed myself
>People in here with massive rare game collections
>Can only assume people in here have huge sums of extra cash
>Feel like a poor fool and want to end my miserable life seeing these
How do you guys even manage to buy all these games anyways. It's almost impossible to collect extensive collections like these on a low wage income, I mean a complete Lunar 2 with everything in box is over $150 for crying out loud. What are your guys secrets for getting all this stuff, have I just been buying from the wrong places or something? Are all of you from rich families? I NEED TO KNOW HOW IT'S DONE!
Most peoples collections happen over years and years, i've been 'collecting' games since i was a kid.
90% discount or bust
A good portion (at least retro) was just taking care of my childhood games. The PS2 collection started when I got my first job and which started off small and then continued to spend my money on games and stuff. I'm no where close to being rich, but if you take your time and buy a game here and there it stacks up pretty quickly. Also, always be on the look out for kijiji or craigslist.
Forget ps1 games. Just stick to ps2 collecting. Some games are cheap at the moment and others spiking slowly in price. I would recommend selling some of ps4 games that are worthless after a single playthrough or are forgettable after 3 months and use the money for some ps2 games that are hitting the $15-$30+ mark. I spent like $400 just on building an entire og xbox collection from nothing this summer.
I've been collecting games since 2007, I managed to buy most of them for small change, back then I bought Silent Hill for 4$ or Startropics for 2.50$. I bought Lunar 3 years ago, complete and paid 40$ for it. I can't believe it's worth 150 now. Also I was poor back then, games just weren't so expensive and market wasn't saturated with rich hipsters.
This user knows what's up, PS2 and Xbox games are all time low right now, and it won't last forever.
Everyone surrounds themselves with things they find pleasurable. Seeing a wall of awesome every day brings me a lot of pleasure, even when I'm not playing.
