can I pirate this game yet?

How do you guys feel about the redesigned grabtitty suit?

bretty gud

Can't say I prefer it over the classic simple recolor, but I like that they're trying new stuff with the designs here and there. It's pretty neat as it's own thing.

The Other M suit eventually grew on me despite hating it at first, but it looks better in Smash than it did in it's own game/

The concept art for it is 10/10. In game it looks a bit weird but it may be from bigger screen than 3ds so resolution is jank

>MercurySteam
>Above an 80

It really gives me a corruption vibe
I also like the fact it's no longer a simple "Varia in purple" pallets swap

I like the layered look. Gives off a scale/feather vibe which really fits the Chozo.

Do you think they're going to pull a Zero Mission and add a new section to the game?

You huys think it will run on citra? I sold my 3ds last year and I don't really want a get anew one just for this game.

Overdesigned as fuck and Sakamoto just couldn't keep his grubby fingers out of it and gave it high heels

There's already a bunch of new areas sprinkled into the game but if you're talking strictly end game sequences it's possible. Reviewers have been hinting at a final boss that's not the Queen

hella nice

Turns out it's Ridley

Not much you can do with Castlevania desu

Gtfo of here jason

>sells

I disagree about it being overdesigned. It's not like they threw random greebles on it. Also, I think she's wearing the high jump boots, which have always looked like that.

>Reviewers have been hinting at a final boss that's not the Queen
Examples? I'm too lazy to go slogging through reviews myself.

meant for

youtube.com/watch?v=kobIXdeBAs0
youtube.com/watch?v=yhQWJG-_Oco

pretty upset that the model sheet/ingame model fucks up these cool proportions.
its not realistic and i know its overdesigned, but those blue accents and overlacking armor panels... my dick

My one big gripe with the game however, is the fact that there are only two regular bosses in the game. The first easy boss and then the one from gamexplain. Aside from them there are only Metroid-battles and the finale, which I won't spoil. That does leave me a bit disapointed, as the battles that are there are excellent.

Not a chance in hell, this game is going to absolutely dominate the sales charts. It's the first 2D Metroid since Zero Mission and is a game for both fans and newcomers to the series.

It's going to sell, at minimum, 1.5 million units.

How do you think the morph-ball works, fellow anons?

Bird magic.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
>Not a chance in hell, this game is going to absolutely dominate the sales charts. It's the first Star Fox since Command and is a game for both fans and newcomers to the series.
>Not a chance in hell, this game is going to absolutely dominate the sales charts. It's the first Chibi Robo since Park Patrol and is a game for both fans and newcomers to the series.
>Not a chance in hell, this game is going to absolutely dominate the sales charts. It's the first Pikmin since 3 and is a game for both fans and newcomers to the series.

the guy also provided a save file screen shot, so his comment was legit
You only have total 10 energy tank in normal mode, the lowest compared to SM ZM and Fusion.

Most Metroid games don't. iirc only the Prime games and Super broke 1 mil (not sure about Super even, been a while since I checked.) Despite Samus's popularity Nips don't really give a fuck about the games and they're too difficult for modern gamers, so you end up with a niche game on each release. The reason 2D has been neglected is sales. The Metroid fanbase is ultimately a small vocal minority.

I wanna fuck the shit out of the gravity suit. Is that gay?

Do the post game amiibo unlocks require a second scan upon beating the game or will using them in game on a first run make them auto unlock upon completion?

when do the reviews come out?

Nothing wrong with a man getting aroused by amazing hardware.

Don't the evolved Metroids deal a tank of health in damage?

Why don't the Japanese like Metroid?

It helps to do research.

Yeah, if I remembered the treehouse live correctly, one fireball from Zeta can take a whole tank out

Nips aren't big on sci-fi or non-linear games.

Not him but that's incorrect. Metroid sold over 2 million and Metroid II and Fusion sold over a million. Let's try not to revision history, please.

Good question, but ultimately I think the game is just has a lot of Western themes, downright to being inspired by a Western movie franchise. Stuff like being alone on an alien world isn't something Japs are into.

>fucking Hunters broke a million
>Other M not even listed

No idea why in God's name Nintendo would ever trust Sakamoto with another Metroid game but here we are I guess.

Too western for them. Zelda is the same way. It's why they kept turning adult Links into bishies since OoT and Samus into a waifu.

>Zero Mission didn't even break a million
>When it's the second best

>Other M not even listed
neither is Zero mission amigo

I bet it's Ridley on Ceres Space Station.

>Want to buy this game
>My old-ass 3DS has malfunctioning L and R triggers, so I wouldn't even be able to play the game properly

OoT was the manliest Link they ever made though. Koizumi took the original design to his wife and she told him he looked too feminine.

>ZM
>Not the worst "modern" 2D Metroid

It's got the least going for it out of all of them, even Fusion.

>Other M
Metroid: Other M was the third best-selling video game in Japan during its week of release with 45,398 copies sold, ranking it behind Wii Party and Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airu Village.[110] An additional 11,239 copies were sold the following week.[111] It was also the ninth best-selling game in North America during September 2010,[112] with 173,000 copies sold.[113] In the United Kingdom, the game failed to make the top 10 and placed 12th in its first week.[114] In November 2010, Fils-Aime stated that the game is "getting close to half a million" copies sold in the United States, far below Nintendo's expectations.[115]

>Zero Mission
Metroid: Zero Mission was ranked the best-selling Game Boy Advance game in the United States in its debut month of February 2004, selling 151,807 units, and it was the 3rd best-selling game across all video game systems in that month.[29] In May 2004, the game's sales dropped to 7th among Game Boy Advance games, with 31,619 copies sold and $938,681 in revenue.[30] By February 2005, the game had sold over 439,000 units in the United States and 69,000 in Japan.

>OoT was the manliest Link they ever made though. Koizumi took the original design to his wife and she told him he looked too feminine.

I thought it was Aonuma's wife who said to make him maniler?

Two bad games don't sell a million copies, that's not exactly shocking.

lol not even SM sold 1.5 million

Well either way it happened and we got this guy.

>You will never experience this clusterfuck ingame.

Dust blocking? Mine worked after blowing it and some toothpick action

Looks like most effeminate Japanese males protagonist.

Compared to the ones that came after him he's fucking Schwarzenegger.

Until the Super Metroid remake

They're are two possbilities with that

>1:1 remake that pisses off reviewers which causes casuals not to buy it and so its a sales bomb
>Modernized version that's horse shit in every way.

What's the difference between the design for OoT and TP Link?

Please god no.

>95
>when the Metroid fanbase is so autistic
There's plenty of people who will rate it 0 because of AM2R already.
It could be perfect and Metroid fans would still complain

why would super piss off reviewers? it's the second easiest metroid game, and the easiest if you consider ZM on hard mode

A bit overdesigned, but I dig it.

You overestimate game reviewers if you think modern ones would find Super to be easy. They're cry the second they don't instantly know where to go.

I'm probably in the minority thinking the original looks ridiculous with its color scheme, this one looks better

The game literally locks you in certain areas so you can't get lost, a casual play through of Super is literally toddler tier.

Not going to happen, I estimate 78.

>no longer just recoloured varia

Very nice.

>not "can I space pirate this game yet"
missed opportunity

It's why I stopped liking anime. I miss anime like Outlaw Star where characters travel the galaxy meeting other alien species.

...

Hey at least Zero Mission made a profit.

clearly not enough, it was the last 2D game for over a decade

And they picked MercurySteam of all people for the series 2D comeback, Nintendo clearly don't care.

Metroid and Metroid II needed it. We don't need them fucking up Super Metroid.

yup, they've shifted focus to prime in the last decade. That or Sakamoto is in the cuckshed because of other M

Sakamoto wanted to make Other M a 2D Metroid game but Team Ninja wanted to make a 3D game. Sakamoto also stated that he's been wanting to make a 2D Metroid for 4 to 5 years now. So 2D Metroid was never dead.

yeah so he made the idiotic decision to meet halfway and make the game 3D with dpad only movement

*blocks your path*

This is how things work with Tanabe and Sakamoto. They need a team to make a Classic Metroid or Metroid Prime game. If they don't have a team, then we don't get a game. The only reason we're getting a Classic Metroid game along with a Prime game because Sakamoto and Tanabe have a team now. I hope you got that through your thick skull.

yeah, I understand that. what of it

Remember when this was the biggest deal in the Metroid community?

RIP Metroid Dread.

Yes, but that wasn't the point I was making. I was just telling you Zero Mission never put 2D Metroid into a hold. Other M bombing did.

...

>sakamoto did other M instead of this

at least we have a chance of it happening now

Prime 4 was confirmed, it would be stupid not to put this on it.

You stated they put all effort on Prime and that's wrong. Sakamoto and Tanabe just finally got a team, that's all.

I dig it. Definitely looks like an upgrade to the Varia suit, still bulky but its got a sleek streamlined look to it.

It's coming next for the Switch, either in 2019 or 2020.

this is even funnier when you realize he described other M with his desires. You get what you wish for

If SR is a succes you will finally see it on the Switch.

wew is there a follow up after the game released?

Can someone post more concept art from the game?

Sadly, the game will receive an automatic deduction of at least 20 points because of nostalgiafags believing the "2.5D is always bad no matter what" meme.

You can tell those people are just bandwagon nostalgiafags, because they wouldn't be so biased against this kind of art style if they had been around during the 5th gen when 2.5D sidescrollers were actually fairly well-received and considered to be a natural upgrade over 2D sprites.

This game really doesn't look bad at all, especially not when viewing it on the intended small screens of the 3DS with 3D turned on.

...

That used to work years ago, but now it doesn't really work anymore. And I don't want to have to be constantly blowing on the triggers.

I may just try to take the machine itself apart.

When Nu-troid: Fagus Shitburns flops, the fanboi tears will sustain me for weeks, maybe even months. I shall descend upon this board like a wolf upon a lamb, and bask in the unending impotent rage that this board will pump out. I will gaze upon the suicide threads and rage posts, and I don't think my penis will ever be harder than it will as a million Nu-troid apologists cry out in itty bitty white boi penis fury simultaneously.
They'll try to convince themselves it was a rigged. They'll try to convince themselves that Sony had pulled a fast one on them.
"We will boycott!" They will say. "Console war!" "Day of the crash!" they will cry.
Time will pass, and they will do nothing because all they can do is talk. They are too cowardly and weak to do anything
But none of that will balm the pain of knowing that their God Developer, their favorite franchise, will go down in history as an amusing foot note, an embarrassment, as the loud obnoxious DLCfest who lost to the AM2Rdev's first commercial gane, a Dev who the entire nation thought was a literal criminal but still preferred to Nu-troid.
I need to fap.

>This game really doesn't look bad at all
Hmm....

Metroid Dread was a canceled 2D side scrolling game for the NDS. Why would they bring it to the Switch?

>NDS
