Purely mocap tends to be so-so, if only because a bad actor will just fail to do a good performance. If mixed with tweaking from good animators, you get good results.

It is possible to find out by looking at the credits and checking who is credited as a mo-capping. That's probably work but we could find out if they are fucking.
Someone said in one of the witcher panel threads that these two are actually married, which is why they are so comfortable with each other (keeping eye contact and whatnot).
Actually finding out who those two are was kind of easy. Credits list the Motion Capture performers for Witcher 3 as Juliusz Dzienkiewicz, Marek Serafin, Joanna Federowicz-Żurawska, Urszula Kominek.
