I've only played GTAV, my favorite stations are Non Stop Pop, Vinewood Boulevard, Radio LS, and West Coast Classics.

Although there is nothing specifically wrong with those stations, you're really missing out. Pretty much every other main release GTA has better radio in general.

I have most of the other games on steam, except III and VC, so I want to check them out, but I've barely played GTAV because I really only bought it for the online. I really like jamming out to radio tunes in open world games like this though, so I should get through the games.

Whatever the talk ones were in III and Liberty City Stories. Also that TV show in IV about the history of Liberty City was hilarious.

I know this sounds like total autism, but am I the only one who actually loves to listen to GTA radio stations outside of games? I mean, not only songs, but complete with host's commentaries, jingles and stuff. These games really have 11/10 music selection, but somehow it feels even better to listen to them in this way than just to songs by their own. Especially good for cruising with car/bike/on foot

Also is there any program that downloads and randomises the songs, commentaries etc. like they are in later games?

bruh, I have every radio station since GTAIII on my pc. Love listening to that shit, with ads and all.

I think its because its mordern setting you cant cherry pick a bunch of good songs and the licencing would be more costly for a song that came out 2-3 years ago rather than 20+ years ago.

Or mordern music is just garbage. Take your pick.

V-Rock in both Vice City and Vice City stories as well as maybe K-DST or Radio X from SA. The talkback stations were always great though and worth a mention.

I'd say a bit of both. I didn't find a single station in GTA V that I enjoyed, whereas in the older GTA's there was always several I really enjoyed.

I actually did enjoy few GTAV stations, namely Channel X, Los Santos Rock and to lesser extent Vinewood Boulevard(some of the tracks on this one were top tier, but other ones were just meh). Only the last one out of those actually plays modern music, so take what you want from that. And still, they weren't as good as in previous games, but yet I would definitely not agree that V didn't have good music.

Radio Espantoso was just perfectly in tune with Vice City.
