I did and after I beat Zelda it's mostly been collecting dust except for when I boot up Mario Kart for an hour once a week.

I bought it on impulse too and the BotW hype. I didn't think the crazy emulation ppl would get it working so fast. I got MK8 which I played maybe 5 hours and Disgaea5 which I played maybe 10. Waiting on XBC2 I guess...

Because A I can't fucking find one and B there are no games I want to play.

1. It's basically a portable indie machine.
2. The few exclusives it has are either laughable or not my thing.
3. Nintendo is a horrible company who treats their consumers like trash and I refuse to support them.

I only see this thing mentioned here, otherwise, nothing. It's been in stock in my area all summer and scalpers/owners have been selling them off at lower than retail.

I don't need a paperweight or to pretend I like shit games like ARMs to justify my purchase. I'd rather buy a PS4 Pro to play Yakuza 6 at better FRs than buy a Switch with zero interesting games.

Nintendo consoles are always a secondary, non-mandatory purchase for anyone with taste, and there are plenty better games coming out that are better than any game Nintendo has made. No one is really missing out.

Doesn't matter how profitable it is if there are no games. There are only a handful of exclusives, and none of them are even worth bothering with if you already own a Wii-U. All the Switch has is a bunch of ports of 5 year old indie games and an overpriced back catalog of older Nintendo games.

The Switch is going to be completely irrelevant in a year's time and will gather dust just like the Wii-U.

The no games meme is worn out lol Every weeb game release we see selling out on Switch. Dragonball just sold out. ARMS sold 2 million. Splatoon 2 sold hardware itself. Most SALES of Sonic Mania were on Switch, since PCfags pride themselves in being thieves. Mario is coming next month. Xenoblade 2 looks amazing. About four of the indies that were just shown look great. MK8 sold 2.5 million. Switch has the most stable versions of Skyrim and Double Dragon 4, and will have the final version of Yuka Laylee (Thanks for beta testing Sony and PCfags).

So between the Switch, which has the gimmick of playing games, and the PS4 whose gimmick is watching Netflix.. I think the Switch is the better game hardware.

The only games that I would actually buy are already available elsewhere. Even so, there really isn't an advantage to buy it on Switch.

RE4 on Wii had pointer controls, making it stand out among the countless other versions, even now. Wii U versions of games once again stood out by utilizing the GamePad in various ways. But the Switch? Outside of taking the thing with you, it doesn't offer anything new or unique. Besides, the short battery & size makes it feel more like a hindrance than features.
The Joy-Cons (and whatever else the future holds) have potential to create unique gameplay scenarios. But from what it seems, many games will just utilize it as a small, shitty controller. It's convenient though, I'll admit.

I am going to miss out on some great games, I'm sure. But for me, I love learning new and different ways to play something. Shinier, smoother graphics only do so much for me.

Who knows though? I have a feeling Nintendo will experiment with VR and AR on the Switch at some point. And if that happens, the system will definitely have my interest.
