Why Sup Forums doesn't like JRPGs with good gameplay?
Why Sup Forums doesn't like JRPGs with good gameplay?
Only the first one had bearable gameplay since you could just mash through the fights and get to the cute parts fast. Rest are pure fucking aids.
I'm gonna lay down my pride here and admit. Neptunia VII is a really good JRPG.
If IF keeps making Neptunia games as good as this, I'll start rooting for them... maybe.
Tell me about it, they like these garbage games
VII is definetly a good JRPG. Atelier series is also decent, but Sophie was pretty bad. SK it.... okay, SK is reeeeally bad, can't defend that one.
Sup Forums doesn't like anything as far as I can tell. The trick to getting useful information is being able to filter out meme hate and find the valid criticisms.
What game
SK on ps4 is sofar one of the few games i kinda regret getting
then again it was a 2nd hand copy i got for like 15 bucks so, cant complain too much
I would play nep if it wasn't pedo shit, ain't playing no game with 8 year old looking sluts
>pic unrelated
15 bucks for a SK game? I'd be crying lol.
The game the other user linked is Valkyrie Drive. It's as shit as SK. Actually, it's even worse. Stay away .
>dad walks in on me playing Nep VII
>"hey that girl is kinda hot"
>neptune was on screen
Idk how to feel about this
Valkyrie Drive Bihkkhuni
Nep VII was the only nep game I played and I thought it was completely average.
Neptunia VII is actually really good. You guys are just missing it by saying it's bad then you never played it. Well, your loss I guess.
meh i usually dont sell games as im kind of a collector of games as well, but SK on ps4 is the one game im considering selling
should probably just see what CEX give for it or smth
Neptunia has it charme tho
If I absolutely hated mk2 do you think VII would change my mind on the series? Does it still have really annoying sound design?
Never played neptunia, but I really want to be dominated and trampled by that femdom neptunia that people always post.
mk2? like not even RB2? The original Neptunia games were terrible. The remakes are miles better, and VII is miles better than the remakes. It's like jumping from a 4/10 game to a 9/10.
I don't know what you mean by sound design, but the effects are now way better, and for the soundtrack they got Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy composer).
I already played VII. Battle system pales in comparison to Dragon Quarter.
Battle system is good enough. And it's the worst thing about Neptunia. Every other aspect is better than it, so this makes the game good.
>I don't know what you mean by sound design
I mean the sound effects, mostly. Even simple menu navigation felt awful because of the grating noises it would make.
>Nep VII
>9/10
I must have played this game wrong, what was supposed to be good about it? Is it only noticeable after I suffer through the apparently horrendous previous games?
The nepshit cycle.
>shitty nep game comes out.
>they only buy it for the girls and ebin gamer meme humor.
>they deny this to hell and back claiming the game is actually decent.
>next game comes out.
>they admit the last game was shit but claim that this one is actually good.
>rinse and repeat.
Now that I'm looking up gameplay videos for VII, it does seem to have a similar sound design. The menu confirmation sound is just terrible.
I found it really funny, one of the best JRPGs I've played on a long time.
Gonna develop a bit more my last argument. While combat wasn't spettacular, it surely was decent/good. It being fast paced and with cool looking animations also helped. Characters development and interactions were really well done. And the fact that they got Nobuo Uematsu to make an amazing OST and the fact that they somehow made even the story decent are also nice touchs.
Ueamatsu worked on VII?
Proof?
I don't think he did work on VII, but apparently he worked on rebirth3 (and/or victorty 1, for that matter)
>atelier sophie
why did the series have to go to shit
I just don't like yuri games. I'll stick to Nep doujins instead where dicks actually exist.
>good gameplay
lol
The only part I enjoyed was the Combo System and basically making my own movesets. Nothing else really did anything for me.
>shitposting about games you haven't played

This one is written directly by Uematsu, according to vgmdb.net

This one is written by Earthbound Papas, a group founded by Uematsu.
VII gameplay is okay as a timewaster, the battle mechanics are still too unbalanced
Nep VII - Good
Atelier - Good, Sophie was kinda meh, but still decent
Senran Kagura - Dogshit
Any lewd mods for Neptunia VII?
I don't think so, user.
I didn't really like VII, rebirth 1 and 3 felt better to me. I really hate the party splitting parts of rpgs though, neplunker is aids with the terrible handling and hotboxes of nep games, and the exploration system just feels fucking bad. I'd rather have had the autistic grind of the plans from the rebirth series than rng clusterfuck "stare at a wiki to make sure you didn't miss something you had no way of knowing was there".
Combat feels unsatisfying, weapons having limited combo slots forces you into weird trap options where you do less damage because rush skills without an exe are garbage.
For each it's own I guess. I liked VII tons more than the ReBirth games. Being forced to play with all characters added to the variety, making skills and EXEs not that powerful and adding combos and combo slot to weapons made you think if you really want that 200+ STR at the cost of one extra attack. Break gauge is gone, and part breaks was way better. Combat felt way more impactful and animations way better looking.
