What headset would you guys recommend for PC?
I need a new one since mine is falling apart, one that's around the 30-50 dollar price range, and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time (and a microphone, of course.)
Otherwise, headset thread.

...
I tried, but they are fucking stupid weeaboos who jerk off about their own headphones to give help
>headset
End yourself.
Logitech USB K340
First on I've bought was about 10 bucks, lasted fucking 15 years, decent mic and decent stereo quality
then it broke and I bought something else which broke after about 3 years or so
Now i bought the Logitech again, this time for 20 bucks
Im 27
do the math yourself
H340, not K, my bad
I don't think it has to be this big gay gamer headset, but is the sound quality any good?
I think at 30-50 you can do better than decent.
hyper x cloud both variants are good but the cheaper one is the best option unless you're really desperate for the usb dongle and virtual surround (which can be achieved with razer surround anyway for free). been using mine for 3 years no with no issues at all. good budget headset with the best sound quality for $100
for under $100*
I listen to a lot of music. If you buy a gaymen headset, you're a complete fucktard.
after mine broke down I bought some Trust HQ headset crap, it didnt sound nice at all. Probably because I was used to the H340. Both mic and sound are pretty decent for a cheap headset, I've been wearing it for more than 20 years for a reason
I would rather buy a microphone with a stand and use solid headsets, but I travel and move too often to really commit to that. I also use it to talk to my friends a lot.
I use a sony clip on mic with that 7506. works fine.
i have these and they're fucking top tier garbage holy shit.
Or...you play multiplayer games online and don't feel like using a mic independently while raiding with both hands.
Philips Shp9500, big, comfy, openback, great for videogames and listening to music at home. Get a vmoda boom pro next month.
newegg.com
Why would you buy closed headphones?
Fuck that shit has a horrible peek for highs. The are excellent for monitoring video and maybe videogames, but no music. If you want something better around the same price I can recommend the M40x.
if you want a no frills, budget headset that has a good mic and audio quality you could try Hyper X Cloud. 80 bucks
It's what I use. I sometimes get compliments on how clean my mic sounds in-game
The 7506 is way out of my price range though, can't do it.
I used this for work. 10/10 for price/quality.
Holy shit. How old are you.
that shit would destroy my ears. I'd get cauliflower ear
it fucking says it right there in my post
I bought these for $60, they're great.
g430 then
>good mic
Its a good headphone, but the mic sounds like ass.
It's just a rebranded ISK, Takstar headphone you can buy online for half the price anyways.
Is it the core or the stinger version?
They're both 50 bucks on amazon.
Would you recommend the hyper x or the g430
Logitech G930
>Comfy fit on the head and ears
>Long range; you could go to the kitchen and get a snack or take a piss and you'll still stay connected
>Long battery life
Honestly the best headset I had. The only reason why I didn't get it again is because Best Buy ran out of stock
>Headset
These are repurpose Takstar Pro80, which were clones of the Beyerdynamic DT770. Excellent headphones in general.
>Would you recommend the hyper x or the g430
well i have the hyper x and have had no issues with it. i have the hyper x cloud 1. solid build quality. massive cans with really really good sound quality. mic is top notch too with crystal clear voice over discord and whatnot.
that being said, i've head good things about the g430 but the mic quality is much worse than the hyper x cloud. at the end of the day nobody will really care how you sound as long as they can understand what you're saying.
>$300 headset
>Put a paper towel over my head and clean my ears to prevent grease from breaking down the imitation leather.
>Visit buHnroP and have my ears blasted out by volume naturally set to 12
OP's headset is fine. I have several headphones and headsets and the cheap third-rate headsets you can buy on Amazon during lightning deals get the job done as well.
Sennheiser Game Zero is selling for cheap on Amazon right now, but even then it's really not worth it. Gaming headphones just do not work well with music.
Audio‑Technica ATH‑MSR7BK - Neutral headphones.
Sony MDR 1A - Moderate bump in the low end.
Panasonic RP-HD10 - Very slight bump to the lows, boosted a little in the highs. Sounds a little hollow if you aren't used to it. Gives a live feeling to everything.
You WILL like one of these headphones, guaranteed. As for a mic, the Sony ECM-CS3 is a great choice.
I am using pic related because they were cheap as fuck from an accommodation at work but they are closed. So I think I am going to buy some HD598 from work for like 70 bucksm too bad I don't think the VModa boom mic will work with them.
core
t: guy you replied to
the ONLY choice is an audio technicha ath-m50x with an antlion modmic. good mic+good headphones for $200.
>30-50 dollar
>I don't think the VModa boom mic will work with them.
It does, you need to mod them though.
the base on the hyperx is insane. i love bass so these headphones were literally perfect for me and super cheap too. i was actually considering getting dt770's as an upgrade from the hyperx cloud but they're probably the same, or close enough that a non-audiophile like myself won't notice the difference
The soundstage is too close on those to be good for video games.
would recommend.
Neat, apparently one of my friends has them I'll talk to him about them too, but those look like a good deal in my opinion.
>the base
*bass
The SHP 9500s are $49 on newegg.
I've heard from multiple people that if you're willing to pay that amount of money yeah I know that headphones can go far higher than that you might as well get the ATH-MSR7BK.
there's no point in headphones if you aren't gonna take them places,
and i'm not gonna use open backs in public like a douchebag. get some speakers.
the soundstage is good enough for me to hear where spies are coming from in tf2.
Another option is the Sennheiser 598 + modmic, which is what I'm using. Combined with Dolby Headphone and 7.1 upscaling and the open soundstage, the surround sound really has a natural feeling to it.
>not having multiple headphones for all possible occasions
the mic is $60. refer to
you say that like there's more audio peripheral-related occasions than alone vs around others.
SHP 9500 + Modmic
Why does this dummy head have a mouth
It looks like it's screaming for help
Neat. I probably won't want to do this until I have had the headphones for a bit. I am retarded when it comes to this stuff and I don't want to ruin them immediately.
I have for music, games, summer, winter, for when I can carry a bag, or something I can put in my pocket...
>g430
That mic sounds like ass.
>logitech
youtube.com
>$20 sony mic
youtu.be
summer and winter headphones? bag headphones?
that just sounds like an excuse to spend more than you need to on your hobby/collection.
Have you used closed headphones when is 35ºC outside?
I actually have these. They're decent, and are pretty flexible.
the hyper x is clearly the best option. best sound quality and best mic out of these options
I got this on a fat black friday sale.
They're probably a piece of shit but I'm the farthest thing there is from an audiophile.
i don't go outside when it's 35C outside. if for some reason i have to for a long time, i'll wear earbuds i guess.
