Alright fair enough, its just hard to believe that I am the only one here that is interested or hyped in this, I am probably not, but its been awhile I havent seen Sup Forums shit unanimously on a game every other thread about it.
It doesn't look as particularly refined or interesting as Hyrule Warriors did, which is quite a downer. They haven't even really shown any mode that's equal to Adventure Mode. They've talked about shit in interviews, but it'd be nice to actually see any gameplay footage of such things.
On top of that, the roster isn't very great either. Way too much Fates and not enough for the other two games involved.
I'm excited for it too. I'm not sure why you're expecting any positivity or goodwill out of the Fire Emblem fanbase on Sup Forums, especially when you're also getting a rabidly vocal group of vehement musou-haters in the mix.
why didnt they talked about a nintendo direct for this? game come out soon in japan and the fire emblem direct we had at the beginning of the year was more of an unveiling then a showing.
Hyrule warriors had a direct only for it talking about everything in the game a month before I think.

This is part of the problem with this game.
People are shitting all over the roster and comparing to Hyrule Warriors where they "covered a ton of games with obscure characters".
The difference is, Hyrule Warriors doubled its roster with DLC. Unless the 3DS version was your first time playing it, you don't realize how many characters were actually only in the base game.
In the base game, JUST like Fire Emblem Warriors, Hyrule Warriors ONLY had Ocarina of Time (first), Twilight Princess (popular), and Skyward Sword (newest).
ALL the rest of the other games characters and content came after as DLC.
The same will be happening with Fire Emblem Warriors. Shadow Dragon (first), Awakening (popular), Fates (newest).
This is a KOEI game, there will be plenty of DLC to come. The final roster hasn't even been fully revealed yet either. People just need to wait.

probably? These kinds of games are fanservice first and foremost. If you started at awakening Warriors is great for that purpose. If you didn't it's gonna be shit for that purpose
What I take issue with is less the roster and more that the game just looks jank. I hope it sells well regardless. I'm quite enjoying FE being a premier Nintendo IP. Though even without Warriors the fact that Heroes is making mad dosh is probably good enough.
I like Fire Emblem and also the occasional musou so I'm excited.
I am. I realize the game doesn't look the best, I get why some people aren't interested. But it does look like a lot of fun. The graphics aren't the best, or particularity good but how silly it looks at times and the mindless fun that sometimes you just need in a game just appeals to me somewhat.
I think the roster would have always been a mess. You simply cannot include every lord from all the games into this and have a good or interesting roster. Hector might be my favorite lord and I would love to play as him, but I get why he was cut and am not going to throw a fit about it like so many other FE fans. No mater what they did I feel like the roster was going to be a mess. They could have done a better way to explain it though then what they did.

Super Mario Warriors would've been a way better idea. Like each of the main 4 (Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser) could have at least 5 weapons each, there's lots of room for cool fighting styles and stuff

Not yet. But it will come as time goes. The saves are locked on the console and nintendo will always factory reset the console when repairing it, so you will lose the saves.
I can't event get excited about the roster getting better with DLC, since the DLC character in Hyrule Warriors were just "there", and there was never a reason to use them since they weren't needed for any of the Adventure Mode stages.
I expect any DLC characters of this game to be as lazily added as the HW ones.

I get a laugh every time someone posts that webm. It is so funny to me and I wonder how anyone thinks this game will be bad when it gives you laughs like that. How many games amuse you so much by such a tiny part of what one character can do? Not many. getting only 10 characters isn't a big deal when there are only 50 characters in the franchise you would want to play as, it's different when you only get 25 characters from mainly 2 games when their are over 700 from 12 different games
Idk if you seen how they added new character with the DLC in the 3ds version, but every maps in adventure mode had every characters used in the wii U maps and the new new maps to get hearts and new weapons.
So I hope they do the same with the DLC in this game, because I have to agree as much fun as were the dlc characters in the wii u version, you could skip on using them at all.
Why did they think FE would be the crazy musou, if anything it should be just as grounded as Hyrule Warriors if not more so, I never even played Hyrule Warriors but I compare the videos and it blatant that way more care went into than FE Warriors with the models and animations, there are less enemies and more of a focus on playing smart, how the hell did they not think FE was not a good choice for that style of musou?

I wished so hard for a Fire Emblem Warriors-type game after seeing the surge of other Warriors-type games succeeding and now it's happened. Fucking hell, I still don't have a Switch.
I want this game to be good but the truth is another one piece musou would blow the fuck out of it in comparison. More varied characters more varied fighting styles and combat animations. More varied environments, I remember playing the gundam musou game on ps3 back in the day and its just kind of a button mashy experience where all the characters feel samey.
No bullshit if they made a smash bros fire emblem with only the characters from the choose your legends or held another voting thing for fan favorites that would get my dick way harder than this.

I have absolutely zero problems with it being fatesawakening pus Marth and a few other SD.
I have issues with who they chose. To me, the entire reasoning behind narrowing down the gamepool to three games is so we don't end up with a roster of just sword lords with the exception of Hector and maybe Ephiram given how much Japs hate SS. So picking three games and then selecting characters from those three to me makes sense. It gives the devs a much more narrow focus to flesh out the three games they pick, rather than just the posterboy.
But then they turn around and give us nothing but the Royals for Fates. Fates has a ton of possibilities for unique and different movesets. What about your maids who can manipulate ice and temperature? What about Kagero who not only meshes with KT's titty ninja agenda, but is one of the only half-way memorable shurkien user? Jakob? Two very different types of subhumans? Ophelia to have mechanics involving the special attack bar a la Young Link from HW? Hoshidan magic which summons illusions or whatever they do? No. We get none of these. Just and only the Royals in the most safe move possible. That's not to say the Awakening cast we've seen is good either. Rather than trying to see if they could make Staffs work as a weapon, they just cop out and give Lissa an axe because "war cleric bro".
And to top all of this off, they don't even represent the characters well. Camilla being a Malig Knight SHOULD be able to use both an axe and magic. So by any logical stretch of the imagination she SHOULD be doing things like bolting enemies to stun them in early combo chains, then finishing up with chopping them to bits. I doubt Leon will even use the Brynhildr correctly. It probably won't mess with gravity, or the earth, or summon trees, or anything. Aqua probably won't use water or singing/dance. Just swing a stick around.
Game looks like ass too. Dives way under the bar set by HW from what I've seen.

My hype is entirely dependent on the Shadow Dragon characters, right now. The Awakening characters that I like are not in it, Walhart, Anna, Vaike, Miriel, Owain. The Fates characters that I like are not in it, Odin, Niles, Beruka, Saizo, Selena, Setsuna, and Oboro. So the only source of hype for me is Caeda and Camus. Athena would also be appreciated.

Corrin is limited to a sword. Although she transforms, you can only have one weapon equipped at a time, and Corrin is restricted to swords. That's actually why Frederick can't use a lance or a sword despite Great Knights being able to use them and also why Camilla is restricted to Axes and lacks Tomes.
