if something was good for its time, that means that it's bad now and that means it was bad then. you just fucking measured it wrong, a game that is good is always good.

I couldn't care less what compare it to, that doesn't change the fact that anything that can be deemed influential from Dark Souls stemmed from Demon's Souls. The only substantial differences was the healing system and an interconnected world, the latter was not unique to Dark Souls.

Considering the two best criticisms I've seen for it are 1. that it doesn't force the player to use its combat to the fullest as well as it could and 2. that the hub is a bit too large and empty I'd say it's still damn near the best game ever made in terms of what a game sets out to do and be and what it accomplishes.

I don't know whether Autisrinas are worse than NVBs or vice-versa, but they both need to get out.
