When did you go back to console?
When did you go back to console?
I play on pc and ps4
the switch is the only console I've bought since my ps3
I didn't because there's no reason to. Consoles are no longer worth it when they only have 1 or 2 interesting exclusives.
Bought a PS4 last year for FF XV and it was pretty good. Did the same years ago for FF XIII with PS3.
Back in 2015 and then my Bloodborne Box did nothing but gather dust so I went back to PC only.
I never left them ;)
When I lost my frontal lobe in a freak gardening accident.
underrated post
Never. I only play it at work these days.
Never
When Breath of the Wild came out. I couldn't ignore that 98
For the few games that aren't on PC, fag.
tiny -the hide all the aliasing- super colorful pictures. the most nunitnendo thing there is.
i never left
Had a gaming PC until one day i encountered so much cheating it drove me crazy. Rage quit PC for a year.. Relentlessly played overwatch, souls, etc.. hacker free. Until i grew bored. I got tired of the same shit over and over. Mowing down noobs like grass. I then became enlightened in a dream. I went back to PC. Why wtf? Simple. Hackers, cheaters, and trolling make PC gaming more interesting. Less boring. Trolling the troller. Its an art form. Also... Once u go 4k at 120 FPS at 120+ hertz... you never go back. All from a dream i shit you not.
Never unless you count the switch which I barely play.
>Relentlessly played overwatch, souls, etc.. hacker free.
*edit " Relentlessly played overwatch, souls, etc.. hacker free on console** for a year while i quit PC
When the xbone released. I couldn't afford new parts for a comparable PC at the time. So I got the next best thing and haven't looked back. I can more than afford to build an absolute monster but a 4k TV and XboneX is far more appealing. I like my games to have an active playerbase, which PC version of multiplats don't have... at all. Just look at Gears of War 4; PC players bitched and moaned about getting crossplay for versus multiplayer instead of just horde and now they're complaining that most console players opt-out of crossplay servers.
i had a ps2 back in 2003 with a few games but it was used mainly as dvd and cd player in my room. i played more pc back then.
in 2011 i won a xbox 360 from some facebook lottery with gears of war 1 + 2 and a friend gave me dark souls and forza horizon a year later. that was the time when pc gaming became worthless for me since pc exclusives were shit anyways and my pc was mainly used to watch porn.
because of the games with gold program i owned already around 20 xbox one games in 2014 without owning the console, so my decision was set what console to get.
i played path of exile on pc but now the game released even on the xbone, so my pc is just a workmachine where i develop games.
pc gaming went to shit and i already played all the classics so i stick to console.
>this entire post
I never left. I can't afford a PC every year but I CAN get one or two councils when they drop in price every few years and a new gen one a year or so after release when their libraries get decent enough.
>a pc every year
do you just pour drinks into it
you dont need a new pc every year, a high end one will last you at least a gen
>super colorful
90% of the gameplay all you see is a yellowish piss filter
> players using stick vs players using mouse
gee I wonder what could possibly happen
June 2011
>dropped playing vidya altogether in 2006 because too busy with college, interest in the hobby dying out, and ex-gf asking me to stop because video games are for kids.
>get degree, left the control freak of a bitch, work till i get to a good enough position to start spending on shit.
>no idea what to spend savings on, decided to go back to video games and get a PS3.
>play FO3, BamHam & RDR
>fall in love with video games all over again.
>invest on a PC months later
10 years ago and not planning on going back to pc anytime soon. cheaters, hackers, pirates, dead communities can stay there while i play on console from my comfy couch and 60inch tv.
How else are you supposed to pay your respects in a tragic story focused moment when the game doesn't give you a "Press 'F' to pay respects" QTE? Gotta pour a drink out for your bros.
It's pretty evenly matched in Gears of War. Being good at evading damage is more important than being good at dealing it at high level play. Controllers provide 360 degrees of movement while keyboards only provide 8. If you play Gears of War on PC then you probably use a controller anyway.
Too many good console exclusives
i bought a ps4 for bloodborne and persona 5
And how much is a high end PC? I paid $300 for my PS4 Pro, $80 for my PS3 and $20 for my PS2. Even with all of them combined I'm pretty sure a high end PC is still more expensive. Plus there is also the games.
I have a decent PC but it's already a bit outdated. I need to replace it soon but I know jack shit about computers, so shopping for one is always a thing. Consoles are straightforward compared to that. Financial wasn't the only reason, just the most prominent.
I only play amazing console exclusives like Bloodborne and...uhhh...Bloodborne.
Wanna know how I know you don't go innawoods?
1991, Master System after the Commodore 64
Still have both today so I guess I've been idort forever
>hurr hurr muh exclusives
playing on console has little to do with that as far as im concerned. its about not having to sit at some shitty desk 20cm away from a monitor, not having to deal with windows updates which suddenly ruins your performance, not having to play with hackers and third worlders in general.
Started on PC then went full console for PS1, PS2 generations then went back to full PC and stayed for 9 years then went back to full console for PS4 and haven't looked back. It feels like I made the right choice to go PC last generation and despite missing out on a couple noteable games I was having too much fun modding games, doing the whole graphics and GPU upgrade thing, organizing my emulators and downloding a ton of free games, porn and movies but something I can't realy explain told me Playstation was going to be huge again soon and to leave the PC platform behind and really it was getting kind of boring anyway since PC exclusives that I was interested in beginning had all but vanished and multiplats were just so boring that I'd always find myself in repetetive multiplayer games or grindy MMO's that go nowhere with a population in a perpetual state of dying just to try and fill the void. Bloodborne may be a meme at this point but PC just doesn't have a killer app like it, and that is part of the reason why I'm back on consoles, I want to follow the best games and dont want to be left behind and I've already had my fill of Overwatch style multiplayer shooters, years of it and it's boring as shit to me now.
Also I never want to end up like a salty person like this
Just to play without hackers for good, I'm gonna buy a console this month.
I'm tired of dealing with dead games because everyone left to escape from hackers.
Just watched this movie
It wasn't very good.
Man, that is some hardcore false-flagging there. No one goes "full console" once they have a PC. There's no reason to. I have a PC, PS4 and a Switch. How you can go "full console" for the PS4 is mind-boggling. You say multiplats are boring, so I assume you're sticking to exclusives, of which the PS4 has barely any decent ones. Don't post your little lists, I already have a PS4, I know whats on it. What do you even play when you get bored of Bloodborne and P5? Rewatch Uncharted and TLOU?
Don't pretend you were ever a PC gamer. You had a shitty low-range rig which you bought pre-built and realised your poorfag dollars were better spent on a console. I don't have anything against console gamers. I'm a console gamer. But false-flagging to trying and push your platform war bullshit is pathetic.
moved country, had to leave the PC behind and wanted to stay in contact with bros back home
when portables started becoming not shit
if I'm in the mood to sit down and look at a monitor/tv for a few hours, my PC pretty much always wins and has won for the last 2 generations despite owning a ps4, WiiU, 360, and ps3.
Vita and Switch on the other hand, if I'm feeling lazy and just want some comfy couch gaming, or I want to sit outside under the shade, I go for them instead. They both compliment my gaming PC nicely.
never, with expcetion of few exlusives, there no point anymore
I quit console when I found out about the wonderful world of Emulators. I have an external that runs most emulators. I still have a 360 though.
Went from PC to console in 2011 through 2012 prior and during my year in Canada, went back to PC in 2012 when I got back to the U.K. Been debating if to get a PS4 but inconsistent frame rates give me a headache and the only game's I'd want are SAO:HR and that exclusive horror game I forgot the name of.
>Bought Vita July '13.
>Bought Ps4 in March '15.
>Bought WiiU October '15.
>Bought 3DS October '17.
They're photoshopped too.
Anybody can go between console and PC as they choose especially now that PC no longer has many games that are PC-only as all of them arrive to console (disregarding highly niche games like Journey Down or classics like AOE which I just play on my windows tablet). I felt multiplats bored me last generation but that doesn't mean I don't play them now, I enjoy multiplays and PS4 also has a lot of great exclusives. If you must know I am currently playing Persona 5, Yakuza Kiwami, Everybodies Golf, Odin Sphere and have Ys Viii and Digimon Cyber Story coming in the mail, there's more than enough to play on PS4 (I didn't even include games I'm not actively playing but haven't yet beaten like Nier Automata, Crash Bandicoot, etc)
I was a PC gamer before hardcore salty fanboys like you begging clinging to this platform and deriving toxic superiority from it to compensate for your own personal inadaqucies and insecurities as I said it was my first gaming platform and I'm not pushing console war platform stuff, you are just very loyal and defensive about your choice of platform and I'm sorry it offends you when I say that a console can replace a PC and that PC no longer has any killer app games. Hopefully you will grow up someday.
