Mississauga boy here. Go to sleep, Toronto.
Make me, I'm going to enjoy my beers thank you very much
Fair enough. Have a good night, man!
New Zealander here
One level of POE I suppose? we always hear when someone tries to make a new-zealandey setting because the local Maori try to sue them
Actually there's a couple of other ones but I can't remember the names
It's in the same state, so it kinda counts.
Live In LA
YOU AIN'T GOTTA LIKE IT CUZ THE HOOD GON LOVE IT
Scott pilgrims ost is still my favourite in the beat em up genre
>racing game
>lets you slam and camber your car to an impractical level
To each their own, but this is my favorite feel
No longer available?
I remember having a blast with the game back when it released
I felt a pang of painful nostalgia when I got to the Cambridge Crater and saw this
My house was burned down and forced my family to flee Massachusetts
Licensing issues. I've heard that if you did buy the game you can redownload it though
>Racing game
>Spend more time making car designs than racing them
>New Mexico
HALF LIFE BABY
Any games taking place in Cape Town?
I was scared to go to the mall for months
Closest a game ever came to where I live was the ending of GRAW 2 taking place in Laredo
That's shit. The game was suprisingly good.
I'm pretty close to seattle, so it was fun to run around and wreck that shithole
Mate, Lord of the Rings games.
>game is set in modern day London
>red phoneboxes everywhere
Yeah it truly is the coolest feel haha
Any /kansaskino/ I can check out?
My country got featured in a Medal of Honor once
Uncharted 4
name a game set in Australia thats not a desert level
Valve did a really good job.
Fairfax VA here, was pretty neat exploring the DMV in Fallout 3. Replace raiders with beaners and it's pretty much the same in real life.
Yakuza :)
Really? I should get around to that.
youtube.com
It's cute that they made this part of Lisbon history, but the city is much more vertical.
>tfw the only games that take place near my hometown are WW2 games
The closest place would be from RTCW, which is around 50 km away form me (Paderborn).
>Deadly Premonition is still the only game even worth remembering set in my state
Hey me too, Vegas is pretty cool actually.
Has 7th gen emulation gotten good enough to the point where we can play this again?
don bradman cricket 17
Why is there no Vita port of this?
Running through DC in Modern Warfare 2 was pretty great, they did a surprisingly good job of getting the streets and architecture feel down well.
>Not following rock creek park to your house out in the suburbs
Game sucked, but he maps were cool at least.
Name ONE fucking game based in West Virginia.
There are no games set in the UK that aren't in London.
A sports game probably
People here still laugh about Resident Evil 4 portrait of rural Spain, with those farmers with deep latin american accents
>tfw from New York.
Made the Spiderman games really cool.
>tfw live in Hawaii when they announce Pokemon Sun and Moon
I know a lot of the die hard pokemon fans thought it messed up in too many places, but it was the only game I've enjoyed since gen 2 although I stopped playing before gen 5
Country Roads Simulator
Resistance: Fall of Man has levels outside of London, in Manchester, York and such.
I like how Hawaii is getting a lot of love in media these days.
There's some shitty indie STALKER-like that I read about last month that's set on Oahu. Nightmarchers I think it's called?
Hm, I never played that as it was PS3 only. Sounds interesting though.
>mfw living in seattle
>mfw playing any game set in seattle
War of the Monsters has a cool little fake strip level that's fun to destroy.
Vegas here too!
Stop using licensed music! Stop it!
Funnily enough, L4D2 takes place where I'm from.
Loved The Parish because the French Quarter is a really unique place in Louisiana.
Watch dogs had me excited, but it fell flat completely. Doesnt feel like Chicago.
Why are they all so awful?
It's not even just vidya, it's movies and TV too.
Are we cursed?
Mark of Kri (maybe)
I don't think it's actually based in NZ but it takes it's inspiration from it
SHUT IT
I'd greentext a list of everything wrong with this place but I can't be assed. The answer is yes. Get out before the earthquake hits or Kim nukes us.
Frasier is GOAT though.
Only in a very meta way
No need to make a list, I live there and there's tons of awful stuff.
But I do kina love it all the same.
'course, I'm a weirdo who enjoys being outside in the rain and prefers grey skies to the sun.
Music wasn't the reason it was pulled. Sometimes the distribution license lapses, and that's why it gets pulled. Just like the Alice games, and a few other games on Steam. Plus, the music wasn't licensed; Anamanaguchi created the music for the game. In the same way you don't say that several game soundtracks are "licensed" by Jesper Kyd.
What the hell are you talking about, it's rained exactly once during our six-month long summer. With the wildfires, this shit is southern California tier.
I've lived here for nine years and I'm still extremely bitter about falling for le sick supermodel meme. See you in Iceland.
sage for offtopic
>PC version with DLC included never
>every game that takes place in New York involves criminals or the city being destroyed
My wife Chino is so cute
That's one of the awful things. This year (and recent years in general) has been terrible for me weather-wise. I've avoided going outside all summer apart from when I have to. Doesn't help that I've got bad lungs so the smoke in the past few weeks has been attempting to murder me.
19 years, my dude. Lived here since I was 4.
My only experience with iceland is stopovers during international flights, but it seems like a nice place.
>game has a character from where you're from
>he's a dad-less black rapper from the only notable city who's only got 1 hit
fucking Dead Island
Melbourne fag here. I wish there was a game set here but it'll never happen. Melbourne isn't 'Aussie' enough
A bunch of sports games I imagine.
Krater takes places in Sweden as well iirc.
He was also the best character to play as with 3 other people.
>stomping zombies with everyone yelling "who do you voodoo bitch"
its not, get a pc nerd
What is the best way to play it on PC? As far as I know X360 emulation is garbage.
>finally a game taking place in sweden!
>fucking ikea
i admit in tears laughing
Fallout 4 has my hometown of Malden, MA as a location
Too bad its a shit game
You can buy the DLC still, through the game's store.
The devs really get me
>You are Canadian
How about you kill yourself eh buddy
Fucking leaf
Played Fallout 3 while being from Maryland but living in Alexandria and going to DC often for work. I've even been inside Raven Rock. Probably caused me to enjoy the game much more than I would have otherwise.
>Bone Zone backward compatibility
>They won't do it for delisted games
>Forced to keep my 360 to play Afterburner Climax, Outrun Arcade, and Scott Pilgrim
Nice IP mind if i hack it?
>tfw no games set in Waterford
Some of the places here are absolutely prime for a Fallout game
Not mine, it was from a Mario 64 Online thread the other day. Didn't see it up there.
Dude don't I'll do whatever you want just... please
It's a pretty big deal in Shadowrun.
>One THPS level
Minneapolis/St Paul get jack shit for games
RPCS3
ayyy how did that game go anyway? i was too tired to get on for that
Maine isn't known for much but the GOAT vidya series takes place here. Feels good.
What games take place in Los Angeles?
No GTA
GTA San Andreas
GTA 5
You mean SM64O or Fallout? If the former, I'm not a good person to ask because I don't think it's my thing. Until there are objectives or literally anything is synced between players, it's neat, but a bit pointless. Its like playing a single player game where really laggy ghost players can hit you and your star counter goes up faster.
The only reference I've ever found to my hometown in vidya was an off handed mention in a log entry from the new Prey reboot.
SM64O obviously, wow its nothing from the sound of it
...
