He's so fucking cheap he sells his video games and consoles for fucking chump change, even if he liked the games

>He's so fucking cheap he sells his video games and consoles for fucking chump change, even if he liked the games
>Wastes hundreds or even thousands of dollars over the years by selling his games at a loss and now has no game collection

People who sell games are retards

I sold my Gamecube and 3 copies of melee at a profit, actually.

>found out gamestop repackages used games to sell as if new
>cut off all thought of doing business with them every again
Don't use FUCKING gamestop kids

>Buy PS4
>Beat Bloodborne
>Sell PS4

I recently sold my 3ds and Vita.
>New 3ds is poor quality and wouldn't survive much longer in my hands
>Vita was good quality but had a poor library
Better just buy games on PC, the collection stays with you and stays playable.

Nah OP it's better to sell the game at a loss and then get a new experience than hold onto the game and then keep spending more for new games

LOL GET IT BECAUSE PS4 HAS NO GAMES HAHAHAHAH!! xDDD

>give my DS lite and R4 to a friend when I get a 3DS
>he likely never used it and now I can't play all the excellent exclusives I didn't get around to

I believe you because one of their ""new"" games I purchased ended up giving my 360 a virus.

>Had to leave my videogames when I moved countries because I couldn't justify the extra cost of more boxes.
I regret it every day.

>b-but HZD is goty!

how does that work?

>mfw my parents sold my gamecube and game collection to help pay for the mortgage when I was a kid

You missed out on persona 5 and nier automata.

>everything i ever brought i sold at a profit
>if i dont make profit i do not sell it

Dude, most games I don't care about enough to keep
The only PS4 game I've kept is Bloodborne
The rest I played then sold
How could you be proud of having a video game collection?
It isn't a hobby, it is just entertainment

I just pirate games I've beaten if I ever feel like coming back to them

What's the fucking point of collecting? Gee golly josh I remember how I put 60 bucks to get that piece of plastic and the DVD inside it, good times. Nothing on the physical side of vidya has any value, especially now that they stopped making booklets inside which were sometimes fun

>don't know how to sell games online
>so I sold 20 ps3 games to a video game store for like $35

What the fuck was I THINKING

I agree, OP.

Take better care of your shit, nigger.

>it isn't a hobby
how would you know that? Besides, I might want to return to them at some point.

I've never sold a game, only refunded some on steam that hasn't worked or I didn't like

>not selling 90% of your games and only keeping your favorites

How few games do you buy that you arent just wasting space and money by keeping them?

Well, the only PS4 game I've played repeatedly is Bloodborne, therefore I've kept that game

I never sell anything I get
This is about 1/8 of my vidya stash

Parents sold my Super Nintendo with like 15 games but I don't hold it against them cause we were poor as shit and I was playing ps1 at the time

that's fine
I have tons of games and I wish to sell none.
Actually, there is one game I wish I could refund; disgaea 5 for switch. But it's a digital purchase like most of my games so no can do

>most of his games are digital

Are you 15?

what in the actual fuck, do you have corrosive hands??

20. I do have alot of physical copies but I mainly play on pc nowadays and a bit of switch too, all my games on these two are digital.

Feels good not selling anything for cheap.
Just today I discovered that Pal editions of Persona 2 and 3, complete with additional shit and package, are worth 150-190€. I bought them years ago for 20€.

Do you sell multiple copies of a game though?
Tbh I got autistic over the fact that one game had the disgusting "Essentials" game cover and I bought another copy of that game just so I wouldn't have to look at the hideous essentials cover.
I will never buy a disgusting essentials game again. I'm fine with greatest hits and platinum covers though, at least they don't look like dogshit.

Not him, but when I find a game I already have for cheap, I buy it and sell it.

>persona 2
Duology or just IS?

Innocent Sin. But it must be complete with poster and all that things that came in the box.
The game without the extras is around 40 or 50€

Fuck man if you werent in europe id offer to buy from you. P2 duology are my favorite games of all time

>That guy who "grows out of video games" and dumps his collection for a buck each only to buy it back in 8 months.
>He does it again.

??

>thinking your plastic trinkets have actual real world value

I treat games as going to the cinema, you pay for a bit of entertainment that holds no value other than the time you enjoy it.

I sold Rule of Rose to pay for my mortgage when I lost my job. Covered it and then some.

>growing out of video games

This is why I wont go too crazy with buying games. I'll only be buying stuff I want to play.

New 3DS XL has crap paint that chips off. All the other modes are a solid piece of plastic

>Wait 30 years to sell an unopened game to millionaires
You better all do this

P2 is awesome, and P3 is awesome too. P4 is good but I enjoyed it a bit less than 3. Still have to play 1 and 5. Also I'm a big SMT fan.
I got the Strange Journey limited with the cd from the usa since in europe it NEVER came out.
We got fucked over with Smt IV too, waiting for something like 18 months...

Dupes generally are because of belong 2 gf

Of the persona games we have both played, we have very similar taste.

P1 is good and p5 is somewhere between 4 and 3, imo. You seem like a cool dude.

>he is such a fucking hoarder he keeps his video games and consoles for fucking decades, even if he disliked the games
>Wastes hundreds or even thousands of dollars over the years by keeping his games on his shelf and now ignores his game collection

People who don't sell games are retards

I quit my job with no savings so now I'm selling my collection online, everything from Atari 2600 to last gen. I can easily emulate the majority of my collection if I want to play a certain game.
Also I realized literally NO ONE is impressed by a big video game collection. No one that matters anyway.

this desu

Thanks man. You look cool too from your tastes!

>even if he disliked the games
This is a stupid thing to do. Nowadays is impossible to buy a game and discover you don't like it since we have internet and we can check out before buying if the game is something we can enjoy, it's not like back in the 80s/early 90s where you would judge from the cover and hope for the best.

>parents made me sell my PS2 after high school
>i had to give away all my games with it

this sucks man

But back then you could also just go to a friend's house and copy the game CD and try it out yourself. And don't even start implying game reviews are unbiased and trustworthy.

What do girls say when they see your vidya stash?

I'm in the middle, as you should be.

I've always wondered what the end game is of these retro autistic who collect the unplayable garbage that is the NES library.

your mortgage was only 250?

>copy the game cd
What? Games used catridges back the, PS came out in 96 or whatever.
Yeah, no one had a sega cd/philips cdi or shit like that here.
Also, someone had to buy the game first in any case, were it you or your friend.
>reviews
Who care about them. Online you can see how the game is, videos and so on. I don't care about reviews at all.
Also, in the 00s I used emulators to try game boy/advance games before buying them.

>console peasant
I should have known.

My gf goes crazy, she loves it because she likes videogames.
My friends love it too because of the good memories, I used to play a lot of them with friends, even the single player ones since I used to let them play them if they didn't had the console.

Jokes on you, i use steam too :^) I'm not some retard that believes one must play only one console or another, or choose between consoles and pc.
I like to get everything I want.

if you weren't playing games on a console in those days you were a literal idiot

Sounds like a shit excuse. I got my N3DSXL on launch and have used it for thousands of hours, and no paint or plastic has chipped off.

>I'm not some retard that believes one must play only one console or another, or choose between consoles and pc.
I like to get everything I want.
My man.
>I own ps1, ps2, ps3, ds, 3ds, new 3ds, wii, switch, psp and pc, which is my main platform

>first mintendo console was DS
Made me think, my man.

Brofist.
I have
>NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, Switch, GB, GBA, DS, 3DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, MD (Genesis in usa), ATARI2600 and PC
>planning to buy a PS4

well, maybe when he was young he couldn't get all the consoles he wanted.
I had to choose between n64 and ps one.

My little brother constantly sells his games. Pisses me off because sometimes I'd like to borrow them. He used to have a collection and be proud of it but he is bad with money and can't stand being broke for a week. He has bought and sold final fantasy x like 5 times. Kind of reminds me of PC pirates who constantly reinstall/uninstall games and bitch about it. Like shit nigga, you only have a 40 GB computer or something?

Who sells games? Sly collection thread?

...

like said I was a little baba nad my big siblings wanted a ps1 I guess, I was too little to remember
coolio. I forgot to mention my dad has two amigas but they don't work anymore sadly. We had a shit ton of games for that

>3 decades of emulators and roms.
>dumped all physical copies into roms before selling
Physical media has a shelf life you know, even PS1 games are gonna be dead soon because natural degradation of the protective layer of film on the disk. The shelf life of a CD is roughly 25 years before it's unplayable due, unless it's perfectly preserved from oxidization.

>25 years shelf life
>my laserdiscs still work to this day

what a load of crap.

>Brofist

200

Most of the time though this is just a rough lifespan of guaranteed use. CDs can last upwards of 40 years if kept in good condition. But the guaranteed lifespan is 25. This is mostly to protect producers asses collectively. Sort of like best by dates.

Though I will mention something funny. Capcom recently released Street Fighter 2 on a red cart as a anniversary commemoration. On the box is warning may cause fire. Not because the cart is badly made, but because the SNES console hasn't been in production for over 2 decades and natural wear has made them a fire hazard. Legal implications because of this make it where you state that the cart may be a fire hazard.

I legit did that for Persona 5. 100% worth it.

The only thing I have sold is my n64 jungle set and to this day I still feel bad for doing it
And some GC games, but I already got them back

Nice retro collection man!

hi nazi cyborg

> n64 jungle set
You mean the one with DK64?

>caring about what others do
How old are you exactly?

*also on ps3
*also on PC

Sold my ancient NES/SuperNes/N64/all sega consoles and all my games (about 150) on craiglist for enough to buy me some heroin (about $80 for the whole pack)

Never do drugs, kids.

thanks man. diggin' those n64 games.

Yeah the DK64
All I have left is a yellow control, Majora, Mario Tennis, Kiryby 64, transfer pak and the rumble
I really feel bad about it, it was my Christmas/birthday gift

>tfw european limited is a gimped version of the american one
>at least we get the better Metroid legacy edition

N64 was really awesome. I'll never forget the days spent with my friends while collecting stars in mario64 or hunting gold skulltulas in Zelda

Why did you sell it?

To buy magic cards, the good thing is that they are eternal stuff, so the cards didn't lost value
I still have my XEGS, 2600, NES, SNES, GC, GB, GBA and a DSI

I hope you got a black lotus card
