Warhammer
Medieval II: Total War
look at him and laugh
this user is right
Shogun 2
Medieval II
better question: what's the best Mod for ME2?
I'm torn between SS 6.4 or broken crescent. Third Age: Divide and Conquer is also great if you can manage to set it up properly
Reminder that M2 is broken garbage which 10 years of modding couldn't fix.
pre-Empire engine > post-Empire engine
Medieval II > Rome > lol who cares
Shogun II > Atilla > Rome II > Napoleon > Empire > Fantasyshit
imagine being THIS wrong
I don't think Rome II is better than any other Warscape game, tbqh my man
Rome
Bannerlord
i thought it was fun
Is Atilla a good entry to the series?
one of the very best imo
No! It's hard, I needed guidance from my bro to grasp it.
Shogun 2: FOTS is perhaps the best entry. Then Shogun 2 is good.
Good. I want to watch helplessly add Byzantium falls apart. The campaign sounds amazingly sweet.
I like Shogun 2 the most
It's hard but it's also very ugly and unoptimized. Playing as Western Roman Empire gives some good thrills though.
Someone, please help me. I'm stuck in the ninja tutorial. I've been trying to finish it for two years now, playing a couple of hours every few months.
Modern Warfare: Empire, though I like the Units of Shogun 2 more.
Classic Warfare: Attila
Objectively the best history title in the series.
>Fantasyshit
Opinion discarded you historycuck. Still mad you got jerked by CA with another Warhammer title? Were you expecting China Total War with jungles?
I expected nothing
and I was still disappointed
Medieval II is the best. They are all really good except the fantasy trash warhammer.
>all these people claiming M2 is the best
Yes, nothing like laughably clunky controls, painful UI, atrocious campaign and battle AI, no unit variety, horrible animations, 1v1 dance off battles, zero unit collision, and unresponsive units.
Best mods though.
If they fixed the pathfinding and horrendous blobbing, it would be 10/10
forgot my webm
my favs are Shogun II / FotS, and Napoleon. I really liked Shogun I and Medieval I, but I havent played them in more than a decade so they probably dont hold up
>fantasy is shit
>unironically posting anime reaction images
how about you unironically kill yourself
Shogun 2, Attila, Warhammer
I'm too retarded for Napoleon but it seems pretty cool too
Ugly and unoptimized?
I assume western Romans > eastern because of muh alt history?
Warhammer is for faggots. The game has been casualized to retarded faggots like yourself can play it.
>deepest combat and most responsive campaign and battle AI yet
>casualized
Sieges, stances and overworld, yes.
Battles, AI diplomacy and unit variety, certainly not.
it has more variation in units, more variable metagame in multiplayer, more viable tactics because of how many units are actually usable with the right strat. ergo there are many more things to worry and think about during the game
it just seems like your basis of it being 'casual' is that its a setting you dont like
Retarded fantasy faggots detected, not worth replying to anymore. Kill yourselves you worthless shitters.
Solid opinions, my dude. Sure showed us.
Fantasy is literally the only reason any more historical titles with a budget will get made.
>shogun2/fots
>Napoleon
>Atilla
Which one and why?
Medieval II, with Shogun II a close second.
Attila is the best mechanically.
FotS has the best gunpowder.
Really just depends what setting you like more. All of them are great games.
I'd go with FotS but I'm a sucker for victorian era warfare and Japanese history so thats just me.
I like Attila a lot but all of my friends hate it. One friend only plays Shogun 2 FOTS because he has a weeb fetish and another only plays warhammer because he can't handle anything non-fantasy
My only gripe with Attila TW is it's not cool making the huns literally immortal until you kill Attila. Like yeah sure I get that they're supposed to be unstoppable and shit, but damnit if we can mount a defense and slaughter stacks of them, they shouldn't be able to bring full stacks back. One of the best parts of historical titles is its great seeing changes in history, but you can't do that if the huns will ALWAYS run rampant and you can't do anything about that unless you ally with them
never played this, are there war elephants in medieval 2?
Literally all of these things are in Rome I, and Empire, and Shogun 2, and Rome II, and Attila, and Warhammer
yeah, timurids also get elephants with a cannon on their back.
Thanks.
>t. noob looking at series with interest
in Medieval 2 you can enter a cheat to spawn a bunch of war elephants into your army
>No! It's hard, I needed guidance from my bro to grasp it.
so the game is bad because you're too retarded to play TW? even needed help from your >bro? fucking underage posters, I swear.
>it's also very ugly and unoptimized
I disagree with both of these.
Attila is objectively the best historical entry
hey is that femdom?
Medieval 1. The patrician choice, everyone saying otherwise is an underage b&
Medieval 1
I need to know I want to buy it. I did like ROME II
This
But fucking this as well
I'd also like my archers to do their fucking jobs. Usually barely half of the unit even bothers to fire and God forbid a single ONE of them gets engaged in melee, rather than slaughter the attackers with point blank arrows every single one of them stops firing (or trying to fire if mid animation) and immediately resorts to daggers.
It's frustrating.
These two know what they're talking about.
Fall of the Samurai, hands down.
Shogun has the best melee combat and FotS has the best shooting.
Parrot guns OP, though
