What's your opinion on Atelier series?
What's your opinion on Atelier series?
Arland series had its issues but they were mostly fixed by the enhanced ports.
Dusk series started good with Ayesha but ended up pretty mediocre as a whole with Shallie being a pretty low point.
Mysterious series is a blunder. Gust has fallen.
>Bought the Arland trilogy for 20 dlls each on playasia a while ago
>Some guy on facebook was willing to pay 40 for each because they were are rare to find
>I never opened the games
>Contact the weeb
>Got more money than i previously had
I think they are great.
sophie is a cutie
Only played the old ones and only managed to get through 2.
Was pretty decent up until the Dusk Trilogy, with the Mysterious Trilogy pandering too much to casuals.
this user gets it.
Pic related is my favorite from the Dusk series.
pick one btw
Totori is sex
Bully sex
Playing with cute girls and recruiting bros is fun.
Ayesha >>>>> everything
It went to unoptimized bs thanks to pc
It's absolute garbage, except for the super cute art. You're better off buying an art book than playing this trash series.
I think it's hilarious even nip otakus call Gust on their bullshit for loli Roronoa. Even the worst of the worst, the lowest scum on Japan thought loli Roronoa was shit pandering
I think it's sad
Nippon started calling gust on their bullshit since all "bishijou festival" shit started, kuni was sold well only because of marketing and after that all trust in gust was lost.
Astrid was a fucking mistake. I wish they would've gone back and done a 3rd Mana Khemia earlier, but it's too late now. Even if they revisited the series now they would just ruin it.
I'm retarded. I mean Arland.
>kuni was sold well only because of marketing
Tell me more about it
Being a Gustfag is suffering
Is comfy
Seems all right, wish the Arland+ series was on PC though because fuck playing them on portable.
Rorona and Tototori are the only ones I feel I could stand being around honestly
Couldn't force myself to finish her game. Tells a lot about quality of it because even Shallie was good enough for me to beat in two or three days.
I feel the same man. Haven't even picked up Firis yet because I'd feel obliged to finish Sophie first.
I'm at the part where I crafted the puppet for Plachta. I'm not even a third way in, am I?
Alchemy mechanics are fun, time limits keep the game moving and I like their presence, but the base JRPG surrounding these two things is just sort of mediocre. Not awful, just fairly basic.
It took me a lot of willpower to want to play through all of Sophie because of how lame the idea system was. It just felt like things were never moving forward until you finally filled up the bar for obtaining a new memory. The combat was also horrible. I didn't have these issues with any of the previous Atelier games. Hearing about Firis being worse also worries me.
Yeah, I don't think you're at the halfway point yet. I may be misremembering though.
Which ones have a good OST?
Meruru has a fun battle theme. That's something that always stuck to me.
I personally only disliked sophie ost
Every other game was fine
