Two weeks ago I got fired from my job. Surviving on my savings alone I was able to pay my rent, insurance, and internet bills(the ones that come at the beginning of the month) and eat comfortably. Originally I was going to be responsible and not get a new game this month, but just ten minutes ago I got a call from a company I had an interview with last week. I start a new job tomorrow that pays me significantly more an hour, to the point that I will make what I made at my old job in half the time. So now I am going to treat myself, but for security reasons I will only partake in one game this month. Should I pick YS VIII or Metroid Samus Returns? I am a long time fan of both franchises and will eventually buy the other, but which should I buy today?

metroid is more likely to get spoiled so if thats something you worry about get metroid. Ys will sell decently but you can always get it later
Landon Harris
Spoilers have never bothered me, nor have they ruined a story for me, I actually prefer them in a weird way. But that's beyond the point, I played the original Metroid 2 on gameboy as a kid
Henry White
Ys 8 will be half price in 6 months. Nintendo games never drop in price.
Lucas Flores
What was your job pal?
Mason Murphy
Get Metroid, YS will drop in price faster. Also congrats on the job user, it feels fucking good doesn't it?
Mason Reyes
I was a marketing manager for a convenience retail chain, now I'm a marketing coordinator for a non-profit
Kevin Carter
It feels amazing, especially after a week of being unemployed and feeling like a deadbeat loser

>Spoilers have never bothered me, nor have they ruined a story for me, I actually prefer them in a weird way It's not weird, most people are like that. Spoiler whiners are just extremely vocal and have convinced people that spoilers ruin stories. Research has shown that people enjoy stories MORE if they're given spoilers.

I can decide between studying business informatics or marketing (probably fashion related). Any idea which one's better and more fun job?
Easton Carter
Well for me, the lack of surprise makes me less mad when something is done poorly, and if it was done well, I get to go in looking to see the technique in which it was done. Shock value has its merit, and its for comedy games like Rhythm Heaven

I chose marketing because it combines almost every field. You need to look into the psychology of why consumers pick what they do, you need to look into the geography and anthropology of the culture, you need to look at the philosophy of business to pick your niche, and then you get to mix your product/commodity with film/music/literature/traditional illustration all to get the economic metrics in your end goal. Not to mention my first marketing job was basically being on facebook and twitter all day. It was the most non-job I ever made $18 an hour for.
James Turner
Steal Metroid, the rom already leaked
Adam Perry
I have no idea how to mod my 3ds

How important is teamwork? I guess some industries are just shitty to do marketing for (most services like taxi driver or logistics).
Daniel Smith
Depends on the company. Small ones, not so much, big ones, the team is everything
Ethan Perry
Buy Samus Returns, beat it really quickly, and then return it. Then buy YS VIII, beat it quickly and then return it. Wa La, you have your money and the experience.
Adrian Mitchell
It's a fine plan but ys8 is about 40 hours minimum. It's the longest ys game to date.
Brayden Ortiz
Pirate Samus Returns and get Ys, or just get both when you have the money since they're not going anywhere and don't ask such retarded questions.
Camden Green
never played a Ys game. only just heard about them a little while ago and they look like generic jrpgs. I'd get metroid
Daniel Thomas
There's a free metroid 2 remake that is great, so Ys VIII
Gabriel Nguyen
I don't support fan games
Camden James
pirate both you stupid nigger, don't buy entertainment if you don't have a job
