Kill yourself hackmund
So what's the difference between this and afterbirth? Which one should I be playing?
rebirth is great, afterbirth ruined the game and tyrone is the worst person in gaming, even worse than phil fish
Sunk a lot of hours into the original.
Honestly rebirth + expansions is worse, but I've still put abut 150 in.
It's very more-ish, and the regular backtracking allows for easy drinking during a session.
Hate art style, hate poop jokes, like the random drops, how they stack and dungeon creation. Learning how to exploit the game for maximum rewards per level is also satisfying.
Good game ruined by Steakmund and his eternal hateboner for everything fun. Antibirth is really good but the team that made it is kill.
Antibirth
Afterbirth is an expansion put on top of Rebirth, which is the base game. I heard It was really terrible at launch but I wouldn't know since I play Antibirth instead, which is also an expansion put on top of Rebirth but made by the fans.
How can you hate the newgrounds SMB artstyle? Also the shit fetish from Steakmund put everywhere got annoying.
The Antibirth guys are teasing some big secret that's happening in the next update. You think it'll be that they're making it afterbirth+ compatible?
Its core gameplay is horrible. The trash mobs take so many fucking shots to kill that every single room just feels like a goddamn slog. On the other hand, when you accidentally get a good item combination, the game becomes trivial. There's no fucking middle ground whatsoever. I've only played Rebirth, none of the DLCs, but man, I'm not interested in em.
Great game, and Antibirth made it near perfect
If you're good at evading maybe you should try playing with Judas or Eve, you will still be powerful offensively but not having much hp and being weak defensively makes things exciting.
Is the secret making Jakob and Esol not garbage? It's fucking bullshit that if one dies they both die.
Eve is hot garbage
Apollyon, Judas Isaac with d6 best guys
Heard the new music tracks they released for the vanilla floors, that mudeth guy has some talent. Music sounds better than the main game.
how do the dices work,
d6 d10 and d20
whats the point of those powers???
D6 re-rolls an item pedestal, d10 re-rolls all consumables like bombs, keys, hearts. D20 re-rolls rocks into other rocks, iron blocks, shit or tinted rocks.
You're right, she's not very good but I love being "rewarded" for taking the deals with the devil.
I hope they make afterbirth compatible sooner or later, then we will truly have the completed version of the game.
i don't have afterbirth yet. is it worth getting? what does it actually add?
so I gamble what I have for something better?
The game was finished at Rebirth, it only got worse with afterbirth and afterbirth plus. Still the best roguelite out there, the only one I play anymore
Not worth it, it just adds more items for the sake of there being more items, none of them fit the isaac theme at all. Makes the game worse in just about every way.
How about Antibirth?
it isnt worth getting
Antibirth on the other hand is 100% worth it
Enter the Gungeon is vastly superior.
Never tried antibirth and I don't know much about it, but the I've heard it's much better than afterbirth, at the very least
>there are people in this thread that haven't played Antibirth when it's literally free
Go play it, it's also getting a update soon™
have a old trailer

>all this talk about antibirth update
COMING WHEN!?
...
Oh fuck new update? What's it gonna have?
>ITT: Antibirth mod team
>Not liking free item Eden or ez mode Azazel
With d6 you reroll the pedestal item before you pick it up. So if there's some shit item in the treasure room, you have a chance for something really good. It's a pretty powerful item.
d10's not very useful. If there's a bunch of hearts and coins and bombs laying around after you've cleaned a room, but what you're really looking for is a key, then it's handy, but that' situation is limited.
d20's practically a trash item. You might get lucky and get a tinted rock with a couple soul hearts, but there are much better active items.
d8 rerolls stats. Not super handy but sometimes you can get a much more powerful character than the one you've got.
d4 can be incredibly powerfuIl. It rerolls all the items you've collected. If you're only on level two or three that doesn't mean much, but if you've collected a decent amoutn of items you've got a great chance for a very powerful item on reroll. If you've got a bunch of items, it's very easy to get a very ridiculous and fun game breaking build. Or if you don't on the first reroll, then it will make you powerful enough to survive to recharge it and reroll again. Also it makes getting all the transformations a snap. SInce you only have to have posession of each transformation once, and then rerolling it counts as a new one.
D10 rerolls enemies.
D20 rerolls consumables.
D12 rerolls rocks.
Stupid.
Fair enough.
I never bother picking them up.
