All memes aside, how the fuck are you supposed to know that you can bomb it?

...

o my god

Old school games you used your brain

You tried shit

New games are to easy

Power bombs never display the ability to break glass before this point. Because you have a limited amount of them, you probably won't want to potentially waste them.
Super Metroid is actually a really well-designed game, but the tube has no fucking excuse.

The tv ad.

>ITT: I couldn't figure this out when I was 6 years old so that means it's the hardest thing in gaming.

Its "too", not "to". Too.

I played Fusion before I got my hands on Super and it really fucked me up for this part. At one point after the SA-X starts destroying parts of the station you have to drop down a long shaft, while you pass behind a previously accessible (now destroyed) tunnel in the foreground. I assumed the tube was similar, in that you'd just pass by it moving up/down once you were in the proper area.

This is exactly what I thought, except I hadn't even played Fusion.

Damn...I really love the style of fusion

This.
Too bad you'll never see another Metroid game using sprites.

Super Metroid may not be my favorite game of all time but it is the greatest game of all time, never forget it

God I miss the run button

...

That's not how you do it

I remember doing it before guides and the internet so it must have been possible.

>objectively
>resident evil

?

>it might not be my favorite, but in order to fit in on Sup Forums I'm going to say it's the greatest even though that's a glaring contradiction and I only end up looking retarded.

>Because you have a limited amount of them, you probably won't want to potentially waste them.
bullshit.
Until you get the scanner, they're the single best way of discovering secrets. They're certainly worth using every once in a while if you suspect there's something there.

>Because you have a limited amount of them, you probably won't want to potentially waste them.
Huh? Just kill enemies and they will drop more. But still, if there's a huge obstacle and there's more stuff to explore around it, then there must be a way to get through, right?

Do you seriously not understand how you can see something that as your favorite but also recognize its not necessarily the best and vice versa? There is no contradiction.
