No
It's trash
Koei fucked it up so badly
Plus it comes out a week before Super Mario Odyssey so it's basically the video game equivalent of committing suicide
lol fuck no.
im gonna buy it, looks like fun
Hell no
My waifu didn't make it so no.
I'm realizing now that I don't care for FE as a series, just like, 2 characters.
Damn, I didn't even realize it was was so close to Odyssey.
Lyn's in, so it's not "Fates and Awakening Warriors feat. Marth" anymore. That said, NO HECTOR NO BUY SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK
Hell, I'd settle for a generic General character or the Black Knight or something so I can be a big guy with a large weapon.
nah, I don't really care for musou games, especially when all the movesets look so generic like this. HW was okay, because it was full of fun weird shit like the spinner and Midna throwing wolves like boomerangs.
I always thought a FE musou would be a terribly boring idea and I'm exceedingly please to be proven correct. I love FE games, but they're too generic-fantasy to work for something like this.
It's Fates/Awakening feat. Marth and Lyn. Not much better,
This game comes out the same week as super mario odyssey, same with nights of azure literally committing sales suicide in one fowl swoop.
fucking why?
Is this a fixed Warriors roster?
Caeda, Celica, Tiki tho
That's the dream right there.
completely unrealistic, as the filename suggests. There's no point to making fake rosters when you just include everybody and go over any reasonable limits. Yes, of course you fucking moron, this would be better than what we got, because it's what we got + a bunch of other shit.
Get back to me with a fixed 25-character roster and then we can talk.
Why would I when they already put out a superior version for free?
There's still the issue that 80% of the roster is from only two games in a franchise with 14 games to choose from. If IntSys could quell their fucking boner for the Fates royals, maybe we wouldn't have wasted 10 slots on putting each and every one of them in and had room to balance the roster more evenly.
for example, here.
My attempt at a decent roster, taking into account some semblance of reality, instead of just being my personal top 25 favorites. You know there's no way this game wasn't gonna be Fates/Awakening heavy, with a lot of swords. But something like this would have been better balanced between the games, and still account for popularity of characters.
>cuts Michaiah
>keeps Mia
>keeps Sothe
>cuts Berkut
>cuts Robin
>adds Tharja
>tharja
lmao
That's actually really good, too bad it'll never happen.
I will, it looks like some good mindless fun. I might be seeing it better though since my husbando is in it.
micaiah is supremely unpopular, last time I checked. She's a liability.
Mia is the opposite, popular despite being just a random unit with no importance. But I admit to some personal bias here, swap her with Robin if it'll make you feel better about this hypothetical roster.
Sothe is a thief, we need one on the roster and he's easily the most prominent thief in the series.
Berkut is a villain, notice how no other villains are playable. It would be weird and fuck up the story mode, save the villains for DLC or something.
Robin is popular but I hate him/her so I made an executive decision, sue me. Again, swap with Mia if you think that would be better.
And remind me again who the first FE character to get a statue made was? Oh right, it's Tharja. You're blind if you don't realize she's extremely popular. That doesn't mean I like her, but she's gotta be there to get the waifufags on board.
>talks about popularity keeps out most popular Nohrian royal.
no
>it's a "Berkut did everything wrong" episode
yes
This is the Switch game I've been excited for since the beginning, since I don't know why, but I fucking LOVED Hyrule Warriors & Legends and put hundreds of hours into both of them. I've even went as far as to start collecting all the FE amiibos in advance when this game was announced, so I can abuse them for gameplay purposes due to expecting similar free drops and items as HW.
The only thing that even comes close to deterring me is the fact Odyssey will release just a week later and the understanding that FEW will improve over time with patches and DLC to make the game crazier.
Berkut did nothing wrong and we don't deserve him
Replace Mia with Nephenee since Neph surpasses her in the FEH poll.
>inb4 feh poll
Yes its the most definitive poll to date taking all regions into account using the internet and not just a JP magazine poll
I've never played Fire Emblem, but I like Musou and want this game.
Why should I be upset about the lack of Hector?
If it has the same replayability and customs/unlockables that Hyrule Warriors had then yeah Day 1.
Didn't HW have Canon playable right out the gate?
Tharja got a figure but ultimately the Robins who are much more recognizable than Tharja, that's just a fact. Plus Tharja only works as a character with Robin around. Due to the the three of them being mages they're going to have the same playstyle, it's unavoidable.
He's a broken unit in his game that people love. Hes like Ike.
This.
Nips prefer Nephenee, Mia is more liked by Westerners.
who here gonna be /HappyWhenItFlopsBecauseNoSNESEraReps/?
I want to get it but my budget is really tight until the end of the fiscal year. The truth is I would only probably play it for a total of maybe 4-18 hours in total. This is due to it being a musou and in essence basically a button masher/poor 3D version of side scrolling beat'emups. I still want to give it a go. Since it's a nintendo title it will basically never go on sale either unless I get it second hand from someone directly.
This applies to maybe one or two other titles coming out as well. I would like to buy them but wont because ultimately I would not invest that much time into them and even as a novelty experience I would probably rather keep the 60~ USD for savings or for an time related event (e.g. convention, travel for company/leisure, imax movie with limited release).
I'll end up playing these titles and more at magfest. Maybe buying them further down the road if they really stay with me in some way that makes me want to come back.
I'm actually kinda disappointed that the OCs didn't make it into Heroes. Seems like a wasted opportunity
Im sure Cipher and Warrior units will make it into Heroes eventually since Heroes units are in Cipher. We have a TT so they probably want to focus on those characters first. Warrior units might come during the NA and EU release if KT doesnt have a problem.
There's only two of them, so it's not like they could make a new unit banner by themselves when even three is considered rather low and a poor half month that it'll be featured. I say give it some time for the game to actually be out and let people play it and then we might see them show up as a Tempest Trial prize or something similar.
Now that you say it, making the TT centered around them would have been the smartest marketing move and best way to implement them. Then again I'm perfectly content with more Tellius so I won't complain. Was just expecting more in terms of crossover marketing, though the SP grind on the warriors maps is pretty nice so there's that.
>11 out of 24 character all are sword users
>No row for the Jugdral games, despite the ASSLOAD of characters in them
>No row for Magvel
>No Hardin
>Michaiah
Tharja was in TMS #FE and Robin wasn't. However Tharja's dynamic with Kiria was great. She doesen't really need Robin to be herself.
Still not adding Tharja and Azura to Warriors was straight up moronic. Even people who hate them would be blind to not admit their popular.
>out of three bow users, all three are actually axes
Yeah, bad or GOTY I don't even care, I wanted a Fire Emblem musou since the very day HW was announced so I can't simply ignore it.
> >60 characters before DLC
wew
FEHfags are slowly but steadily becoming my most hated Sup Forums fanbase.
Nah. No Tharja no buy.
Like that's a problem with the whole moveset reusing they're pulling off.
Planned on it. I don't see a reason why I shouldn't. People are complaining about the roster but if that's the only complaint, that doesn't bother me.
The game will probably be fun to play, it just waster so much potential.
All lance users are Peg Knights.
Robin is the only mage foot soldier.
Camilla is the only Wyvern.
Marth/Celica copied Zelda from HW.
Celica looks like shit. Her model was so rushed.
Seriously....what the fuck....?
Honestly, yes. I've only ever played Hyrule Warriors so I'm not sick of the Musou gameplay and I want that shit on the go.
They still have to model each character record lines, supports, give them something to do in the story, and each move set would have to be used like seven times a piece to get the game out on the schedule they had, which is way too much.
>robin is the only mage foot soldier
Aw, what? That sucks. What's Elise?
A Valkyrie.
It's gonna flop but that's because of Mario Oddessy, though in this case it flopping and Heroes still going strong will likely force them to actually evaluate why it flopped, which could lead to a lot of conclusions.
Heroes is doing well yes, but it also isn't heavily focused on Fates/Awakening hell most of the Fates royal were only released via GHB or a banner. Which shows that KT could have gotten away with not having them in the base game. Which would have opened up the roster. They could have just been regulated to DLC.
The fact that Heroes is constantly releasing content probably helps it's popularity
You mean the game that sold like shit?
Game sells bad =/= game is bad. Most WiiU games sold horribly but the system still had plenty of greats.
Ike's games had abysmal sales but most agree that they were good.
>Ike's games had abysmal sales but most agree that they were good.
That's because the characters continued to be popular even though their game sold like shit, which only proved to IS that the game itself isn't unpopular send the sales figures for the game was deceptive. If that wasn't the case then they'd forget about them.
That isn't the case with #FE, people just willingly forget about it.
You just reinforced what a said....
A bad selling game does not inherently mean it's a bad game. Like TMS #FE FE9 and 10 had crappy sales, but the people who did play them enjoyed them.
Besides the bad roster, I have serious doubts about the gameplay itself.
Animations are incredibly stiff, musou attacks looks anticlimatic, and there's no interesting features beside the weapon triangle system, the "adventure" mode looks generic.
Problem is, I'm still looking for a good co-op game on switch, and this game have co op.
Hilarious that Intelligent Sys forced in Lucina but not Azura.
"Too many swords". heh...
A bad selling game doesn't inherently mean that it's bad, but it could mean that something wasn't being done right, especially if people forget about it. That's the case of what happened with #FE, people didn't just not buy it they also forgot about it, which means that it simply didn't strike a cord with anyone.
What's worse than simply being bad, is being forgettable.
The only people who "forgot about it" are the ones who didn't play it.
No shareena? user what is wrong witb you
Deal with it chump. Aint going nowhere
Which is a poor excuse when you consider how popular the characters from Ike's games are.
I just want the Elise and Tiki models for lewd purposes.
Because the Radiant games have been out for over a decade now and have had exposure due to Ike being in Smash Bros. Comparing them to a game that is less than 3 years old is silly.
On 3ds, yeas
That's another poor excuse since it applies to every single Fire Emblem game ever. Sacred Stones has been around for even longer and yet it's characters aren't popular, ditto Tharcia 776, and every single Gameboy Advanced and SNES Fire Emblem ever.
But there were several Fire Emblem 8 characters in the top 20 of Choose Your Legends. That's not really a viable comparison either considering that Path of Radiance came out very soon after Sacred Stones, while PoR predates TMS #FE by about 10 years.
Anyway what was the point of this again? All I said was that Tharja can be entertaining without Robin around proven due to her role in #FE.
But that doesen't matter anyway since popularity had next to nothing to do with the roster of Warriors. If it did Frederick and Lissa wouldn't be in and Tharja and Azura would be.
No because it looks like shit and gets even worse with every new information released to draw me even more away from it and I'll just get instead Wolfenstein 2, The Evil Within 2, Shadow of War and Mario Odyssey instead since they release on my birthday month.
Let's try this shit again. Make an ideal Warriors roster using only the characters in this image, and only three from each row.
Hard mode: You have a cap of only 25 characters.
Nightmare mode: You must include a character of each color in each row, and you must pick 1 TMS character as well
My point was that the only game that Tharja was in without Robin was also a game that both failed to sell well and to be remembered. Also we know that the characters from Ike's game have been popular from as early as Awakening's release.
forgot it lol Fuck my life.
I wanted Camus, Minerva, Linde, Tharja, and Azura....
Guess this game wasn't for me, so I'll pass.
Did you forget what game were talking about? This is a musou, only japan gives a shit, and Japan's getting it next week.
DLC dood
It's already gotten overtaken by Odyssey in the Nip market.
No Azura because "too many Fates characters". lmao
My waifu isn't in for some reason, but the music samples they put in Heroes are so GOAT that i'm tempted to buy for that alone.
>tfw the character you wanted most is extremely popular but gets in only after a character from the casualized sequel to his game and fucking Celica
He should have been the Marth clone instead of Celica.
They should have taken a page from Heroes's book. just two-four Fates characters on release and the rest released in a download pack. IT would have solved their problems.
If they do a Choose Your Legends winner pack with Ike, Roy, Hector, and Tharja (and none of them being clones) then I might get this game. They shoved in Lyndis and Celica for no reason so why not the rest of the biggest fan favs? And them skipping over Azura for that dumb reason is straight up comedy.
NO EPHRAIM NO BUY
>Choose your Legends winner
>Tharja
lol remember when people claimed Horizon Zero Dawn releasing the week before Zelda was "suicide" despite the fact that it released on a console with 60M+ users whereas the Wii U had 11 and the Switch at launch only had like 2M?
Hector and Tharja were both in 3rd place on the Choose Your Legends Poll.
If they only take 1st and 2nd then they should remove Hector too then.
>3rd Place
>Winner
By the way how the voting gauntlet works they had to include Hector and and Tharja. But 3rd place isn't winning anything.
So they should remove Roy and Lucina because they were 2nd and didn't "win"?
Anyway I specifically said Hector and Tharja due to the fact that there are no armor units and such few axe users, along with the fact that Robin is the only infantry mage (which is incredibly stupid).
Roy and Lucina were never called winners, user. They got special units because the rules for the polls were that 1st and 2nd place would get a special art. However if you got 2nd place then you aren't a winner. I doubt that they're finished with their reveals yet.
You didn't even mention that there were no dark magic users, unless they gave it to Validar
At least you have Validar. Imagine being a lightfag.
I don't think that Fates had any dark magic users.
Rhajat?
Validar isn't playable, and from the footage he seems to be a clone of Robin. He's the least popular of the Awakening villains on top of that.
It would make more sense to have a playable Tharja or Henry and have them use Flux, Nosferatu, Ruin, etc..The only Dark spell Robin has is Goetia...which doesen't make him much of a Dark Mage that's for sure.
Hoshidan magic users don't use dark magic.
Nope, Validar is a Robin clone.
