Why did it fail?
Why did it fail?
platinum
forced motion controls
Miyamoto.
It was a rehash of Starfox 64 with worse controls and mediocre voice acting
new Venom sucked dick but Andross turning chrome like in the SNES game was rad as fuck
huge learning curve with the controls
great idea but it completely turned people off
It was a Star Fox game, for good or ill. Star Fox without all the conveniences of modern space shooters is really outdated and bland.
In their attempt to win over everyone by delaying the game to "fix" the motion controls, they scared off longtime fans and new players
Not to mention it's 90% all-range mode with worse gyro than the one on the 3DS
I just wanted a better Assault
>outsourced
>remake instead of sequel
>worst console ever
Sector Omega: blasting through was the only thing that was exciting to play from that poor ass game.
Not enough waifus
>remake
Reboot, for something like the third god-damn time.
No fucking Macbeth.
I am still goddamn mad.
Too many shit stages
Star Fox Guard was better
it was better than assault
The StarFox series never really worked out as games
It'd works better as a comic or animated series
But Nintendo should stop making any SF games
People wanted a new Starfox. Not old Starfox that looked like shit in all the promotional material up until it was released.
It couldn't compete with a 20 year-old N64 game.
nailed it
I was thinking about Star Fox yesterday.
What about this? Star Fox and the crew are heading back to Corneria after a mission when ROB 64 intercepts an unknown transmission. The message has an attached nanovirus that infects ROB and spreads to the Great Fox meshing the two of them together. The team escapes with their Arwings, but the Great Fox enters hyperspace, or wahtever the SF equivalent is, and gets away. The team has to figure out where the Great Fox is and defeat nanovirus ROB to save him and the ship.
Gameplay would be like mass effect 3rd person over the shoulder and squad building. Though when you travel to a new planet you have to complete an on-the-rails space shooting portion first.
Lack of content.
The controls were terrible. I tried playing the game myself, and while I liked it, I couldn't have fun with it at all because of the stupid fucking controls. It had so much stuff that felt like it would have been cool and fun to do, but I couldn't pay attention to it when I have to keep switching my vision between the two screens. The game was just nearly unplayable for me.
...
found it cheep today for 20 dollors. will i have a good time?
