What is the comfiest PC game?

I want a game that I can barely play and still enjoy while relaxing and drinking beer.

Stardew Valley

Yeah I'm a big fan of that game, though I can get kinda bummed out by the level limitations of items and stuff.

There was that game that came out recently that was a bit Zelda/Animal Crossing on PC, but didn't get great reviews. Forget the name though.

As a side, I've found EDF4.1 and Sky Rogue really fun and pretty chill.

EDF reminds me of PS2 games with friends when we were 13.

Old School Runescape.

I used to play runescape when I was 14 or so, was super chill but back then I didn't want chill and didn't have a clue what I was doing so I just mined around that scorpion bit and got spooped when a scorpion attacked me.

Minecraft and and I also personally love the Emperor's New Groove PC game. But I guess that's mostly nostalgia.

The problem with games like Minecraft is I'm not creative enough to make the most out of them. I just make a 4x4 wood hut and dig down til I get diamond shit.

My favourite nostalgia game is probably Katamari Damacy. I got Nobi Nobi Boy on PS3 when it still worked, that game was weird as fuck but super chill to play when you barely wanted to play a game.

I am not creative at all and I enjoy Minecraft for it's nature aspect. The walking around and building a house on the ocean beach.
>katamari damacy is 13 years old
Fucking shit.

God damn. A friend and I recently started up a mincraft official server thing, whatever they call it, and it was kinda chill but that died pretty quick.

My first Damacy game was We Love Damacy, then got Katamari Forever on PS3 but didn't really ever play it because I built my PC around then.

As good as PC is, controllers always make a game comfier.

>As good as PC is, controllers always make a game comfier.
I completely agree. I would also dare to say that Nintendo makes the comfiest games. some JRPG's on ps4 are comfy as well if you're into it. Dragon Quest could be emulated if you're into it.

Stardew Valley, really.

What kinda games do you homies play to get comfy, that might not necessarily be considered a comfy game?

I find Path of Exile quite comfy, because you can basically play it 1 handed and watch Youtube or something at the same time.

I'm not a huge gamer, but maybe check out Stranded Deep. It's pretty chill I thought. You might die at first but once you figure out how to stay alive you can just explore islands at your leisure.

Yeah my guy got a Switch recently (£400, ridiculous price) but I can't deny the two handheld controller dudes are comfy as fuck when chillin on the sofa.

Terraria

Stardew Valley is not calming, it's a fucking mess of ticking clocks and timed missions. Never played something so insidiously stressful in my life.

Terraria was cool enough, but past a point it's either not comfy cos you're fighting crazy bosses or you're just stagnating.

This guy knows how I feel about SV. I want a game that basically plays itself, and I just sit there and watch it, but isn't a clicker meme tier game.

No Man's Sky

Now I know the game got a lot of shit for being shit, but the premise seems kinda chill.

I kinda got into Elite:Dangerous, but it was a bit empty.

its comfy user but

sometimes i find it extremely depressing, no other game makes me feel like im wasting time more than runescape does

I used to play MP Inquistion in full drunk mode, with synthwave in the background.

Damn, I was good back then

They should make a game out of the same feeling you got when sitting in Ogrimmar or Stormwind before the shit expansions came out, talking to all the other level 60 nerds.

Antichamber
Audiosurf
Montaro
Meadow
Bastion

>turn up volume for comfy

Oh, how about Age of Empires (3? 2? forgot which was the good one). Just put it on easy or give yourself extra resources. Then you can just ransak your enemies or build ridiculous defenses and wait for them to come and get slaughtered.

I've been into Stellaris for a similar feeling, can be pretty comfy just hanging out in space trying to be friends with people.

Age of Empire 4 had a cool trailer. Shame it's probably going to mediocre. Or 'shit' because Sup Forums hates Relic now they didn't bring back nostalgia in DoW3.

Stardew

VA-11 HALL-A

The Civ and Total war series can be quite comfy with a few beers.

Yeah I can get behind that. I'm not a huge fan of wargames, but Dominions 4 has been pretty snazzy over the 20 or so hours I've played it.

Underrail

>ticking clocks and timed missions
Stardew Valley doesn't ever force you to do anything, you can fuck off and fish all day everyday or go dig in the mines, or whatever and there's never any sort of penalty, SV and most HM games are the ultimate do what you want games

ITT: shitty indie game shilling

How's that game play? I didn't really see much about it besides Sup Forums saying it was decent.

Dungeon Siege

>modern AAA
>comfy
Pick one.

>if I'm a contrarian everyone will think I have good taste
nice try faggot

Age of Mythology. that chill af ost

I used to play EDF 4.1 a lot until I was banned from a session by a French twat because I carried his ass during the game and he was embarassed.

Sorry to offend my dude. It's just that on PC, it's the indie games that have relaxing gameplay, especially when compared to AAA games.

Wouldn't call any of the Ages games chill.
They're competitive as fuck.

Stellaris

TES/Fallout and online MP game servers can easily be modded into such.
Also MMO's exist.

Otherwise you're right.

i've only got to mission 20 or so on hard, would be happy to play with you if you wanted to play more with a scrublord.
Adzinger on steam.

>MMO's
and into the trash it goes

It's like fallout in similar to metro setting. But with more combat and exploring.

I dunno, I played WoW for a while recently and as much as the gameplay was repetitive (grinding for item level stinks), there's a definite "just leave it running"ness to the game that's quite comfy.

I'm not at home right now, but once in a while, I don't mind.
"Big Blank" on Steam.

great podcast/yt video game

Proteus

Now that's exactly the "genre" I want more games from.

try factorio on peaceful mode

Corker of a game.

I'm gonna say two of my favorites that aren't posted relentlessly in comfy threads.

Chime and Peggle Nights

Good thing the AI is braindead on normal or lower

I'd say it's pretty challenging even in normal.

Oh god damn peggle.

Peggle and the sims 2 were my jam when i was younger.

Might have to reinstall them, though I remember the later levels of peggle being a bitch. That octopus bitch from the expansion had a crazy special power that made it all pretty easy though.

subnautica
cities skylines
civilization

god tier comfy

>subnautica
>comfy
What?

>being afraid of digital water
It's comfy as fuck dude.

The water is a little bit comfy, but the beasties living there aren't that comfy.

sure its scary when youre deep but that comfy safe feeling when in shallow water makes the game feel nice

sims 2

And when you're in a base that's solidely anchored.

>not being man enough to kill anything that fucks with you
Nah, you just need to get over being a little bitch. Once you kill your first reaper 1v1 with a starter knife the game stops being frightening. Except for going out of bounds into the void. That just has a fucked up ambiance.

I've never played the game, but them kelp forests I've seen from pics look gross and scary as fuck enough for me to never pick it up.

wow is such a good podcast game user

runescape is goat though

...

>Once you kill your first reaper 1v1 with a starter knife the game stops being frightening
Well, no shit.
I beat that if I could kill the xenomorph in Alien Isolation by ramming a plastic spoon in its butthole, I'd be less scared of it too.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

youtube.com/watch?v=1kj080QCjOg

age of empires is not comfy at all.
Its fucking stressfull.

Damn bro don't leave us hanging, what did it look like?

That's why any game where the baddies are killable isn't a horror game.

gimme a sec I'll find it

I'd say Ittle Dew and Ittle Dew 2. Fun little puzzle-adventure games with a focus on solving puzzles, with cute artwork and a silly story.

It's called Yonder: The Cloud Catch Chronicles
youtube.com/watch?v=NrT9WlenOLg
No combat which is comfy but lots of walking about aimlessly I guess.

honestly moutain blade

And why I start being scared of everything the moment I boot up Alien Isolation while I can safely pick my nose all I want in Dead Space.

Chase the Sun

While I can't think of anything to do in that game, Mineycrafta is comfy as hell.
