Oblivion is my favorite game of all time, but even I can see it was just the first step towards a massive Graveyard Spiral of quality and effort on Bethesda's part. Every game they've developed since Morrowind has been a step towards a more retarded, casual, mainstream, audience and it's not going to stop any time soon.
The best way to describe it is that I was excited for Skyrim, interested in Fallout 4, and now dreading what they'll come up with for TES VI.
